Vysočany

Prague 9 is both a municipal and an administrative district in Prague, Czech Republic. Prague 9 administrative districts takes care mainly of districts of Vysočany, Prosek, Hrdlořezy, and partly of Hloubětín, Libeň, Střížkov a Malešice. O2_Arena_(Prague) is located in Prague 9 on the edge of Libeň and Vysočany districts.

The English College in Prague – Anglické gymnázium, obecně prospěšná společnost is a co-educational, selective Czech-British grammar school, providing an academic education in the English language for students aged 13–19 years. The ECP is a 6-year grammar school, with Czech students arriving from the 7th grade of Czech schools. It is a member of the Headmasters' & Headmistresses' Conference. The college has around 370 students, of whom around 70% are Czech, and 30% from foreign countries, such as those in Eastern Asia, Russia and Eastern Europe.

Vysočanská (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvɪsotʃanskaː]) is a Prague Metro station on Line B, situated in Vysočany, next to Praha-Vysočany railway station. The station was opened on 8 November 1998 as part of the extension of Line B from Českomoravská to Černý Most.

Praha-Vysočany railway station is a mainline railway station located in Vysočany, Prague 9. Located at the northeastern end of Nové Spojení, it is a junction between track 070, to Turnov, and track 231 to Kolín via Nymburk. Historically, trains from Nymburk terminated at the now demolished Praha-Těšnov railway station. It is located within walking distance of Vysočanská station on the Prague Metro.

Rezidence Eliška is highrise residential building in Prague-Vysočany. It is 93.6 metres (307 ft) tall. Construction started in 2011 and ended in 2013. It has 25 floors above ground and 2 under ground. There are 350 flats inside the building. It was designed by Czech architect Ivan Sládek, the cost was 500 million CZK.

Prosek (German: Prossek) is a district and cadastral area in the north of Prague, Czech Republic. It is part of the Prague 9 administrative district and is bordered by Střížkov to the west, Letňany to the north, Vysočany to the south, Libeň to the southwest, and Prague–Kbely Airport to the east. Prosek has a population of 17,463 (2011).The area is home to a large panel housing estate, which was completed in 1971. In 2008, a Prague Metro station was opened in the district with a new office complex, Prosek Point, built next to it.

Prosek is a Prague Metro station of Line C. The station was opened on 8 May 2008 as part of the extension of Line C from Ládví to Letňany.

O2 Arena (formerly Sazka Arena, stylised as O2 arena) is a multi-purpose arena, in Prague, Czech Republic. It is home to HC Sparta Prague of the Czech Extraliga and is the second-largest ice hockey arena in Europe. It has hosted important sporting events such as the two Ice Hockey World Championships (2004 and 2015), first edition of prestigious tennis Laver Cup, the European Athletics Indoor Championships, the Euroleague Final Four 2006, the World Floorball Championship, the Davis Cup finals, as well as a handful of NHL and KHL games, including a 2014 Gagarin Cup final. It can also host stage shows, such as concerts, and other large-scale events.

Českomoravská (Czech pronunciation: [ˈtʃɛskomorafskaː]) is a Prague Metro station on Line B. It was opened on 22 November 1990 as the eastern terminus of the extension from Florenc. It is under Drahobejlova street in Vysočany. Českomoravská remained a terminal station until the extension of Line B to Černý Most on 8 November 1998.The station was built using the TBM method and has a platform 26 m (85 ft) below ground level. There is one exit through an escalator tunnel. An adjacent bus station serves as terminal for some urban and suburban lines in the northeast of Prague. The multifunctional O2 arena, formerly Sazka Arena, built in 2004, is next to the Českomoravská station. Zápotockého was the originally intended name for this station (after Czech communist politician Antonín Zápotocký), but this idea was abandoned after the Velvet Revolution in 1989. The current name Českomoravská (literally: Bohemo-Moravian) derives from the large Českomoravská Kolben-Daněk engineering company, once based nearby.

Praha-Libeň railway station (Czech: Nádraží Praha-Libeň) is a mainline railway station located in the Libeň district of Prague 9. It is situated on Line 11, which links Prague to Český Brod and Kolín as well as forming part of the main railway corridor connecting the Czech capital to Brno and Olomouc. Since reconstruction of the station, which took place between 2008 and 2010 as part of the Nové Spojení project, a number of international services running to and from the more central Praha hlavní nádraží now also call here. In addition to its passenger handling facilities (the station was used by 876,000 passengers in 2006) the Praha-Libeň station area is also home to a large freight yard and is an important centre for services operated by ČD Cargo. The line from Olomouc to Prague, as first opened in 1845, passed through what was then the village of Libeň, but it was not until 1877 that a station was built – between the stations then named Praha statní nádraží (today's Masarykovo nádraží) and Běchovice – to serve the locality. In 1923 Libeň station was renamed Libeň horní nádraží (Libeň high-level station) to distinguish it from the low-level station (dolní nádraží) which led to the now demolished terminus at Těšnov. In 1926 a cut-and-cover line was built under Vítkov hill linking Libeň station to Praha hlavní nádraží. In the late 1970s the station was modernised and shortly afterwards a new link was built to Praha-Holešovice railway station, intended to serve the international services which the two central stations no longer had the capacity to handle.The station is situated within walking distance of the O2 Arena, and thus played a key role in the infrastructure provided for the 2004 IIHF World Championship. Libeň station is not connected to the Prague Metro, but is served by buses and trams operating as part of the city's public transport system.

Galerie Harfa is a shopping mall located in the Libeň district of Prague, Czech Republic. It has around 160 shops and an area of 49,000 square metres (527,000 sq ft). The centre has a distinctive dinosaur-themed amusement park on the roof, which opened a year after the shopping centre itself.

The Czech Ice Hockey Hall of Fame was founded in 2008 and is located in Prague, Czech Republic. The Hall honors individuals that have contributed to the sport of hockey in the Czech Republic. It houses displays and a collection of memorabilia depicting the significant contributions of players, coaches, referees and other important figures in the sport.
