WHPY-FM (94.5 MHz) is a commercial radio station licensed to Bellevue, Tennessee, and serving the Nashville metropolitan area. It simulcasts a classic hits radio format with sister station WYGI 1430 AM Madison. They are owned by Kensington Digital Media and are known as "Hippie Radio." The stations focus on the "hippie era," playing the hits of the 1960s, 70s and 80s. WHPY-FM has an effective radiated power of 6,000 watts. The transmitter is on McCrory Lane in Nashville, near Interstate 40.

The Golf Club of Tennessee is a private golf complex located near Nashville in Kingston Springs, Tennessee. It is an 18-hole Tom Fazio course on 317 acres (218 hectares). It was formed in 1988 by billionaire businessman Bronson Ingram along with Toby S. Wilt and George N. Gillett, Jr. It contains a 31,000 square foot (2,900 m2) clubhouse and can accommodate 16 overnight guests including the Ingram Cabin.As of 2017, Golf Digest rated the course as number 163 of Americas 200 Greatest Golf Courses.

The Kingston Springs Hotel and Buildings is a historic hotel complex in Kingston Springs, Tennessee. It was rebuilt in the 1890s, surrounded by original 1860 cottages. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Mound Bottom is a prehistoric Native American complex in Cheatham County, Tennessee, located in the Southeastern United States. The complex, which consists of earthen platform and burial mounds, a 7-acre central plaza, and habitation areas, was occupied between approximately 1000 and 1300 AD, during the Mississippian period. The Mound Bottom site is likely associated with another mound complex located just over a mile to the south known as the Pack Site, or Great Mound Division, and together they have been called the "Great Mound Group." Due to structural similarities in the mounds and ceramic chronologies, these sites are believed to have been contemporaneous.

The Hows-Madden House is a historic mansion in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built in 1830 for Rasa Hows, a settler and slaveholder. After he died in 1858, it was inherited by his widow and his sons, including Stephen Hows, who served under Nathan Bedford Forrest in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War of 1861–1865. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 23, 1984.

Beech Grove is a historic mansion in Nashville, Tennessee. Built as a log house circa 1850, it was a Southern plantation with African slaves in the Antebellum era. In the 1910s, it became a livestock farm.

WRFN-LP is a community LPFM non-commercial radio station in Nashville, Tennessee. It operates at a frequency of 107.1 MHz and is branded as Radio Free Nashville. The station features a mix of music, talk and public affairs programming, almost all with a decidedly liberal or leftist political perspective largely not found on other area media outlets (local or national). The station went on the air in April 2005, with studios and transmitter located at the nearby community of Pasquo, Tennessee, 15 miles (24 km) west of downtown Nashville. WRFN-LP was the seventh community radio "barnraising" of the Prometheus Radio Project. In mid-2007, WRFN began simulcasting on Nashville's iQtv's second audio program (SAP). On October 25, 2009, WRFN changed its frequency to 107.1 MHz from its previously assigned frequency of 98.9 MHz, which had also been occupied by WANT in nearby Lebanon, Tennessee. A translator station, W279CH on 103.7 in Hermitage, Tennessee, signed-on in December 2014 to serve Nashville proper, expanding WRFN's over-the-air reach in the Nashville metro area. The callsign was originally used by another Nashville station, Fisk University's WFSK-FM, from its beginning in 1973 until about 1983.

Harpeth River State Park is a state park in Cheatham and Davidson counties in the U.S. state of Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. The park is a linear park that was created to connect several state historic, natural, and archaeological sites along the lower Harpeth River. The park includes an incised meander in the river known as the Narrows of the Harpeth and its associated national historic landmark, the Montgomery Bell Tunnel. The park also includes the Mound Bottom and Mace Bluff archaeological sites, the Newsom's Mill Historic Site, the Gossett Tract State Natural Area, and a section of land at Hidden Lakes.The Montgomery Bell Tunnel is a man-made water feature in Cheatham County, Tennessee, which directs water through a tunnel at a narrow portion of an oxbow on the Harpeth River. Created in 1818 by Montgomery Bell, the 290-foot (88 m) long tunnel (state park signs at the tunnel give its length as 200 feet) was devised to power an iron-manufacturing operation known as Pattison Forge. The area is now protected as being a Tennessee state park, as well as a National Historic Landmark.

The Montgomery Bell Tunnel, also known as the Pattison Forge Tunnel, which Bell called "Pattison Forge" (often spelled, incorrectly, "Patterson") after his mother's maiden name, is a historic water diversion tunnel in Harpeth River State Park in Cheatham County, Tennessee. Built in 1819, the 290-foot (88 m) long tunnel is believed to be the first full-size tunnel built in the United States, and is the first used to divert water for industrial purposes. It was designated a Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1981, and a National Historic Landmark in 1994.

The 5th congressional district of Tennessee is a congressional district in Middle Tennessee. It has been represented by Republican Andy Ogles since January 2023. In the past, the fifth district has been nearly synonymous with Tennessee's capital city, Nashville, as the district has almost always been centered on Nashville throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries. The city is a center for the music, healthcare, publishing, banking and transportation industries, and is home to numerous colleges and universities (its old nickname was "the Athens of the South"). It is also home to the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, earning it the nickname "Music City".Since the 2022 election cycle, there is no longer a congressional district centered on the city of Nashville itself. Tennessee's 5th is a gerrymandered district designed to favor Republican candidates. Prior to the 2020 House Redistricting Cycle, the district contained the entirety of Davidson County, making it a safe seat for the Democratic Party. Following redistricting, Nashville was split into 3 separate districts, effectively diluting the city's heavily Democratic voter base into the surrounding suburban and rural counties, which lean strongly Republican.
