Fayetteville State University (FSU) is a public historically black university in Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the University of North Carolina System and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.

Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium is a 5,520-seat college football stadium located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Stadium is home to the Broncos of Fayetteville State University. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).

E. E. Smith High School (also Ezekiel Ezra Smith High School, E.E.S., Smith High, Smith) is a high school in Fayetteville, North Carolina. A part of Cumberland County Schools, it is named for Ezekiel Ezra Smith and is home of the Golden Bulls. High school aged dependents of personnel living on the military reservation of Fort Liberty, in Cumberland County, are zoned to E. E. Smith.

John E. Patterson House, also known as Cashwell House, is a historic home located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built about 1840, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, five-bay frame coastal cottage form frame dwelling. It features a full-width, engaged front porch and Greek Revival style design elements. It was the home of a free black brick mason and real estate speculator John E. Patterson.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Orange Street School is a historic school building located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built about 1915 for African-American students, and is a two-story, approximately square brick building, three bays wide and three bays deep, with Neoclassical style detailing. It was the original home of E. E. Smith High School from 1927 to 1929 and 1931 to 1940.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Fayetteville Ice and Manufacturing Company: Plant and Engineer's House is a historic ice factory and home located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. The ice plant was built in 1908, is constructed of brick and is composed of several sections including an ice storage room, a tank or freezing section, and an engine room. The engineer's house is a one-story center-hall plan frame dwelling with a rear ell and hip roof. It features a one-story full-facade porch with Tuscan order columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Haymount District, also known as Haymount Historic District, is a national historic district located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It encompasses 60 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a primarily residential section of Fayetteville. The dwellings were built between about 1817 and 1950, and include notable examples of Queen Anne and Colonial Revival style architecture. The earliest extant residence is the Robert Strange Town House (c. 1817), home of Senator Robert Strange (1796-1854). Another notable building is the Highsmith Memorial Hospital, designed by architect Charles C. Hartmann and completed in 1926. Also located in the district is the separately listed Edgar Allan Poe House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, with a boundary increase in 2007.

Holt-Harrison House is a historic home located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built about 1897, and is a two-story, three-bay, hip roofed, Colonial Revival style frame dwelling. It has a double-pile central-hall plan, and a two-story portico that is a replacement.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Belden-Horne House is a historic home located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built in 1831, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three bay by four bay, side-hall plan Late Federal style frame dwelling. It features a two-tier porch with a hip roof and Palladian entrance. Barge's Tavern was moved to the Belden-Horne House property in 1978.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Barge's Tavern is a historic tavern building located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built about 1800, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay, frame building with a gable roof and central chimney. A gable roofed porch and rear ell were added in the late-19th century. It was moved to its present site behind the Belden-Horne House in 1978.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Taylor-Utley House is a historic home located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built about 1848, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay, gable roofed frame dwelling in a vernacular Greek Revival style. It has a two-story wing added in 1932.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The United States Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum (ASOM) is part of the U.S. Army Museum Enterprise dedicated to preserving and teaching a public history of the Special Operations and Airborne community, as well as broader United States military history. Located on Fort Bragg, but geographically separate from the main installation, it has been open to the public in nearby downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina since 2000. The facility is staffed primarily by civilians and volunteers on a day to day basis, but remains owned and administered by the Army through the U.S. Army Center of Military History, a part of Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). In October 2013 the ASOM opened the "Task Force Ranger and the Battle of Mogadishu Exhibit." The exhibit features immersive dioramas and artifacts from the battle including the wreckage of Super 6–1, the first Black Hawk helicopter shot down during the battle, and Super 6–4. The downing of Super 6-1 is widely considered to be a turning point in the battle and is chronicled in the book by Mark Bowden and movie Black Hawk Down produced by Ridley Scott. In late 2016 the museum held an exhibit dedicated to the "Monuments Men", including artifacts, artwork and other items related to their work protecting artistic treasures during World War II.
