The United States team won the competition by a margin of 161⁄2–151⁄2. The honorary chairman was former President of the United States George H. W. Bush.

The 2024 Solheim Cup is the 19th edition of the Solheim Cup matches, held 13–15 September at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, United States. The Solheim Cup is a biennial team competition between the top women professional golfers from Europe and the United States. The Solheim Cup returns to even-numbered years in 2024, the first time since 2002 after the Ryder Cup returned to an odd-year schedule after 2020, as competition was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.The previous U.S. competition in 2021 was won by Europe, 15 points to 13. Europe retained the cup in Spain in 2023 after a tie of 14 points to 14.

Lake Manassas is a 770-acre (310 ha) reservoir located in Prince William County, Virginia, to the southwest of Gainesville. It is owned and operated by the city of Manassas, Virginia, although it is located outside the city limits. The reservoir was created in the late 1960s to provide drinking water for area residents and became operational in 1970. The Lawn is a historic home and national historic district located near Nokesville, Prince William County, Virginia. The main house was built in 1926 to replace the original Gothic Revival style dwelling that burned in a fire in 1921. It is a two-story, three-bay, Tudor Revival style, stuccoed dwelling. The house features half-timber framing and a complex cross gable roof. Attached to the house is a brick kitchen wing that survived from the original house. Also included in the district are a board-and-batten schoolhouse, barn, smokehouse, overseer's cottage, privy, stone dairy, and stone root cellar.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Greenwich Presbyterian Church and Cemetery is a historic Presbyterian church and cemetery located at 9510 Burwell Road in Greenwich, Prince William County, Virginia. It was started in 1859, and is a one-story, gable-roofed brick church building in the Gothic Revival style. It features two pointed-arched front doors, decorative buttresses on the side walls, and large, pointed, arched windows on the front and side walls. It has a wooden church tower with a louvred belfry and a shingle-covered spire topped by a weathervane. The adjacent cemetery has at least 100 headstones and includes the graves of several American Civil War soldiers, including Captain Bradford Smith Hoskins, a colorful Englishman who rode with Colonel John S. Mosby.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Buckland is an unincorporated community in Prince William County, Virginia. Established in 1798, Buckland was an early inland stagecoach town, situated along the Fauquier and Alexandria Turnpike. An 1855 gazetteer described it as having "1 church and a few shops".Buckland is the current site of the Buckland Historic District and Battle of Buckland Mills Civil War Battlefield.
