Short Creek Community

Colorado City is a town in Mohave County, Arizona, United States, and is located in a region known as the Arizona Strip. As of the 2020 census, the population of the town was 2,478, down from 4,821 in 2010. At least three Mormon fundamentalist sects are said to have been based there. A majority of residents and many local officials belong to the most prominent of these sects, the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, whose corporation also owned much of the land within and around the town until state intervention in the 2000s.

The Leroy S. Johnson Meetinghouse was the meetinghouse of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS) located in Colorado City, Arizona, serving the Short Creek Community which includes Hilldale, Utah.When church prophet Warren Jeffs was arrested in 2006 for sexual assault of children, the town was raided and many church members left the community, with former members reclaiming buildings, including the Meetinghouse.The building is currently used as the Legacy Community Center.

Mohave Community College (MCC) is a public community college with campuses in Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, and Colorado City, serving Mohave County, Arizona and the surrounding communities. MCC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

The Isaac W. Carling Memorial Park is a cemetery in Colorado City, Arizona, United States. Throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries, it was the main burial site for members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Cemetery is named after Isaac Warren Carling (1894–1938).

Centennial Park is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,578 at the 2020 census, up from 1,264 at the 2010 census. It is the central location for the Centennial Park group, a fundamentalist Mormon group.

Colorado City Municipal Airport (ICAO: KAZC, FAA LID: AZC) is a general aviation airport located 3 miles (2.6 nmi; 4.8 km) southwest of the central business district of Colorado City, in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. The airport is not served by any commercial airlines. There are both JET-A and 100LL fuel services at this airport. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Colorado City Municipal Airport is assigned AZC by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

Cottonwood Point Wilderness is a protected wilderness area on the Arizona Strip in the U.S. state of Arizona. The area consists of two "peninsulas" dividing Cottonwood Canyon, covered with pinyon, juniper, and sagebrush. The high point stands at 6322 feet (1926 m) on the western peninsula, rising from the Arizona-Utah border.The Cottonwood Point Wilderness was established in 1984 under the Arizona Wilderness Act becoming part of the National Wilderness Preservation System and is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. Canaan Mountain Wilderness lies contiguously to the north across the Arizona-Utah border.

Cane Beds is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. It lies 4 miles (6 km) south of the border with Utah in the Arizona Strip, and is supported by services in Utah as well as some in Nevada. The population was 466 at the 2020 census. The community is historically Mormon, and presently also includes several families from breakaway Mormon groups. It has a small tourism industry because of nearby scenic hiking trails.

Canaan Mountain Wilderness is a 44,531-acre (180.2 km2) wilderness area in the US state of Utah. It was designated March 30, 2009, as part of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009. Located near the town of Hildale in southeastern Washington County, it borders Zion National Park to the north, Kane County to the east, and the state of Arizona to the south.
