Bozel

Courchevel (French pronunciation: [kuʁʃəvɛl]; Arpitan: Ecôrchevél) is a commune in the department of Savoie, southeastern France. This city was established on January 1, 2017 by merging the two formerly distinct communes of Saint-Bon-Tarentaise (the seat) and La Perrière. It takes its name from the eponymous nearby ski resort of Courchevel.

Saint-Bon-Tarentaise (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ bɔ̃ taʁɑ̃tɛz]; Arpitan: Sènt-Bon) is a former commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Courchevel.As well as Saint-Bon-Tarentaise itself, the commune also included the four villages (Le Praz-Courchevel 1300, Courchevel 1550, Moriond-Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1850) that together make up the ski resort of Courchevel.

Tremplin du Praz is a ski jumping hill at Le Praz in Courchevel, France. The complex consists of four hills: a large hill with construction point of K125 (HS132), a normal hill at K90 (HS96), and two training hills at K60 and K25. The complex also has a cross-country skiing stadium used for Nordic combined. Jörg Ritzerfeld holds the large hill winter record of 134.0 metres and Nicolas Mayer the normal hill record of 100.5 metres. La Praz received its first ski jumping hill in 1944. Ahead of the 1992 Winter Olympics, the large and normal hills were built along with a cross-country stadium to host ski jumping and Nordic combined events. Since 1997, the hill has hosted an annual summer FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix event. It has also been used for one FIS Ski Jumping World Cup and two FIS Nordic Combined World Cup rounds, in addition to four events of the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup. The medium hill opened in 2004 and the small hill in 2008.

Le Praz is a village located on a plateau at the foot of the forest in Courchevel, Savoie, France, at the foot of Dent du Villard and Grand Bec. It features the ski jumping hill Tremplin du Praz, built for the 1992 Winter Olympics and used annually in the summer FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix.

L’Éclipse is a downhill ski course in Courchevel, France, opened in 2022. It was designed by Bruno Tuaire and Hannes Trinkl and built for the 2023 World Championships, and will host five men's alpine events.In March 2022, it hosted the speed events of the World Cup finals for men and women. The "Roc de Fer" ski course in nearby Méribel and L’Éclipse are co-hosting the World Championships in 2023. This black course has a maximum incline of 31.4 degrees (61% gradient) and one of the steepest average inclines in the world with 16.7 degrees (30%), even more than dowhnill in Kitzbühel (27%) or Wengen (26%).The finish area is adjacent to Tremplin du Praz, the ski jumping venue of the 1992 Winter Olympics.

Courchevel (French pronunciation: [kuʁʃəvɛl]) is a French Alps ski resort located in the Tarentaise Valley. It is a part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski areas in the world. Courchevel also refers to the towns of Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz), Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 (Moriond), and Courchevel 1850, which are named for their altitudes in metres. The resort centre of Courchevel is at 1,747 metres (5,732 ft).Sports events from the 1992 Winter Olympics and the 2023 World Ski Championships took place in Courchevel. The ski resort is considered exclusive, attracting wealthy clientele including royal families. It hosts one of the largest concentration of 5-star ranking luxury hotels.

Le Chabichou is a 4-star hotel and a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant in Courchevel, Savoie, France. The hotel was opened in 1962 by Michel Rochedy. The restaurant received its first Michelin star in 1979 and its second in 1984.

Refuge du Mont Jovet is a mountain hut ('refuge') in the Savoie region of the French Alps, opened in 1890 and now maintained by the Bozel municipality. It is located a three-hour walk from La Cour, or a 45-minute drive from Bozel.It is open from June through September each year and has bedrooms for 2-4 people each plus a dormitory for 10, showers and a restaurant. During the winter, when the main refuge is closed, a simpler refuge built in 2016 is available, 80m down the slope.

Stade Émile-Allais is a World Cup ski course in Courchevel, France. It has regularly hosted women's technical events (slalom, giant slalom) since 2010, and is named after local ski racing legend Émile Allais (1912–2012).This course is part of Les Trois Vallées (The Three Valleys), connecting eight resorts into the largest ski area in the world, with over 600 kilometres (370 miles) of ski slopes.

Champagny-en-Vanoise (Arpitan: Champègni) is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is also known for the skiing and snow-boarding slopes.
