Pocono Township, Pennsylvania

The Pocono Manor Historic District is a national historic district that is located in Pocono Township and Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. This district encompasses seventy-five contributing buildings, one contributing site, four contributing structures, and four contributing objects that are located on the grounds of the historic Pocono Manor resort.

The Birchwood-Pocono Airpark is a former airport located in Tannersville, Pennsylvania that operated alongside the Birchwood Resort from 1968 until its closure in 1996.

Henryville is an unincorporated community in Paradise Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, United States. Henryville is located by the intersection of Pennsylvania Route 191 and Pennsylvania Route 715. Henryville has not been included in past Census counts. Henryville was founded March 24, 1736, by a man named Andrew Comstock. Comstock put his whole life aside to focus on building infrastructure for what would later become the town of Henryville.

Penn Hills Resort was a honeymoon resort located in Analomink, Pennsylvania, in the Pocono Mountains. Founded as a tavern in 1944, the resort grew in the 1960s, with over a hundred rooms in the hotel and a ski resort and golf course on the 500-acre site. Guest villas featured floor-to-ceiling carpeting, round beds, and heart-shaped bathtubs. Distinctive, modernist streetlights from the 1964 World's Fair were installed, as well as an ice rink and a wedding bell shaped outdoor swimming pool.Billed as a "Paradise of Pocono Pleasure" and a place of "unbridled passion", Penn Hills catered to young couples who enjoyed archery and tennis and danced at modestly lavish New Year's Eve parties where the motto was "No balloon goes unpopped."The resort closed in 2009.

The Tannersville Cranberry Bog or Cranberry Swamp is a sphagnum bog on the Cranberry Creek in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. It is the southernmost boreal bog east of the Mississippi River, containing many black spruce and tamarack trees at the southern limit of their ranges. Technically, it can be classed as an acid fen, as it receives some groundwater flow. The site was designated a National Natural Landmark in December 1974. It was purchased by The Nature Conservancy and the Conservation and Research Foundation in 1957. Like many bogs, its terrain presents an image of solidity, but a liquid mass of decaying peat lies beneath a six-inch (152 mm) layer of sphagnum and a network of supporting tree roots. However, this bog may be viewed from a floating walkway.

Penn Estates is a census-designated place located in Stroud and Pocono Townships in Monroe County in the state of Pennsylvania. The community is located northwest of the borough of East Stroudsburg. As of the 2020 census the population was 4,493 residents.

Meisertown is an unincorporated community in Pocono Township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, United States. Meisertown is located at the intersection of state routes 314 and 715.

Analomink is a former Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad station along PA Route 191 in Analomink, Stroud Township, Pennsylvania. PennDOT and Stroud Township own the two parcels that comprise the proposed site, which would be serviced by New Jersey Transit. While the Township-owned portion is currently vacant, the parcel under PennDOT ownership is used for roadway maintenance materials storage.

Alpine Mountain Ski & Ride Center is a former ski area in The Poconos of Pennsylvania located south-east of Scranton, Pennsylvania. It has 21 trails including 3 greens, 12 blues and 6 diamonds. It also has a terrain park located on the east side of the mountain at the bottom of the Swivel trail. The mountain was Voted On the Snow's 2013 Best Family Ski Area in the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast Region. In 2013, the mountain was put up for sale in a closed bid auction. It was purchased by an undisclosed buyer and the ski resort opened for the 2013–14 season on December 20, 2013. After two years of operation under new management, the mountain closed once again in 2015. It was sold in 2017 to a family local to the community who has not yet announced their plans on what will become of the operation.

Gravel Place is a location within Arlington Heights, Pennsylvania, about three miles (4.8 km) northeast of East Stroudsburg. It is neither incorporated nor a census-designated place, but has a name recognized by the USGS. From the 1880s to about 1950, it was a railroad yard of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad (DL&W) on its mainline from Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey, which served New York City by ferry, to Scranton, Pennsylvania, continuing northwest into New York State with its western terminus in Buffalo, New York. It is just north of present Mill Creek Road.
