Pondville Cemetery, located on Everett Street, is one of the two oldest cemeteries in Norfolk, Massachusetts. It was established c. 1757, when Norfolk was still part of Wrentham, and now abuts the town line of the two communities. Its address is just inside Wrentham's town limits. It was established to serve the residents of the Pondville village, which was first settled in the 1730s. The cemetery is laid out on a series of terraces that rise from Everett Street to the west, with the oldest graves in the southwest corner, near the Wrentham line. The oldest stones date to the early 19th century, and one of the most prominent markers is the c.1877 Victorian memorial to Captain Abijah Pond, an American Revolutionary War veteran.The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Pondville State Hospital, located in Norfolk, Massachusetts, opened in 1927 as a state-operated hospital to treat cancer patients and do research on the prevention and cure of cancer. It was located in buildings of the former Norfolk State Hospital, which served the mentally ill and drug-addicted from 1914 to 1919. Pondville provided surgical services, residency training, training for Licensed Practical Nurses (from 1949), and outpatient care. From the 1920s to the 1960s, facilities included on-site housing for many employees in separate multi-unit "cottages". New hospital buildings were constructed in the 1960s but as the state deemphasized direct patient care, it was agreed to sell the facility to the privately owned Norwood Hospital in 1981. (Norwood Hospital was totally ruined by a flood in July 2020 and is currently being rebuilt [SEPT 2023])

The Wrentham Developmental Center, formerly Wrentham State School, is a historic state-run medical facility for the treatment of psychiatric and developmental disorders. It is located on a large campus at the junction of Emerald and North Streets in Wrentham, Massachusetts. The school was authorized by the state in 1906, and the first phase of the campus was developed between 1909 and 1917. The school opened in 1910. The school had a typical patient population of 1,200-1,300 during the 1920s. The name was changed in the 1990s. The school campus was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Massachusetts Correctional Institution—Cedar Junction (MCI-Cedar Junction), formerly known as MCI-Walpole, is a maximum security prison under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Correction. It was opened in 1956 to replace Charlestown State Prison, the oldest prison in the nation at that time. MCI-Cedar Junction is one of two (the other one being Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center) maximum security prisons for male offenders in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As of January 6, 2020 there was 346 Maximum and 65 Medium inmates in general population beds.MCI-Cedar Junction also houses the Departmental Disciplinary Unit (DDU). During the 1970s, Cedar Junction (then known as Walpole) was one of the most violent prisons in the United States. It is located on both sides of the line between the towns of Walpole and Norfolk, and has a South Walpole mailing address (South Walpole is not a political entity). In 1955, Richard Cardinal Cushing, Archbishop of Boston, built Our Lady of the Ransom Chapel at the center of the prison. As of June 2009, MCI-Cedar Junction serves as the reception and diagnostic center, which receives all new male court commitments for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Department of Correction.

The Pondville Correctional Center is a minimum security/pre-release Massachusetts state prison. It is located 36 miles southwest of Boston, Massachusetts in the town of Norfolk, Massachusetts. Because this is a minimum security facility, there are no walls or fences to keep prisoners in. Security is maintained by inmate counts and strict accountability procedures. On January 6, 2020, there were 151 inmates in general population beds.

Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary in Norfolk, Massachusetts. It is among a network of sanctuaries with the Massachusetts Audubon Society. The 104-acre sanctuary is adjacent to the 140-acre Bristol Blake State Reservation. Both areas are managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). A 1 mile (1.6 km) trail starts around by encircling Stony Pond and ends by a waterfall at the site of a former mill. The trail is wheelchair accessible and includes a 525-foot long boardwalk, installed in 2017, that allows visitors to view birds, wildlife, and the wetland habitat over Teal Marsh and Kingfisher Pond. Wildlife found there includes turtles, ducks, geese, great blue herons, and muskrats. The sanctuary also has natural history exhibits, programming space, a gift shop, nature play area, a picnic area, and a butterfly garden.

Bay State Correctional Center (BSCC) was a small, general population medium security facility that stood on the grounds of the original dormitory buildings of Massachusetts Correctional Institution – Norfolk. It housed both long and short term inmates and many inmates who were elderly because the entire facility was handicapped accessible. The facility was officially opened in 1977, to combat prison overcrowding rates, with an original capacity of 72 inmates. BSCC was under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Correction. As of April 2015, the state moved forward with plans to move inmates out and close the facility to save money. As of December 2015, the facility was officially closed.

Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Norfolk, or MCI-Norfolk, is a medium security prison in Norfolk, Massachusetts under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Correction.Though it is rated medium security, it also houses up to 98 maximum security inmates. Opened in the early 1930s, MCI-Norfolk is the largest state prison in Massachusetts. On January 6, 2020, there were 1,251 inmates in general population beds.One of the notable inmates of MCI-Norfolk was Malcolm X, who was also a member of the Norfolk Debating Society while incarcerated.

Sullivan's Corner Historic District is a historic district encompassing a historical rural crossroads in northeastern Norfolk, Massachusetts. The 18-acre (7.3 ha) district includes Norfolk's oldest cemetery, established c. 1736, and five 18th- to early 20th-century buildings currently used as residences. The core of the old cemetery is on the northeast corner of Seekonk and Main Streets, and the cemetery was enlarged north and east from that point in the 19th century. Four of the five houses in the district face the cemetery across Seekonk Street; the fifth, 1 Needham Street, lies across Main Street at the corner, and is one of Norfolk's best-preserved Greek Revival buildings. The building on the corner's northwest corner, Sullivan's Store, was built c. 1913, and is still somewhat recognizable as a corner store of the period, despite its conversion to residential use. It is Norfolk's only commercial building from that period.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
