Gmina Pęcław is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Głogów County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the village of Pęcław, which lies approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) east of Głogów and 80 km (50 mi) north-west of the regional capital Wrocław. The gmina covers an area of 64.13 square kilometres (24.76 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population was 2,272.

Barycz (river)

The Barycz (Polish pronunciation: [ˈbarɨtʂ]; German: Bartsch) is a river in Greater Poland and Lower Silesian Voivodeships in western Poland. It is a right tributary of the Odra River. The river course roughly marked the northern border of the historic region of Lower Silesia with Greater Poland. The 136 km long Barycz has a basin area of 5,547 km2. The surrounding terrain of the Barycz Valley Landscape Park is an important wetland reserve. Settlements on the Barycz include Odolanów, Milicz, Sułów, Żmigród, and Wąsosz.
