Tillman Road Wildlife Management Area

Automobile Club of Buffalo is a historic clubhouse located at Clarence in Erie County, New York. It was designed by the architectural firm of Esenwein & Johnson and built in 1910–1911 in the Craftsman style. It is a two-story, Y-shaped, wood-frame building with a low hipped roof and broad eaves. The building measures 184 feet long and 32 feet wide. It features a deep porte cochere, semicircular two-story tower, broad verandah, enclosed one-story porch, and two exposed chimneys. Also on the property is a contributing storage shed. The property was sold to the Town of Clarence in 1957, and is used as a town park. The Automobile Club of Buffalo joined the American Automobile Association in 1903, one of its earliest affiliates. The clubhouse was built to promote membership in the Automobile Club of Buffalo, and was one of only six country clubs built by similar organizations in the United States.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Clarence is a town and affluent suburb located in the northeastern part of Erie County, New York, United States, northeast of Buffalo. The population was 32,950 according to the 2020 census estimate. Warren Hull House is a historic home located at Lancaster in Erie County, New York. It was built about 1810 by Warren Hull, one of Erie County's earliest pioneers. It is in the Federal style and includes the family burial plot in the rear of the property. It is the oldest stone house in western New York and is currently owned by the Hull Family home association. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.The Hull House has scheduled Open House days during the spring, summer, and fall. It is located three nautical miles (6 km) northeast of the central business district of Lancaster, a village in the Town of Lancaster, east of Buffalo. Although many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned BQR by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.The runway at Buffalo-Lancaster Airport was planned to be extended from 3,199 to 5,500 ft (975 to 1,676 m), to be completed in 2010, which would have allowed it to accommodate larger airplanes and private jets. The airport is also an emergency landing site for Buffalo Niagara International Airport (handling smaller aircraft).

Clarence Center, within the south-central part of the town, is the location of most of the town government facilities, although the actual town hall is within the Clarence postal zone. Clarence Center is also one of the postal zones in the town with a ZIP code of 14032. This area comprises most of the northern part of the town.

J. Eshelman and Company Store, also known as The Square Deal Store, is a historic general store located at Clarence Center in Erie County, New York. It is a three-story, brick and cast iron commercial building constructed in the Italianate style in 1872. It exemplifies the type of brick and cast iron commercial building common to the region from the 1850s to the 1880s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Colgan Air Flight 3407 (marketed as Continental Connection Flight 3407) was a scheduled passenger flight from Newark, New Jersey, USA to Buffalo, New York, USA on February 12, 2009. Colgan Air staffed and maintained the aircraft used on the flight that was scheduled, marketed and sold by Continental Airlines under its Continental Connection brand. The aircraft, a Bombardier Q400, entered an aerodynamic stall from which it did not recover and crashed into a house at 6038 Long Street in Clarence Center, New York at 10:17 pm EST (03:17 UTC), killing all 49 passengers and crew on board, as well as one person inside the house.The National Transportation Safety Board conducted the accident investigation and published a final report on February 2, 2010 that identified the probable cause as the pilots' inappropriate response to stall warnings.The pilots were Captain Marvin Renslow, 47, of Lutz, Florida was the pilot in command, and Rebecca Lynne Shaw, 24, of Maple Valley, Washington served as the first officer Families of the accident victims lobbied the U.S. Congress to enact more stringent regulations for regional carriers and to improve the scrutiny of safe operating procedures and the working conditions of pilots. The Airline Safety and Federal Aviation Administrative Extension Act of 2010 (Public Law 111–216) required some of these regulation changes.At that time of the crash, it was the deadliest aviation disaster involving the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 until the crash of US-Bangla Airlines Flight 211 in 2018.
