Bingham High School is a public high school located in South Jordan, Utah, United States. It is one of eight high schools in the Jordan School District. It was established in 1908, and is one of the oldest schools in the state. Teacher/pupil ratios are budgeted at 1 to 27.3, with actual class sizes varying. The school's name and mascot are derived from its proximity to the Bingham Copper Mine. The original school was built in Copperton, Utah and was demolished in 2002. Itineris Early College High School is an independent public charter school that first opened in 2004. It was located in West Jordan, Utah, USA, on the campus of Salt Lake Community College. In 2014, The school was relocated to a new building nearby the Salt Lake Community College campus. The school enables attendees to earn their associate’s degree concurrent with their high school diploma. Itineris has a wide variety of courses ranging from the sciences and mathematics to English and history. In junction with Salt Lake Community College, Itineris also has classes taught outside the campus that will help students achieve enough credits to receive their associate degree in biotechnology or general studies. Students can achieve up to two years of college credit at the same time as they are earning a high school diploma. Itineris Early College High School shares similar characteristics of other early college high schools that have been shown to improve learning and academic success for students. Currently, there are more than twenty early college high schools in the US. The Jobs for the Future Early College High School Initiative, sponsored by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in partnership with the Carnegie Corporation of New York, The Ford Foundation, and The W.K. Kellogg Foundation, has awarded more than $50 million in grant money to support approximately 100 new schools over the next five years.

The Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in South Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. South Jordan was the first city in the world to have two temples (it also has the Jordan River Temple). The temple was the fourth in the Salt Lake Valley and the 13th in the state of Utah. The Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple serves approximately 83,000 Latter-day Saints living in the western Salt Lake Valley. The building is faced with light beige granite quarried and milled in China.

The Jordan River Utah Temple (formerly the Jordan River Temple) is the 20th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Located in South Jordan, Utah, it was built with a modern single-spire design. A site dedication and groundbreaking ceremony were held on June 9, 1979. The ceremony and dedication were presided over by church president Spencer W. Kimball. Instead of the usual small ceremonial shovel-full of dirt at the groundbreaking, Kimball used a large power scoop shovel to begin the building process. The temple was open to the public for tours September 29 through October 31, 1981. Over half a million people toured the temple during its open house. On August 7, 2015, the church announced that beginning February 15, 2016, the temple would close for renovations that were anticipated to be completed during the latter part of 2017. A public open house was held from March 17 through April 28, 2018, excluding Sundays and two Saturdays associated with the church's general conference. The temple was rededicated by Henry B. Eyring on May 20, 2018.

The Garside-McMullin House, at 10481 S. 1300 West in South Jordan, Utah, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is a Queen Anne style house built in 1898. It was deemed significant for its architecture and for its association with two families, the Garsides and the McMullins.It was used for city offices of South Jordan in the 1960s. The street address given at the property now is 10500, and signage calls it the McMullin House.

The Albert and Celestine Mabey House, at 10201 S. 1300 West in South Jordan, Utah, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.It is an Italianate and Victorian house built in 1898.

The Samuel and Geneva Holt Farmstead, located at 10317 South 1300 West in South Jordan, Utah, United States, was built during 1907-09 and received later additions. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.The farmstead, including outbuildings built in 1907 and since, was deemed significant in 2001 as one of only a "handful" of surviving historic farmsteads in South Jordan, and notably had been worked by the farm's residents and remained in the same family. The house was also important as exemplifying Victorian Eclectic architecture, whose application in a rural area helped in "denoting the end of Utah's isolation from the nation in the late nineteenth century.": 9

Riverton High School (abbreviated "Riverton" or "RHS") is a public high school with a 52-acre (210,000 m2) campus located in the city of Riverton, Utah in the southwest corner of the Salt Lake Valley. It is one of eight high schools in the Jordan School District and as of 2013 served about 2,027 students from parts of Riverton and parts of nearby Bluffdale.

West Jordan High School is a public high school founded in 1981. Located southwest of Salt Lake City in West Jordan, Utah, United States, it enrolls around 1,700 students. The men's varsity basketball team won the 2001 state championship, as well as the 2009 State championship against Lone Peak High School, the two-time defending champion.West Jordan is well known for its music program. It has one of the largest choir programs of any public school in the state. with a record enrollment of over 300 students. The band and orchestra programs also consistently score well in competitions.
