University Lake School is an independent school in Delafield, in the Lake Country area of Waukesha County in Wisconsin. ULS opened in 1956 on the 1840 Vettelson Farm near the eastern shore of Nagawicka Lake. Anne Vettelson deeded the land to the School on two conditions: that she be allowed to live the remainder of her life on the land and that students chop her fire wood each winter. University Lake School proudly sits on 180 acres of pristine woodland forest boasting a variety of managed ecological niches including restored prairie, crop and vegetable production, hardwood old-growth forest, and oak savannah. ULS is home to deer, turkeys, cranes, a blue heron rookery, domesticated chickens, managed bee hives, and a herd of goats. ULS has 265 pupils Pre-Kindergarten thru Grade 12 including a celebrated pre-primary program "Little Lakers" for 2-year-olds. Pre-Kindergarten programming includes a nature-based forest classroom, and the Lower School is based on the student-centered Reggio Emilia educational philosophy. The Middle and Upper Schools combine the highest-calibre academic work with an investigative and research-based approach to topics and disciplines. The student experience is based on fostering genuine relationships in intellectual community and discovering and being accountable to one's passions and talents. Current varsity and junior varsity athletics include soccer, field hockey, volleyball, cross country, basketball, skiing, track, tennis, and golf. The ULS college placement program curates an individual plan for each student to ensure that every graduating senior finds his or her best fit for ongoing academic challenge, career discovery, life adventure, and financing and scholarship at the country's most selective programs. ULS opens its doors and campus to non-enrolled students during the summer for robust academic, athletic, forest, and college preparation.

Sitting on 117 acres (0.47 km2) of land, the school has two campuses, a north campus and a south campus. Juniors and seniors attend the north campus, while freshmen and sophomores attend the south campus. Enrollment is about 2300 students at the school, which employs about 200 faculty members.Arrowhead's athletics teams are known as the Warhawks, and its mascot, Wally, is a hawk.

Nashotah is a village in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,321 at the 2020 census. The village took its name from the nearby Nashotah Lakes.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Neogothic Revival-styled church built in 1910 in Hartland, Wisconsin to serve its German-speaking Lutheran congregation. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.Many Germans settled in Hartland in the mid-1800s. In 1867 local Germans and Danes formed a Lutheran congregation, constructing a church building. By 1910 there were strains, and the congregation split along ethnic lines. The Danes bought the old church, across the street from this building.The Germans built this new church building in 1910, with J.P. Peterson and Bernard Nienow as general contractors and the members donating labor. The foundation is fieldstone, with cream brick walls sitting on that, sheltered under a gable roof. The front square tower has a shingled spire topped with a cross. The NRHP nomination deems the building architecturally significant "as a good local example of the Gothic Revival style", but it is a rather squat Gothic Revival, with only a hint of a point on the arches. A 1951 addition to the rear does not detract from the building's architectural integrity.The current pastors are Reverends Steven Ristow and Ben Steenbock.

The Dansk Evangelical Lutheran Kirke is a Gothic Revival-styled Lutheran church built in 1910 by the Danish-speaking congregation in Hartland, Wisconsin, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 and on the State Register of Historic Places the following year.

The Trapp Filling Station, at 252-256 W. Capitol Drive in Hartland, Wisconsin, was built in 1922. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.Originally, the structure was built and used as a house. It was located on the major highway into Hartland, though, and in the 1920s Cornelius Trapp began to operate it as a filling station. Apparently "its location was obviously not prominent enough to succeed in sales. The site was soon used by others, twice as a grocery store by the Elmer Hornburg family and the Ferdi Dombroski family. More recently it has seen use as a handcraft outlet store and a health food market. Members of the Trapp family remained residents of the upper residential areas even when changing commercial agents operated out of the lower area."

The Bank of Hartland, at 112 E. Capitol Dr. in Hartland, Wisconsin, United States, was originally built in 1894. It was remodeled and expanded in 1930 to design by architects Eschweiler & Eschweiler. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The bank, Hartland's first, was opened by George Frisbie in 1894, and it was bought by H.W. Goodwin in 1895. It was a private bank, until it was incorporated in and chartered as a state bank in 1903, the first bank to do so. The bank was prosperous; 1930 was its most successful year.It is the best and only example of Georgian Revival architecture in Hartland. It has prominent quoins. It has also been known as Suburban State Bank.

The Kettle Moraine Scenic Railway (reporting mark KMRY) was a heritage railway once located in North Lake, Wisconsin. It was founded in 1971 by Richard Hinebaugh, who bought a branch line from the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) to create a small museum. It ceased operations on October 21, 2001, because the town wanted to shut it down to make way for urban development in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Nothing remains at the former site, and the right-of-way has since been paved over and is now the Bugline Trail. In July 2015, former McCloud No. 9 was sold to the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugarcreek, Ohio.

The Hartland Railroad Depot in Hartland, Wisconsin is a railroad depot built in 1879 for the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railroad. The depot was the third depot to be built in Hartland. The first depot was built in 1854 with the arrival of the Milwaukee and Watertown Railroad. This was replaced in 1869, but that depot fell victim to a lightning strike and burned down. Therefore, the current Italianate brick depot was built as a replacement. In 1899, the railroad decided to build a more impressive depot, and the 1879 structure was moved slightly to the west to become a freight depot. However, the 1899 depot was destroyed in a 1916 fire and replaced with another depot in 1917, which served until 1969 before being demolished. The 1879 Italianate depot is the only one of the five depots in Hartland to survive. The depot incorporated an agent's quarters, a waiting room and a freight room. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 21, 1988.
