The High Commission of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States in Ottawa (OECS) was a regional High Commission office for multiple island-nations that are members of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States. The office was located on Albert Street in the Canadian capital Ottawa. The office was closed permanently in 2011 for financial reasons. It has been replaced by an Eastern Caribbean Liaison Service which works with the Canada/Caribbean Seasonal Agricultural Workers Programme

The World Exchange Plaza is an office and retail complex in Downtown Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Consisting of two towers and an outdoor plaza, it covers an entire city block between Metcalfe and O'Connor Streets south of Queen and north of Albert Street. The first phase of the project was completed in 1991. At the time, the twenty-story building was unusual in Ottawa for its visual flair. The eastern side was marked by a large plaza modeled after the Roman Colosseum. The building opened in the middle of a deep recession and initially had trouble being filled. Still, work began on a second tower, which was completed in 2001. This second tower greatly increased the available office space. The two towers hold offices for a variety of companies, including Deloitte, Borden Ladner Gervais (BLG), CTV, Microsoft, Accenture, Norton Rose Fulbright, RBC Dominion Securities, TD Canada Trust, CPAC and Beer Canada. Atop of one tower is the TD logo and atop the other is the BLG logo. The building also houses the Embassy of Mexico to Canada.The World Exchange Plaza contains a small shopping mall located on the ground floor. The mall featured five life-size models of narwhals and belugas that hung from the ceiling. The models were made and donated by the Canadian Museum of Nature and were unveiled on October 29, 1991 in the presence of Princess Diana. In preparation for an extensive renovation of the plaza's ground floor, the sculptures were given back to the Canadian Museum of Nature on November 10, 2021.The complex also featured a movie theatre, the only cinema in the downtown core. The theatre was run by Cineplex Odeon from its opening in 1991 until September 30, 2005 when it was bought by Empire Theatres who operated the theatre until October 29, 2013. The theatre closed on December 29, 2013 when Landmark Cinemas was unable to renew the lease. The space was then converted into office space. On Jan 24, 2017 it was announced that Klipfolio Dashboard would become the first major tenant of this newly renovated space.The complex is managed by QuadReal on behalf of the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (bcIMC).

The Ottawa International Film Festival (OIFF) was an Ottawa-based, publicly attended film festival that held its first annual competition in 2010. The festival ran annually for three days. The festival screened shorts and feature-length films of any genre and of any country of origin. The 2010 program yielded one full day of Canadian films and another day of international films. Closely linked to local 72-hour film challenges, the Second Ottawa International Film Festival ran from August 17–21, 2011. The 2011 program presented 24 short films and seven feature films, including three world premieres and one each of Canadian and Ottawa premieres. The festival closed with a competition of locally produced music videos and bands. Hollywood producer Aaron Ryder had been linked to the festival and provided a Q + A after screening his films Donnie Darko and Memento in the August program. Ottawa-based film A Violent State by director Adrian Langley was awarded the 2011 Lieutenant's Pump Award for Best Film.The festival was last staged in 2015. In its place, a new International Film Festival of Ottawa (IFFO) was organized by the Canadian Film Institute to launch in 2020.

The Delegation of the European Union to Canada is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was established to facilitate relations between the European Union and Canada. It opened in 1976 and was originally located at 45 O'Connor Street before moving to a new location at 150 Metcalfe Street. Though not officially an embassy, the head of the mission is given rank and courtesy title of ambassador within Canadian law. The Delegation has three sections: Economic and Trade; Political and Public Affairs; and Administration.

The High Commission of Barbados in Ottawa (French: Haut-commissariat de la Barbade à Ottawa) is the primary diplomatic mission of Barbados in Canada. Among the initial diplomatic missions to be established by Barbados after the attainment of independence from Britain, the office is located in Downtown Ottawa, Ontario at 55 Metcalfe Street in Suite 470. The High Commission is located three blocks from Parliament Hill, seat of the national legislature of Canada, on the corner Metcalfe and Queen Streets. The High Commission to Ottawa is further supported by a Consul General in the city of Toronto. The official residence of the Barbadian High Commissioner to Ottawa is located on the edge of Rockcliffe Park at #368 Lisgar Road.The Barbadian High Commission presently ranks 14th on Canadian Government's "Ambassadors by Order of Precedence" list.Initially the Office of the Barbados High Commission was established in June 1967 at: 151 Slater Street, Suite 200. It remained for a number of years before relocating.

The Embassy of Mexico in Canada, based out of Ottawa, is the primary diplomatic mission from the United Mexican States to Canada. Relations between the two nations were formally established on 30 January 1944, with Mexico eventually opening a consulate in Montreal in 1952. This consulate was later upgraded to an embassy and moved to Ottawa.

The Thomas D'Arcy McGee Building, at 90 Sparks Street, is an office building in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the south side of Sparks Street, east of Metcalfe. The building was opened in 1981 with the Royal Bank of Canada as its main occupant and accordingly it was named the Royal Bank Centre. As with many Ottawa office buildings it also became home to a number of federal government offices. In March 2001, the building was purchased by the federal government for 66 million dollars. The next year, it was renamed after Father of Confederation Thomas D'Arcy McGee, who was assassinated in 1868 near the site of the building. It is still RBC's Ottawa headquarters and the bank's logo remains on the structure. On October 31, 2007, the Building was sold to Larco Investments Limited on a leaseback arrangement good for 25 years.The bottom two storeys contain a shopping complex. The site was once occupied by a row of stores including hat maker and retailer R.J. Devlin Limited, which later operated as Morgan's.

Murphy-Gamble Limited was a long-time department store in the City of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The store was located at 118 Sparks Street in a 1909 building designed by C.P. Meredith, and for years used the slogan "Ottawa's Smart Store". Murphy-Gamble's fifth floor restaurant was known as the Rideau Room. Sparks Street was home to many of Ottawa's department stores during the first half of the 20th century, including Murphy-Gamble, C. Ross and Bryson-Graham. Ogilvy's, Freimans and Caplan's were located further east, on Rideau Street. The success of local department stores in Ottawa discouraged the entry of most national chains into the National Capital Region until the 1950s. Murphy-Gamble was purchased by Simpson's in 1971, and the store continued to operate under the Simpson's banner until 1983. The building is now occupied by a branch of Scotiabank. With the closing of the Zellers store in 2013, and the closure of Holt Renfrew at 240 Sparks Street in 2014, there were no department stores left in operation on Sparks Street until Winners moved into the previous Zellers location in 2015.

Parliament (French: Parlement) is a station on the Confederation Line as part of the O-Train network in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The station is located under O'Connor and Queen Streets in Downtown Ottawa. It has the highest projected use of all new stops on the Confederation Line, with access to Parliament Hill, Sparks Street, the downtown business district, as well as the World Exchange Plaza and Bank Street. The station is also near the CBC Ottawa Production Centre studios.

Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, (Inuktitut syllabics: ᐃᓄᐃᑦ ᑕᐱᕇᑦ ᑲᓇᑕᒥ, meaning "Inuit are united in Canada") previously known as the Inuit Tapirisat of Canada (Eskimo Brotherhood of Canada), is a nonprofit organization in Canada that represents over 65,000 Inuit across Inuit Nunangat and the rest of Canada. Their mission is to "serve as a national voice protecting and advancing the rights and interests of Inuit in Canada."Founded in 1971 by Inuit leaders, the organization has gone to accomplish various things such as, assisting in the negotiation of land claims, representing the voice of Inuit and their culture by using television, taking legal action against those who have violated their rights, and creating a program to improve education for Inuit children. The ITK has sought to attain its goals, either in cooperation with various levels of government or in opposition. Altogether, the ITK looks to advocate on the behalf of Inuit in Canada. The contributions of the ITK led to the creation of Nunavut.

Built in 1985, Heritage Place is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and home to many Government of Canada offices. The government departments in the building include Environment Canada and Industry Canada. The building has 14 storeys and offers views of the Sparks Street Mall and Parliament Hill. The building offers underground parking as well as a small café called Biscotti's Coffee House which offers lunch specials and snacks. Since the opening of the Confederation Line in September 2019, the corner of O'Connor and Queen features an integrated entrance to Parliament Station.

The Ottawa Public Library (OPL; French: Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa) is the library system of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The library was founded in 1906 with a donation from the Carnegie Foundation.
