Tatterford is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Tattersett, in the North Norfolk district, in the county of Norfolk, England. The village is 4.8 miles south west of the town of Fakenham, 30.3 miles north west of Norwich and 112 miles north north east of London. The nearest railway station is at Sheringham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. In 1931 the parish had a population of 66.

On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished to form Dunton. The villages name means 'Bright/clear ford'. Shereford St. Nicholas is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk.

The hamlet is 2.3 miles south west of Fakenham, 27.3 miles north west of Norwich and 113 miles north north east of London. The nearest railway station is at Sheringham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The village is situated on the north west side of the A1065 Fakenham to Swaffham road. In 1931 the parish had a population of 72.

Sculthorpe Training Area, previously Royal Air Force Sculthorpe / (RAF Sculthorpe), is a military training site administered by the Defence Training Estate, part of the Ministry of Defence (MoD). It is approximately 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) west of Fakenham in the county of Norfolk in England. The training area occupies the larger part of the former RAF Sculthorpe, a military airbase used by RAF bombers in the later stages of the Second World War (1942–45), by United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) units from 1952 to 1962, and thereafter temporary visiting airmen and support crews of both the Royal Air Force (RAF) and United States Air Force (USAF) until its closure as an active airfield on 2 October 1992 (1992-10-02). In 1997, the Ministry of Defence sold the technical, domestic and administrative site, but retained the airfield itself, including the runways, taxiways, dispersal areas and the adjacent dispersed secure weapon storage area.

Sculthorpe is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is some 4 km (2.5 mi) north-west of Fakenham and 5 km (3.1 mi) south-east of South Creake. The village's name means 'Skuli's outlying farm/settlement'. The civil parish has an area of 8.52 km2 (3.29 sq mi) and in 2001 had a population of 744 in 312 households, the population increasing to 751 at the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk. The former water mill, about a mile south of the parish church, is now a pub and restaurant, but some of the workings remain visible. The large airfield of RAF Sculthorpe lies immediately to the west of the village. Sculthorpe Moor Community Nature Reserve lies to the south of the village in Turf Moor Road The Village also has a second pub called The Sculthorpe Aviator.

Coxford Priory or Broomsthorpe Priory was a monastic house in Norfolk, England. An Augustinian Canons Regular establishment, initially founded around 1140 at the church of St Mary, East Rudham by William Cheney, the community was transferred to a new site at Coxford c.1216. The building there was constructed of flint with stone dressings and is now a grade II* listed ruin. The priory was dissolved in 1536.

Beacon Hill, Colkirk, Norfolk is a high point, once the site of a beacon forming part of a chain from the North Norfolk Coast to London. The approximate location of the beacon is two kilometres to the west of the village of Colkirk, N52:48:15 E0:49:29.

For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of North Norfolk. The village is on the north side of the A148 King's Lynn to Cromer road. The River Tat, a tributary of the River Wensum, rises close to the village.

Hempton Priory was a medieval monastery at Hempton in Norfolk, England, variously referred to also as Fakenham or Damsend Priory. Of the buildings of the medieval institution very few surface remains can be seen, although substantial earthworks are evident and the foundations of a long building have been noted as incorporated into a later building.

West Barsham is 3.2 miles (5.1 km) north of the town of Fakenham, 24.1 miles (38.8 km) west of Cromer, and 117 miles (188 km) north of London.
