Round Pond (Duxbury, Massachusetts)

Pine Lake is a 23-acre (93,000 m2) lake in Duxbury, Massachusetts in the village of Tinkertown. The lake is located southwest of Round Pond, northwest of Island Creek Pond, and east of Route 3 near the East Street underpass. The outflow is a small stream that flows into Round Pond. A small subdivision lies along the southern shore of the lake.

Island Creek Pond is a 43-acre (170,000 m2) pond in Duxbury, Massachusetts in the village of Tinkertown. The pond is located north of Mill Pond, south of North Hill Marsh Pond, and southwest of Pine Lake and Round Pond. The pond is the headwaters to Island Creek. The water quality is impaired due to non-native aquatic plants and non-native fish in the pond. Crocker Park, an open space area owned by the Town of Duxbury, is situated along the southern shore of the pond.

North Hill Marsh Pond is a 38-acre (150,000 m2) pond in Duxbury, Massachusetts, USA. The pond is the headwaters to the Back River. The pond is located northeast of Round Pond and north of Island Creek Pond. A wildlife sanctuary borders this pond to the south, and the North Hill Country Club, accessible via Merry Avenue, off Route 14, borders this pond to the northeast. The water quality is impaired due to non-native aquatic plants in the pond.These series of ponds are all part of the Island Creek Fish Ladder restoration project of 2006.The Massachusetts Audubon Society's 129-acre (0.52 km2) sanctuary on Mayflower Street includes a forest, bike trails, and a 90-acre (360,000 m2) pond.

Mill Pond is a 13-acre (53,000 m2) pond in Duxbury, Massachusetts in the village of Island Creek. The pond is located south of Island Creek Pond. Island Creek runs through the pond. Route 3A runs along the southern shore of the pond. The water quality is impaired due to non-native aquatic plants in the pond. The fishway at the Mill Pond dam has deteriorated and no longer functions.

The Tarkiln School (also misspelled as Tarklin School), is a historic school building at 245 Summer Street in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The oldest portion of this school is a Greek Revival/Italianate one-room schoolhouse that was built in 1871, which is the right (south) wing of the current U-shaped building. A matching building, now the north wing, was erected in 1908, and the two were joined by a hyphen in 1926. A kitchen wing was added to the east in 1951. The school's name is derived from the Tarkiln neighborhood in which it stands, which was derived from the presence of tar kilns in the area. It served the town as a school until 1949, and has been a community center since 1951.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009 (where it is listed as the "Tarklin" School).

Mayflower Cemetery is a town-owned cemetery in Duxbury, in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. The first grave was of Stephen Russell in 1787 and the first engraved stone was of Ichabod Sampson in 1788. The Duxbury Crematory, also owned by the town, is located on the cemetery grounds. The cemetery is also known as the "Old Cemetery at Unitarian Church Duxbury."

The Old Town Hall Historic District is a historic district on Tremont Street in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The district includes the town's Greek Revival town hall (built 1840), the Greek Revival First Parish Church, and the 18th-century Mayflower Cemetery. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2021 for its architecture and local historical significance.

The Capt. Gamaliel Bradford House is a historic house in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Built in 1807, the house is locally distinctive for its brick side walls and monitor section above the hip roof. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Capt. Gershom Bradford House is an historic house in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The two-story wood-frame house was built in 1807 by Captain Gershom Bradford. The main block has a side-gable roof, and is five bays wide and two deep. A two-story ell attached to the right rear connects the house to another addition, a replacement for a barn torn down c. 1900. The house is now owned and operated by the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society as a historic house museum, and has been decorated with original Bradford family furnishings to appear as it did during the 1840s. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Myles Standish Burial Ground (also known as Old Burying Ground or Standish Cemetery) in Duxbury, Massachusetts is, according to the American Cemetery Association, the oldest maintained cemetery in the United States. The 1.5-acre (0.61 ha) burying ground is the final resting place of several well-known Pilgrims who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620, including Captain Myles Standish. The site was the location of Duxbury's first meeting house. It was in use from approximately 1638 until 1789 at which point the cemetery was abandoned. It was reclaimed in 1887 by the Duxbury Rural Society, generating a widespread interest in locating the resting place of Duxbury's most famous colonist, Myles Standish. After two exhumations in 1889 and 1891, it was generally agreed that Standish's remains had been located and a memorial was built over his gravesite. The Standish gravesite memorial is today the most prominent feature in the burying ground. The burying ground is now owned and maintained by the Town of Duxbury. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
