Lincoln is the central settlement and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Lincoln, Addison County, Vermont, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Bristol Cliffs Wilderness is one of eight wilderness areas in the Green Mountain National Forest in the U.S. state of Vermont. The area, near Lincoln, Vermont, is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. With a total of 3,750 acres (1,520 ha), the wilderness is the smallest in Vermont. It was created by the Eastern Wilderness Areas Act of 1975, which makes it one of the oldest wilderness areas in the state. The Eastern Wilderness Areas Act set aside 6,500 acres (2,600 ha) for Bristol Cliffs Wilderness, including 2,725 acres (1,103 ha) of private property claimed to have been improperly seized by eminent domain. On September 28–29, 1975, a subcommittee of the U.S. Senate held a public hearing in Bristol, Vermont to receive testimony on a bill intended to rectify the situation. The bill later passed Congress and was signed into law on April 16, 1976. The bill reduced the area of the Bristol Cliffs Wilderness to 3,775 acres (1,528 ha), in effect returning the disputed land to the local landowners. This marked the first (and only) time in U.S. history that a wilderness area was subsequently reduced in size.

South Lincoln is a census-designated place (CDP) within the town of Lincoln, Addison County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, South Lincoln had a population of 251. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. It is in eastern Addison County, in the south part of the town of Lincoln, in the valley of the New Haven River, a north-flowing tributary of Otter Creek and part of the Lake Champlain watershed. It is bordered to the south and east by the Green Mountain National Forest. South Lincoln Road leads north (downriver) 3 miles (5 km) to Lincoln, and Ripton Road leads southwest 9 miles (14 km) to Ripton.

The South Starksboro Friends Meeting House and Cemetery is a historic Quaker meeting house and cemetery on Dan Sargent Road in Starksboro, Vermont. Built in 1828 and last significantly updated in the 1870s, it is the oldest Quaker meeting house in Vermont, and continues to see regular use. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Bristol Downtown Historic District encompasses the historic late 19th-century commercial heart of Bristol, Vermont. At first a rural agricultural market town, it developed in the second half of the 19th century as a small industrial center, producing finished wood products. Its downtown occupies an area of one block on both sides of Main Street, and features a diversity of architectural styles. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Bristol is a town in Addison County, Vermont, United States. The town was chartered on June 26, 1762, by the colonial governor of New Hampshire, Benning Wentworth. The charter was granted to Samuel Averill and sixty-three associates in the name of Pocock—in honor of a distinguished English admiral of that name. The population was 3,782 at the 2020 census. Main Street is home to most of the businesses of the town. The town is also home to the Lord's Prayer Rock.

The Addison-4 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Addison-4 District includes all of the Addison County towns of Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, and Starksboro. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Addison-4 District had a population of 8,659 in that same census, 6.66% above the state average.

Mount Abraham (known as Mount Abe to locals) is a mountain in the Green Mountains in the U.S. state of Vermont. Located in the Green Mountain National Forest, its summit is in the town of Lincoln in Addison County, but its eastern slopes extend into the town of Warren in Washington County. The mountain is named after Abraham Lincoln, former president of the United States. It is one of five peaks in Vermont's Presidential Range. At 4,006 feet (1,221.0 m), Mount Abraham is the highest point in Addison County, the fifth highest peak in Vermont, and one of the hundred highest peaks in New England. Its summit supports a small amount of alpine tundra vegetation.

Lincoln Gap is a mountain pass in the Green Mountains of the U.S. state of Vermont. The highest point of the gap is located in the town of Lincoln in Addison County approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km) west of the boundary between Lincoln and the town of Warren in Washington County. At 2,424 feet (739 m), Lincoln Gap is the highest vehicle-accessible mountain pass in Vermont. Lincoln Gap Road, which traverses the gap, is not plowed in the winter. On the east side, Lincoln Gap is drained by Lincoln Brook, which drains into the Mad River, the Winooski River, and into Lake Champlain. To the west, the gap is drained by Cota Brook, which drains into the New Haven River, Otter Creek, and into Lake Champlain. In turn, Lake Champlain drains into the Richelieu River in Québec, thence into the Saint Lawrence River, and into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. The Long Trail, a 272-mile (438-km) hiking trail running the length of Vermont, crosses Lincoln Gap between Mount Grant 3.9 miles (6.3 km) to the south and Mount Abraham 2.6 miles (4.2 km) to the north. The Breadloaf Wilderness lies directly south of the gap.
