St. Benedict Preparatory School was a private, Roman Catholic pre-K through grade 8 school in Chicago, Illinois. It is a member of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. St. Benedict Preparatory School is located on the North Side of Chicago at Irving Park Road and Leavitt St.

Lane Tech College Prep High School (often shortened to Lane Tech, full name Albert Grannis Lane Technical College Preparatory High School), is a public 4-year selective enrollment magnet high school located in the Roscoe Village neighborhood on the north side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. It is a part of the Chicago Public Schools district. Lane is one of the oldest schools in the city and has an enrollment of over four thousand students, making it the largest high school in Chicago. Lane is a selective-enrollment-based school in which students must take a test and pass a certain benchmark in order to be offered admission. Lane is one of eleven selective enrollment schools in Chicago. It is a diverse school with many of its students coming from different ethnicities and economic backgrounds. In 2019, Lane Tech was rated the 3rd best public high school in Illinois and 69th in the nation.

North Center is one of the 77 community areas of Chicago, Illinois, located in the city's North Side. North Center is bordered on the north by Montrose Avenue, on the south by Diversey Parkway, on the west by the Chicago River and on the east by Ravenswood Avenue; it includes the neighborhoods of North Center, Roscoe Village, St. Ben's, and Hamlin Park. The Brown Line of the Chicago 'L' has stops within the community area at Addison, Irving Park, and Montrose. North Center was settled in the latter part of the 19th century and the early 20th century largely by Germans who worked in what is known as the industrial corridor along Ravenswood Avenue, and the large industrial plants along the Chicago River to the west.

It is bordered by the North Shore Channel on the east, the Chicago River's North Branch and Foster Avenue on the south, Cicero Avenue on the west (except for the section in the northwest corner, north of Bryn Mawr Avenue, which is part of the Sauganash neighborhood) and Devon Avenue on the north.

Riverview Park was an amusement park in Chicago, Illinois, which operated from 1904 to 1967. It was located on 74 acres (30 ha) in an area bound on the south by Belmont Avenue, on the east by Western Avenue, on the north by Lane Tech College Prep High School, and on the west by the North Branch of the Chicago River. It was located in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago's North Center community area.

The Jetstream was a roller coaster located at Riverview Park in Chicago. It was built in 1964 and demolished only three years later in 1967 when the park abruptly went under. The Jetstream, which was built to replace the park's aging Greyhound roller coaster, was not yet paid off when demolished. The ride was shorter than its predecessor, the Greyhound. The ride was not as profitable as some of its more wild cousins, such as The Bobs, and The Comet. Jetstream was designed by coaster designer John C. Allen and built by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters. The ride was rumored to have been reassembled at a park in Rockford, Illinois after the sudden closure of Riverview, but for whatever reason, the deal fell through. The trains, for a short time, were used on Thunder Road at Carowinds, but have since been destroyed.

DePaul College Prep is a Catholic high school located in Chicago, Illinois, United States. It is located on the north side of Chicago at 3300 N Campbell Ave. DePaul College Prep is sponsored by the Western Province of the Congregation of the Mission, also known as the Vincentians.

DeVry University Advantage Academy is a 2-year, dual degree high school located in Chicago, Illinois. Operated by a partnership with Chicago Public Schools and DeVry University, the program offers students an opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma and an associate degree in either Networking System Administration or Web Graphic Design. Both high school and college classes are taken at a single location. Until 2019, classes were taken at the original DeVry University Chicago Campus at 3300 N. Campbell Ave.

312 RiverRun is a Chicago public hiking area under construction along the Chicago River. The development is a further move toward Chicago's goal of having a continuous pedestrian path along the entire riverfront. It will connect three parks with one bike and pedestrian path, and will extend nearly two miles. The park project receives funding from organizations including the Federal Highway Administration, the Illinois Department of Transportation, and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning. The first phase of the project connects Richard Clark Park to California Park via the Riverview Bridge, crossing from the east bank to the west bank of the Chicago River creating an continuous path between Belmont Avenue and Irving Park Road. The Riverview Bridge opened in late November 2019. The project is expected to be completed by Fall 2020 after the Irving Park Road bridge replacement is completed. Upon completion of 312 RiverRun, there will exist a continuous trail to Montrose Avenue via Horner park.

The Bobs was a wooden roller coaster located at Riverview Park in Chicago, Illinois. It was built in 1924 and was demolished with the rest of the park in 1967. The Bobs was built by Prior and Church and designed by Fred Church. According to professional review of the blueprints the Bobs had a maximum height of 64.75 feet (19.74 m), a drop of 59.58 feet (18.16 m), and reached speeds of up to 50 miles per hour (80 km/h).A modernized version called Raging Wolf Bobs was located at the now defunct Geauga Lake in Aurora, Ohio, though it was not considered as intense as the original. A rollback accident that occurred on the ride resulted in a season-long closure. The Bobs was immortalized in American humorist Jean Shepherd's broadcast on August 26, 1967.

Constellation is a performing arts nightclub in Chicago, Illinois, "with an emphasis on forward-thinking practices particularly in the areas of jazz, improvised, experimental, and contemporary classical music." Constellation was founded in 2013 by Mike Reed, a Chicago-based drummer and composer. Reed was originally Constellation's for-profit (nominally) owner and then, from 2018 through at least 2021, its nonprofit organization president.Constellation has replaced, and expanded upon, the now-closed Velvet Lounge as a hub of avant garde jazz and improvised music in Chicago. Musicians who have played at Constellation include Fred Hersch, Bobby Broom, Ari Brown, Josh Berman, and many others.

The Chicago rat hole is a hole shaped like a rat in the sidewalk of West Roscoe Street in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, United States. After existing for decades, it became a viral phenomenon on social media (mainly Twitter) in January 2024, attracting tourists to the site. An apparent example of accidental lifecasting, the hole was described by The New York Times as "Chicago's Stonehenge", as its origins are unknown.
