British Hollow is an unincorporated community originally located in the northeastern corner of the Town of Potosi, Grant County, Wisconsin, United States.

The Potosi Badger Huts Site is located in Potosi, Wisconsin. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. It was listed for its potential to yield information in the future. It is an archeological site which includes the remnants of two structures, plus 100 "diggings", shafts, and a possible adit. The site derives "from the early 1830s and was probably abandoned by the late 1840s, when the initial lead boom ended. Covering approximately 10 acres, the site is located on the top and sides of a southwest to northeast bearing ridge that overlooks the village of Potosi."

The city of Potosi is located near its mouth. Tributaries include Boice Creek, Rattlesnake Creek, Pigeon Creek, Blake Fork, Little Grant River, Borah Creek, and Rogers Branch. As part of the Driftless Area of Wisconsin, the river has a substantial valley. The Army Corps of Engineers maintains the Grant River Recreation Area at the river's mouth. Camping, fishing and boating are the main attractions. The river was named for an early trapper who lived on the river bank.

The station is owned by Townsquare Media and licensed to Townsquare License, LLC. The station at one time broadcast a country music format as KXKX ("Kix 102"). The station also broadcasts every home and away game for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League (USHL). On August 30, 2013, a deal was announced in which Cumulus Media would swap its stations in Dubuque (including KXGE) and Poughkeepsie, New York, to Townsquare Media in exchange for Peak Broadcasting's stations in Fresno, California. The deal was part of Cumulus' acquisition of Dial Global; Townsquare, Peak, and Dial Global were all controlled by Oaktree Capital Management. The sale to Townsquare was completed on November 14, 2013. As of March 2022, Dwyer & Michaels is the syndicated morning show on the station, with local personality Tom Drake hosting the weekday afternoon show.
