Santa Claus is a town in Spencer County, Indiana, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. Home to numerous Christmas themed attractions including: Santa's Candy Castle, Santa Claus Museum, Holiday World & Splashin' Safari (originally called Santa Claus Land), Frosty's Fun Center, Christmas Lake Golf Course, and Santa's Stables, Santa Claus is located in Carter, Clay and Harrison Townships, it sits between Interstate 64 and the Ohio River and Owensboro. The population was 2,481 at the 2010 census, making it the largest community in Spencer County. The 2020 census counted 2,586 residents. It is also home to Santa's Lodge and Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort.The town was established in 1854 and known as Santa Fe (). In 1856, when the town was working to establish a post office, the Post Office Department refused their first application as there was already a Santa Fe, Indiana established with the Post Office Department. Several town meetings were held, during which the name Santa Claus was selected. The town has the world's only post office to bear the name of the eponymous Christmas figure. Because of this popular name, the post office receives thousands of letters to Santa from all over the world each year. A group of volunteers known as Santa's Elves ensures each child receives a reply from Santa Claus; this tradition has been in existence since at least 1914. Every year, the post office also creates a special Christmas hand-cancellation pictorial postmark for use during December, which also attracts mail from all over the world. The pictorial postmark is chosen each year from submissions from art students at nearby Heritage Hills and South Spencer High Schools. Santa Claus has grown substantially since the 1990 census, which recorded 927 residents. A majority of Santa Claus residents live within the gated community of Christmas Lake Village, which was developed in the late 1960s by Bill Koch. It consists of 2,500 acres (10 km2) developed around three lakes: Christmas Lake, Lake Holly, and Lake Noel. The street names in Christmas Lake Village are all named after the Christmas season. Many residents also live in Holiday Village, a subdivision on the north side of town.

Lincoln State Park is a state park of Indiana, United States. It is located in southern Indiana in Spencer County approximately 35 miles (56 km) east of Evansville. The park was established in 1932 and encompasses 1,747 acres (707 ha). There are 10 miles (16 km) of trails in the park. Many of the recreational facilities found within the park were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. In addition to the Sarah Lincoln Woods Nature Preserve, there are two lakes, campgrounds, group cottages, and cabins.The park provides access to many sites important to Abraham Lincoln during his childhood, including the Little Pigeon Creek Baptist Church and Cemetery, where his sister Sarah Lincoln Grigsby is buried; and the home of Colonel Jones a Civil War officer and merchant who employed Lincoln. Memorials were established to recognize Lincoln's mother Nancy Hanks Lincoln, whose gravesite is now contained within the adjacent Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. There is also an interpretive center. The park receives about 235,000 visitors annually.The park is 1 of 14 Indiana State Parks that are in the path of totality for the 2024 solar eclipse, with 2 minutes and 5 seconds of totality.

Deutsch Evangelische St. Paul's Kirche is a historic Evangelical Protestant church located at Santa Claus, Spencer County, Indiana. It was built in 1880, and is a one-story, wood-frame building sheathed in clapboard siding. It sits on a sandstone block foundation and has a gable roof. It features a square bell tower with steeple measuring 70 feet tall.: 2  The building was moved to Santa Claus Park in 2012.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and delisted in 2012.

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, formerly named Santa Claus Land, is a theme park and water park located in Santa Claus, Indiana, United States. The theme park opened in 1946 and features rides, live entertainment, and games that are divided into four sections that celebrate Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the Fourth of July. Holiday World features three wooden roller coasters, most notably The Voyage, which has consistently ranked in Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Awards as one of the best in the world. Holiday World also features 2 steel coasters. The water park, Splashin' Safari, opened in 1993 and features two of the longest water coasters in the world, Wildebeest and Guinness World Record Holder Mammoth. The water park also contains a launched water coaster, raft rides, water slides, and other family-friendly water attractions.

The Raven is a wooden roller coaster at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari's Halloween section in Santa Claus, Indiana, United States. It began to be designed and built in 1994 by the now-defunct roller coaster manufacturer Custom Coasters International, with the help of designers Dennis McNulty and Larry Bill. The roller coaster opened on May 6, 1995. The Raven takes its name from Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven" and features sudden drops and turns which mimic the flight of a raven. From 2000 to 2003, The Raven was voted the world's "Best Wooden Roller Coaster" at the Golden Ticket Awards, which are presented annually by Amusement Today magazine. It was named an "ACE Roller Coaster Landmark" by American Coaster Enthusiasts on June 23, 2016.
