The Bert Leedy Round Barn, also known as Paxton Round Barn and as Fulton County Historical Society Round Barn, is a round barn located in Richland Township near Rochester, Indiana, United States. Built in 1924, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. The listing was consistent with terms of a National Park Service "Multiple Property Documentation" study on "Round and Polygonal Barns of Indiana" that was prepared in 1991. The Round Barn was moved to its current site, an open-air museum, in 1989 after it was struck by a tornado.The Fulton County Historical Society Museum, a modern building, is located approximately seventy five feet northwest of the barn. Parking for the museum is located northeast of the barn. A large earthen ramp on the north side of the barn leads to the main level entrance.

Pershing is an unincorporated community in northern Rochester Township, Fulton County, Indiana, United States. It lies along County Road 400W, northwest of the city of Rochester, the county seat of Fulton County.

The Rochester Downtown Historic District is a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in Rochester, Indiana, United States. It was placed on the Register on June 24, 2008. The majority of buildings in the area are masonry and Italianate while structures outside the district are largely residential frame built structures. Rochester was founded as a trading post in 1831 between the European settlers and local Native Americans, along the old Michigan Road where it intersected Mill Creek. Most of the contributing buildings lie along the old Michigan Road, now Main Street, in a right-of-way pattern (the newer, non-contributing buildings do not follow this pattern).Alexander Chamberlain built the first tavern-hotel in Rochester in 1835, the same year, he and Lot Bozarth filed a plat for the town of Rochester. In 1836, Cyrus Taber with William and George Ewing expanded the original plat south one block to include what is now the courthouse square. The first courthouse was built of wood in 1837 along with a jail. Rochester's location on the Michigan Road contributed to continued growth. By 1840, there were several three story buildings and 300 residents.The current courthouse was built in 1895-1896 and the old jail replaced in 1851. The Indianapolis, Peru and Chicago Railroad arrived in 1869, and brick became the norm for commercial construction.Prominent buildings in the district include the Fulton County Courthouse (which is a Richardsonian Romanesque building also NRHP-listed), a water tower, Rochester City Hall & Fire Department, post office, and telephone company.The limestone courthouse, which was already on the National Register as of September 22, 2000, is located on Ninth Street. Four different memorials are on its grounds: one for the Pottawatomies' Trail of Death, a cornerstone for the Rochester College, and two war memorials. Although most of the buildings in the district are constructed of brick, after the construction of the courthouse, with its rusticated limestone construction, it is believed that other buildings were renovated to match the courthouse using faux stone that was cemented to their brick structures; the Masonic Temple is reflective of this. Limestone is also used on the name blocks of buildings. The historic fire department has an engraved limestone name block above its door. The city hall not only has a similar limestone name block, but the right and left bays of the hall have limestone diamonds above them.

John W. Smith House, also known as the Roberta Nicholson House, is a historic home located at Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. It was built in 1892, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Neo-Jacobean style frame dwelling on a limestone block foundation. It features a projecting round tower, wraparound porch, and 75 windows of various sizes.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Lyman M. Brackett House is a historic home located at Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. It was built in 1884–1886, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, irregular plan, Queen Anne style frame dwelling topped by a slate gable roof. It features multiple gables, an octagonal tower, and wraparound brick porch. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The John Haimbaugh Round Barn in Newcastle Township near Rochester, Indiana, United States, is a round barn that was built in 1914. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.There was another 2-pitch gambrel barn in Rochester Township, built in 1915, that was still extant at the time of a 1991 survey of round barns in the state. Also in the township there had been a 3-pitch gambrel barn built in 1916, but the latter has been lost.: 40  Brothers Vernon, Oral, and Hap Kindig built the barn in 1914 for Mr. Haimbaugh. It stands on the west side of Indiana 25. The barn is surrounded by mature trees with cultivated fields on the north and west.

The Fulton County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. It was built in 1895–1896, and is a four-story, Richardsonian Romanesque style limestone building. It has a cross-hall plan and features a central bell and clock tower with a pyramidal roof. In addition to the courthouse, the grounds have four memorials: one for the Pottawatomies' Trail of Death, a cornerstone for the Rochester College, and two war memorials.The current courthouse is the third Fulton County courthouse, preceded by an 1837 log cabin and an 1846 structure. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. It is a prominent building in the Rochester Downtown Historic District.

Rochester Community High School was formed when the high schools of Rochester and Richland Center combined in 1965. Students in grades 9-12 of the town of Rochester and several of the rural townships of Fulton County attend. The first class of Rochester High School was in 1880, and there have been several different buildings housing the school. The current Rochester Community High School building was designed by Everett Brown Company and opened in the fall of 1965 to the south of the Rochester City Park. Barnhart Field, home of Zebra football, was constructed in the 1970s at the east end of the school campus, and additional wrestling space and a second gymnasium were added later. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams. The AP participation rate at Rochester Community High School is 24%. Rochester Community High School is the only high school in the Rochester Community School Corporation.

The district encompasses 21 contributing buildings in the central business district of Argos. It developed between about 1867 and 1942, and includes examples of Italianate, Romanesque Revival, and Neoclassical style architecture. Notable buildings include the Reed Block (1891), Williams Inn (1838), IOOF #263 Hall (1901-1907), Corner Hardware Building (1883), Argos Reflector Building / GAR Hall (c. 1898), Argos Theater (1898-1907, c. 1930), Sarber Building (1892-1898), Old Argos Opera House / Huff Block (1887-1892), Pickerl Block (1887, 1892-1898), Argos Municipal Building (1940), Farmers State Bank Block (1917), Argos Masonic Lodge #399 / Grossman Building (1906), Schoonover Building (1867, 1883), and Pickerl Residence (c. 1870, c. 1920).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.The town of Argos lies in Walnut Township, Marshall County, Indiana, along the Michigan Road where it intersects with State Road 10, formerly known as the Wabash Road and now known within the town limits as Walnut Street. The district comprises three blocks lining Michigan Street. Historically, these blocks were primarily commercial in nature with development radiating from the intersection of Michigan and Walnut Streets (primarily eastward on Walnut to the railroad and the plat of Fremont). The Michigan Road was main road between Indianapolis and Lake Michigan. The district's remains the commercial center of the surrounding community. Examples of 19th and early 20th century architecture characterize district. The district is an example the small midwestern downtowns from 1867 through 1942.
