Goshen Historic District is a historic district encompassing the town center village of Goshen, Connecticut. Centered at the junction of Connecticut Routes 4 and 63, the village developed historically as a rural crossroads of two turnpikes, and has retained its rural character. It is dominated by residential architecture from the first half of the 19th century, and includes churches, a store, and the town's former 1895 town hall. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Goshen is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 3,150 at the 2020 census. The town is part of the Northwest Hills Planning Region.

The West Goshen Historic District is a historic district in the village of West Goshen in the town of Goshen, Connecticut. It encompasses a well-preserved early 19th-century industrial village, with twenty historically significant properties in the village, most of which lie on Connecticut Route 4 between Beach Street and Thompson Road. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Litchfield County is located in northwestern Connecticut in the New York metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the population was 185,186. The county was named after Lichfield, in England. Litchfield County has the lowest population density of any county in Connecticut and is geographically the state's largest county. Litchfield County comprises the Torrington, CT Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the New York–Newark, NY–NJ–CT–PA Combined Statistical Area. As is the case with the other seven Connecticut counties, there is no county government and no county seat. Each town is responsible for all local services such as schools, snow removal, sewers, and fire and police departments. However, in some cases in rural areas, adjoining towns may agree to jointly provide services or even establish a regional school system.

WZBG (97.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting an adult contemporary format. Licensed to Litchfield, Connecticut, United States, it serves the Litchfield area. The station is owned by Local Girls And Boys Broadcasting Corporation.

The Red Mountain Shelter is a historic rustic log shelter in Mohawk State Forest in Cornwall, Connecticut. Built in 1934, it is one three surviving log shelters constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in Connecticut. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The David Welch House is a historic house at Potash and Milton Streets in Milton village of Litchfield, Connecticut. Built in 1756 by one of the first colonial settlers of the area, it is one of the village's oldest buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Trinity Church is a historic church at 536 Milton Road in the Milton section of Litchfield, Connecticut. Built beginning in 1802, it is a distinctive blend of Gothic and Classical Revival architecture that is rare in rural Connecticut. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Mohawk State Forest, also known as Mohawk State Forest/Mohawk Mountain State Park, encompasses over 4,000 acres (1,600 ha) in the towns of Cornwall, Goshen, and Litchfield in the southern Berkshires of Litchfield County, Connecticut. As overseen by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the area is used for hiking, picnicking, and winter sports by the public, while being actively managed to produce timber and other forest products.

The Mattatuck Trail is an 42.2-mile (67.9 km) Blue-Blazed hiking trail that winds through Litchfield County and New Haven County in Western Connecticut. The mainline (official "Blue" "non-dot") trail is a fragmented linear trail with a northern trailhead which terminates at the Mohawk Trail in Mohawk State Forest in Cornwall Connecticut. The trail's southern terminus is in Peterson Park in Wolcott, Connecticut. Traveling northwestward the trail traverses Buttermilk Falls, several Mattatuck State Forest parcels in Plymouth and into Thomaston before crossing the Naugatuck River and Connecticut Route 8 at Reynolds Bridge. The trail then travels across Black Rock State Park from east to west before passing to the west of the Wigwam, Morris and Pitch Reservoirs in Watertown and Morris. The trail passes west across Connecticut Route 63 onto the lands of the White Memorial Conservation Center in Litchfield Connecticut where the southeast trail section ends in a parking lot near Connecticut Route 202. There is a new short disconnected segment approximately 2.5 miles to the northwest on Prospect Mountain in the Prospect Mountain Preserve. The trail begins again to the north in Warren Connecticut at the end of Valley Road at the Shepaug River and Litchfield-Warren border. It passes on the east side of a Wyantenock State Forest parcel on the west side of the Shepaug and Cairns Reservoirs through Warren before entering another Wyantenock State Forest parcel at the Cornwall town line. It then enters Mohawk State Forest, briefly crosses into Goshen Connecticut for a very short distance, goes over Mohawk Mountain and Tower before ending at the Mohawk Trail near the Mohawk Mountain Ski Area.

The Milton Center Historic District encompasses the historic 19th-century village center of Milton in the northwestern part of the town of Litchfield, Connecticut. Basically linear, it stretches from Milton Cemetery in the west to the junction of Milton and Shearshop Roads in the east, including houses, churches, schools, and the remains of industrial sites. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Stillwater Pond State Park is a public recreation area covering 226 acres (91 ha) in the town of Torrington, Connecticut. The state park surrounds Stillwater Pond, a 100-acre (40 ha) impoundment on the West Branch Naugatuck River. Fishing, boating, and a paved boat ramp are offered.
