Irvington is a town on the Rappahannock River in Lancaster County, Virginia, United States. The population was 432 at the 2010 census. Located on a peninsula known as the Northern Neck, it has been designated a historic district.

Pop Castle is a historic plantation house located near White Stone, Lancaster County, Virginia. It was built in 1855, and is a two-story, five-bay, gable roofed frame dwelling with Greek Revival style details. It has a single pile, central passage plan and two exterior end chimneys. It rests partly on the foundations of an 18th-century dwelling. Also on the property are the contributing antebellum granary and a roughly contemporary smokehouse. The property also includes the archaeological remains of most related service structures.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

West Irvington is an unincorporated community in Lancaster County in the U. S. state of Virginia.

Christ Church is a historic Episcopal church in Lancaster County, Virginia, north of Irvington. Built in 1732-35, it is notable for its unique Georgian design, and is one of the best-preserved colonial churches in the southern United States. The church is the only colonial Virginia church that still has its original high-backed pews and one of two that has maintained its original three-tiered pulpit.

Palmer is an unincorporated community in Lancaster County in the U. S. state of Virginia. Palmer is near, but not in, the flood zone. Further down from Palmer are the flooded portions of Windmill Point. It was once owned by a few families and was inhabited by lifelong residents. Many houses were later bought by people new to the community. Weekend visitors come from Northern Virginia, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Maryland. Palmer has beaches, and there is an island in front of the community in Mosquito Creek.

The Tides Inn is a waterfront resort just off the Rappahannock River in Irvington, Virginia, United States, and located within the Irvington National Register District. Opened in 1947 by entrepreneur E.A. Stephens, it is now owned and operated by Enchantment Group. The East Coast resort on Virginia's Northern Neck, was known for its regional cooking and amenities such as golf and boating; the Tides Inn slogan "Quiet Quality" appeared in advertisements in The New Yorker.

USS Aquamarine (PYc-7) was the former yacht Siele launched in April 1926 by Pusey and Jones Corporation, Wilmington, Delaware. In 1940 Siele was sold and renamed Sea Wolf which was purchased by the Navy in January 1941 and commissioned Aquamarine in April. Though given a "patrol yacht, coastal" designation the yacht was assigned to the Naval Research Laboratory for acoustical research during World War II. After naval service the yacht was again under the name Sea Wolf until sold in 1954 and renamed Miss Ann, listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
