Mitchell is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Madison County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,217. It is part of the Metro East region of greater St. Louis.

FC Adrenaline is an American professional indoor soccer team, founded in 2007. The team played in the Premier Arena Soccer League from 2007–2010 as "Piasa FC". The club moved to the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) in 2010 as "Illinois Piasa" under head coach Jerry Lakin.They originally played their home matches at the Soccer for Fun Arena in Granite City, Illinois. From 2011 through 2013, Piasa played their home games at The Sports Academy in Glen Carbon, Illinois. In July 2013, the Piasa announced that they would play the 2013–14 PASL season at The Field Sports Complex in Pontoon Beach, Illinois.On July 22, 2013, the team announced that head coach Jason Norsic had resigned to pursue personal and family commitments. Doug Montroy was named as his replacement. On January 11, 2014, the team "parted ways" with Montroy and assistant coach Ed Rulo was named interim head coach for the remainder of the 2013–14 season.In April 2014, The Field Sports Complex acquired all properties related to Illinois Piasa. The club will be an affiliate of St. Louis FC. TFSC announced the rebranding of the club as FC Adrenaline in August 2014. The club will compete in the Premier Arena Soccer League during the 2014–15 season.

KMOX (1120 AM) is a commercial radio station in St. Louis, Missouri. Owned by Audacy, Inc., it is a 50,000 watt Class A clear-channel station with a non-directional signal. The KMOX studios and offices are on Olive Street at Tucker Boulevard in the Park Pacific Building in St. Louis. KMOX refers to itself as "NewsRadio 1120 - The Voice of St. Louis". It is considered the first U.S. station to program all talk shows around the clock. KMOX's transmitter is located off Route 162 in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. With a good radio, KMOX's nighttime signal can be heard across most of the United States and into Mexico and Canada. However, it is strongest in the Central United States. Its daytime signal provides at least secondary coverage to most of Eastern Missouri and much of Southern Illinois. The station is also heard on KEZK's HD2 subchannel and translator 98.7 K254CR. Along with WIL-FM, KMOX is responsible for the activation of the Greater St. Louis Emergency Alert System for hazardous weather, disaster declarations, etc., and is the EAS primary entry point for eastern Missouri and southern Illinois.

Ralph Korte Stadium, also known as "The Ralph", is a 4,000 seat stadium located on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois. It is home to the SIUE Cougars men's and women's soccer and outdoor track & field teams. In addition to the stands on the west side of the field, a berm was put in on the east side in 2011 to provide lawn seating for the tailgating fans known as "The East Siders."

Roy E. Lee Field at Simmons Baseball Complex is a baseball venue in Edwardsville, Illinois, United States. It is home to the SIU Edwardsville Cougars baseball team of the NCAA Division I Ohio Valley Conference. The facility, which has a capacity of 1,500 spectators, is named for SIUE's first baseball coach, Roy E. Lee. The distance to the fences is 330 feet to right and left fields and 390 to center.In the offseason following the 2010 season, the locker rooms and dugouts were renovated. Additionally, the field features an AstroTurf GameDay Grass playing field, an electronic scoreboard, and a stand of pine trees in center field that acts as a batter's eye. The seating structure lies behind home plate and includes a covered grandstand of bleacher-style seating along with three rows of chairback seating closest to the field.In the summer of 2014, additional improvements were made with funding approved by the SIU Board of Trustees in February. The outfield grass was replaced with the same AstroTurf GameDay Grass as has been on the infield since 2011 to allow year-round practice and play. The outfield wall was also replaced, creating a symmetrical field.

Hartford Castle is the ruins of a 19th-century residence located near Hartford, Illinois. It is located at 38°48′2″N 90°5′4″W (38.800600, -90.084600) approximately 15 miles (24 km) north of downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The official name of the home was Lakeview. It was constructed by a French immigrant named Benjamin Biszant for his English bride in 1897.
