Central City is a borough in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 998 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is east-northeast of Stoystown and northeast of Somerset.

Cairnbrook is a census-designated place and coal town in Shade Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, United States. The community is located along Pennsylvania Route 160 within a mile of the borough of Central City. As of the 2010 census, the population was 520 residents.

Allegheny Mountain is a stratigraphic ridge that extends northeast to southwest from south of Blue Knob to a saddle point at the Savage Mountain anticline. It merges with Negro Mountain just north of the Cambria County line where the Berlin-Salisbury basin expires.The Eastern Continental Divide enters Allegheny Mountain south of Fraziers Pass and follows the Allegheny Backbone southwest where it leaves the escarpment toward the saddle point to the southeast between headwaters of Flaugherty and Wills Creeks, at which the ECD enters the Savage Mountain anticline.: 9 

Indian Lake (Private Lake only to land owners within the borough) is a borough in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 391 at the 2020 census, down from 394 in 2010. Indian Lake is home to Indian Lake Golf Club, which opened in 1974, and was the first to be designed by Arnold Palmer, Northwinds Golf Course (public), Indian Lake Resort (fine dining, banquet, and lodging), Indian Lake Marina, and the James W. McIntyre Hiking and Biking Trail. United Airlines Flight 93 crashed near here. The actual location of the crash was in a field in Stonycreek Township.

The S.S. Grand View Point Hotel, also known as the Ship Hotel or Ship of the Alleghenies, was a historic hotel and roadside attraction in Juniata Township in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1927 as a hotel, but did not become the Ship Hotel until the additions which made it look like a ship were completed in 1932. The hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, but after the hotel burned down in 2001 it was delisted in 2002.

Schober through licensee Zip2, LLC, the station currently airs an Adult Hits format as "101.3 107.1 Jack FM", as part of a simulcast with WYUP 1400 AM in Loretto. WKGE currently uses a complex directional antenna array to protect other stations on 850 kHz. It had a Construction Permit (CP) to move to 870 kHz and become a daytime-only Class D station. This included a power cut to 7 kW, and a reduction from a 9-tower to a simpler 3-tower array, utilizing one eastern, one central and one western tower of the original 9-tower array.

The Flight 93 National Memorial is a memorial built to commemorate the crash of United Airlines Flight 93, which was one of four aircraft hijacked during the September 11 attacks in 2001. The memorial is located in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, with the vast majority in Stonycreek Township, and with a small portion in Shade Township. It is 78 miles (126 km) southeast of Pittsburgh and 226 miles (364 km) west of Philadelphia. A national memorial was created to honor the passengers and crew of Flight 93, who stopped the terrorists from reaching their target by fighting the hijackers. A temporary memorial to the 40 victims was established soon after the crash. The first phase of the permanent memorial was completed, opened, and dedicated on September 10, 2011. The design for the memorial is a modified version of the entry Crescent of Embrace by Paul and Milena Murdoch. A concrete and glass visitor center opened on September 10, 2015, situated on a hill overlooking the crash site and the white marble Wall of Names. An observation platform at the visitor center and the white marble wall are both aligned beneath the path of Flight 93.
