Lake Dallas High School is a public high school located in the city of Corinth, Texas. It is classified as a 5A school by the UIL. It is part of the Lake Dallas Independent School District located in central Denton County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.It includes all of Lake Dallas, almost all of the town of Hickory Creek, and sections of Corinth and Shady Shores.

Falcon Field is a baseball field in Corinth, Texas, US. It was the 2007 home of the defunct Denton Outlaws of the Texas Collegiate League. The field is now home to the Falcons of Lake Dallas High School.

The Champ d'Or estate is a pseudo-French Baroque residential building located in Hickory Creek, Texas. Inspired by Vaux-le-Vicomte near Paris, France. The building situated at 1851 Turbeville Road, in Denton County, Champ d'Or—literally, "Field of Gold," from the surname of Alan and Shirley Goldfield, who built the house in 2002s 17th century architecture and design.Champ d'Or was one of the more unusual architectural works in North Texas, featured not only in countless news articles, most notably being Forbes Magazine, but also gaining notoriety through its appearance in at least one book on French architecture and interior design. Champ d'Or's dominance of the Hickory Creek landscape has made the place of a tourist attraction. The estate has been re branded as "The Olana" and is now a wedding venue under Walters Wedding Estates.

John H. Guyer High School is a public high school situated in the city of Denton, Texas, in Denton County, United States and classified as a 6A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Denton Independent School District located in central Denton County. This was the third high school built by the district and was opened in 2005. In 2013, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.The school's namesake was a former principal at Denton High School who later served as assistant to the Denton ISD Superintendent. Initially, officials of Denton ISD expected Guyer to be slow to grow, but those thoughts were soon disproved by the flood of transfers from other high schools in the area to Guyer. This unexpected influx of students made it necessary to add twelve portable classrooms to the original school. This upgrade sufficed until 2018 when a new 9th grade wing was built. Two new athletic field houses and changes to the surrounding parking lots were also made at this time. Construction was completed in 2021. Its boundary includes sections of Denton, all of the census-designated place of Lantana, and sections of Bartonville, Copper Canyon, Corinth, Double Oak, and Flower Mound.In 2023, Guyer was named one of the top schools in America by U.S. News & World Report.

Old Alton Bridge, also known as Goatman's Bridge, is a historic iron truss bridge connecting the Texas cities of Denton and Copper Canyon. Built in 1884 by the King Iron Bridge Manufacturing Company, it originally carried horses and later automobiles over Hickory Creek at a location that once was a popular ford for crossing cattle. The bridge takes its name from the abandoned community of Alton, which between 1850 and 1856 was the seat of Denton County. This bridge is the subject of several ghostlore stories featuring a vengeful ghost. The heavily traveled Old Alton Bridge remained in constant use until 2001 when vehicle traffic was moved to an adjacent concrete-and-steel bridge. Prior to the new bridge, it was necessary for motorists to signal with a car horn before crossing the single-lane span. The new bridge straightened out a sharp curve on both sides of the creek and provided additional travel lanes. With vehicle traffic removed, the bridge became an important link connecting the Elm Fork and Pilot Knoll Hiking and Equestrian Trails. Today, it is a popular location for nature enthusiasts and photographers. Old Alton Bridge was included in the National Register of Historic Places on July 8, 1988.

Rector Road Bridge is a historic truss bridge in Denton, Texas. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.It is a 5-panel, pinned Pratt through-truss bridge with I-beam approach spans. It is 112 feet (34 m) in total length, with the primary span 80 feet (24 m) in length.It was built by the Austin Brothers Company in 1907–08 to span Clear Creek near Sanger, Texas, costing $1,664. Frank and George Austin were then the Atlanta and Dallas agents of the George E. King Bridge Company, although they later started their own bridge fabrication plant.It was later moved to the John Guyer High School at 7501 Teasley Lane in Denton.

Medical City Denton, (formerly Denton Regional Medical Center) or Denton Regional, is a hospital operated by Hospital Corporation of America and is located at 3535 South Interstate 35, southeast of downtown Denton, Texas. It houses 208 beds, and employs more than 850 employees and 300 physicians. Denton Regional serves patients from Denton, Wise, Cooke and Montague Counties. Denton Regional was the first facility in Denton County to earn accreditation as a Level II Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC). Medical City Denton is a Magnet accredited facility and an Advanced Primary Stroke Center.

MedPark station is a commuter rail station in Denton, Texas serving the A-train line. It is east of Interstate 35E and serves Denton Regional Medical Center and a major retail area surrounding Golden Triangle Mall in Denton. MedPark station is currently the penultimate A-train station.
