Grand Junction Isle

The Molesey Reservoirs were a group of reservoirs in England near Molesey, Surrey, in the western suburbs of London. There was an adjacent water treatment works. The reservoirs were adjacent to the River Thames on the south side on the reach above Molesey Lock. They are between the river and the A3050 (Hurst Road). On the other side of this road are the neighbouring Bessborough Reservoir and Knight Reservoir, and beyond these the Queen Elizabeth II Reservoir. The reservoirs were established in 1872 (1872), by the Lambeth Waterworks Company and three years later by the Chelsea Waterworks Company. Both companies had previously built their reservoirs nearby at Seething Wells in Surbiton, but they sucked up too much mud with the water because of turbulence caused by the River Mole, River Ember and The Rythe. They had pumping stations at Molesey to lift the water from the Thames into the reservoirs and there were concrete wharves on the river bank at which to unload coal to power the steam engines. Only the wharves remain by the riverside, being used for overnight mooring of pleasure cruisers.The reservoirs were taken out of use in 1999 (1999). The land was then used for the extraction of aggregates, and after the work is complete, it will be converted into a wetland reserve.

The Stain Hill Reservoirs in London, England with embankments occupy 0.175 square kilometres (43 acres). They are a pair which sit high between others; Kempton Nature Reserve; riverside houses in Sunbury-on-Thames; and a low area of flood meadow to the west alongside the closing stretch of the Port Lane (or Felthamhill) Brook. Other nearby settlements are Molesey, Hampton and Hanworth.

Kenton Court Meadow is a cricket ground in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey (formerly Middlesex). First established in 1957, the first recorded match on the ground was in 1967, when Sunbury played South Hampstead. In 1972, the ground held its first List-A match when Surrey played Gloucestershire in the 1972 John Player League. The following season Surrey played Warwickshire in the same competition, and in 1974 the ground held its final List-A match when Surrey played Leicestershire in the 1974 version of the competition.Between 1974 and 1977, the Surrey Second XI played 4 Second XI Championship matches at the ground.In local domestic cricket, the venue is the home ground of Sunbury Cricket Club whose top men's side play in the Surrey Premier League being 50 yards north of old Surrey on which the league is approximately based. The cricket pavilion at the ground was opened in 1959 by Sir Leonard Hutton.

Sunnyside Reservoir is a reservoir forming part of the Hampton waterworks complex within the London borough of Richmond-upon-Thames.

Sunbury court is a historic building located in Sunbury-on-Thames. Since the 1920s the court has been owned by The Salvation Army and has been the meeting place of the High Council of The Salvation Army

The Bessborough Reservoir is an embanked storage reservoir south of the River Thames in Surrey adjacent to the Knight Reservoir. To the south lies Queen Elizabeth II Reservoir and to the north the now disused Molesey Reservoirs. The A3050 runs to the north of the reservoir and the neighbouring town is Molesey to the east. It forms part the green buffer between Molesey and Walton on Thames. The reservoir is in the borough of Elmbridge.

Knight and Bessborough Reservoirs is a 63.4-hectare (157-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Walton-on-Thames in Surrey. It is part of South West London Waterbodies Ramsar site and Special Protection AreaKnight Reservoir and Bessborough Reservoir support many wildfowl, including nationally important numbers of wintering shovelers and substantial populations of gadwalls, cormorants and goldeneyes.The site is private land with no public access.

The Knight Reservoir is a large pumped storage reservoir located in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey. It was inaugurated in 1907 and stores up to 2,180 million litres of raw water abstracted from the River Thames prior to its treatment and supply to London and north Surrey. It is located south of the River Thames, west of West Molesey, and between Hurst Road (A3050) and Walton Road (B369). It is adjacent to, and west of, its twin Bessborough Reservoir.

Rivermead Island is a flat grassy island in the River Thames on the reach above Molesey Lock at Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England which is owned mostly by Spelthorne and as to a small part by Elmbridge Borough Council.

Kempton Park Racecourse is a horse racing track together with a licensed entertainment and conference venue in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England, near the border with Greater London; it is 16 miles south-west of Charing Cross in central London. The site has 210 acres (85 hectares) of flat grassland surrounded by woodland with two lakes in its centre. Its entrance borders Kempton Park railway station which was created for racegoers on a branch line from London Waterloo, via Clapham Junction. It has adjoining inner and outer courses for flat and National Hunt racing. Among its races, the King George VI Chase takes place on Boxing Day, a Grade 1 National Hunt chase which is open to horses aged four years or older.
