Tur'an

Ilaniya (Hebrew: אִילָנִיָּה) is a moshav in northern Israel. Also known as Sejera, after the adjacent Arab village al-Shajara, it was the first Jewish settlement in the Lower Galilee and played an important role in the Jewish settlement of the Galilee from its early years until the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. It falls under the jurisdiction of Lower Galilee Regional Council, and had a population of 486 in 2021.

Al-Shajara (Arabic: الشجرة) was a Palestinian Arab village depopulated by Israel during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War when its residents were forcefully evacutaed and became refugees. It was located 14 kilometers west of Tiberias on the main highway to Nazareth near the villages of Lubya and Hittin. The village was very close to the city of Nazareth, about 5 kilometers away. The village was the fourth largest by area in Tiberias district. Its economy was based on agriculture. In 1944/45 it had 2,102 dunams (505 acres) planted with cereals and 544 dunams (136 acres) either irrigated or fig and olive orchards. Al-Shajara was the home village of the cartoonist Naji al-Ali.

The Murder of Oleg Shaichat was a kidnapping and murder attack which occurred on July 28, 2003, in which two members of the Arab-Israeli terrorist cell "Free People of the Galilee" abducted and murdered Israeli soldier Corporal Oleg Shaichat.

Kafr Kanna (Arabic: كفر كنا, Kafr Kanā; Hebrew: כַּפְר כַּנָּא) is an Arab town in the Galilee, part of the Northern District of Israel. It is associated by Christians with the New Testament village of Cana, where Jesus turned water into wine. In 2021 its population was 23,705. It has a religiously mixed population of Muslims and Christians from different denominations. A Jewish village during antiquity, Kafr Kanna is mentioned in an extant 9th-century Islamic marble stele. Under Crusader rule, from the 12th to mid-13th centuries, it was a casale (country estate). Kafr Kanna had become a large village by 1300, during Mamluk rule. It flourished as one of the largest localities in Palestine and one of the two market towns of the Safed Sanjak under Ottoman rule in the 16th century, when its population was mostly Muslim with a significant Jewish minority. By the 19th century, its population was roughly equal parts Muslim and Christian, a state which persisted through British Mandatory rule (1917-1948). Since 1948, it is a part of Israel.

Beit Rimon (Hebrew: בֵּית רִמּוֹן, lit. House of the Pomegranate) is a kibbutz located in the Lower Galilee Regional Council in Israel. It consists of a core kibbutz and a residential expansion. It is located in the Lower Galilee on a ridge of Mount Tur'an at a height of 400 meters above sea level. As of 2021 it had a population of 908.

The Battle of Cresson was a small battle between Frankish and Ayyubid forces on 1 May 1187 at the "Spring of the Cresson." While the exact location of the spring is unknown, it is located in the environs of Nazareth. The conflict was a prelude to decisive defeat of the Kingdom of Jerusalem at the Battle of Hattin two months later.

Uzeir (Arabic: عزير; Hebrew: עֻזֵיר) is an Arab village in northern Israel. Located near Nazareth Illit in the Lower Galilee, it falls under the jurisdiction of al-Batuf Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 3,432.

The St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church (Hebrew: כנסיית בית ברתולומאוס השליח Latin: Ecclesia Sancti Bartholomei Apostoli) is the name given to a Catholic church administered by the Franciscan order in Kafr Kanna in Israel, built in honor of Cana, the place where Scripture says was the hometown of the apostle St. Bartholomew. The church was founded in 1885. Bartholomew is one of the apostles who according to the Bible were present at the miracle of the fish: "Later, by the Sea of Tiberias, Jesus again revealed Himself to the disciples. He made Himself known in this way: Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together" (John 21: 1–2) The front of the church features four pillars and a round window above the main doorway. In the center is a Latin inscription: "DOM S NATHANAELIS BARTHOLOMAEI APOSTOLI" (which means The apostle Nathanael Bartholomew). The altar stands on a raised platform, and in front, two pairs of small-sized columns have Corinthian capitals, and a bas-relief depicting the meeting of Nathanael and Philip the Apostle. Nearby is a small cemetery.

The Wedding Church at Cana (Arabic: كنيسة الزفاف في كنا; Hebrew: כנסיית החתונה) or simply Wedding Church, also Franciscan Wedding Church, is a religious building of the Catholic Church located in the central part of the town of Kafr Kanna (Cana), in Lower Galilee, located in northern Israel. It is dedicated to the weddings of Christianity. Its name commemorates the event of the Wedding at Cana from the Gospel of John, thought by some Christians to have taken place on the site, during which Jesus performed his first miracle, by turning water into wine at the request or behest of Mother Mary. The Church is owned by the Custody of the Holy Land, part of the Franciscan order in the Catholic Church. The current church was built circa 1881, and expanded from 1897-1905, following efforts by the Franciscans to acquire the site between 1641 and 1879, when acquisition was completed. Twentieth-century archaeological excavations indicated that, before the current church building, the site housed a Jewish synagogue in the fourth and fifth centuries, and tombs under the rule of the Byzantine Empire in the fifth and sixth centuries.In 1901 the current facade was built, and September 30, 1906, Bishop Angelo Roncalli consecrated the altar. In the second half of the 1990s, the Holy Land began an extensive renovation of the church, completed in 1999.

Sde Ilan (Hebrew: שְׂדֵה אִילָן) is a religious moshav in northern Israel. Located to the west of Tiberias, it falls under the jurisdiction of Lower Galilee Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 658.
