Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is an English-language publicly funded tertiary liberal arts institution with a Christian education heritage. It was established as Hong Kong Baptist College with the support of American Baptists, who provided both operating and construction funds and personnel to the school in its early years. It became a public college in 1983. It became Hong Kong Baptist University in 1994 during the presidency of Dr. Daniel Tse Chi-wai, LLD, GBS, CBE, JP, who succeeded the Founding President, Dr. Lam Chi-fung, as the second president of the University in 1971. After 30 years of services to the University, Dr. Daniel Tse Chi-wai retired in 2001 and Prof. Ng Ching-fai, GBS, was appointed as the third president of the University. In 2010, Prof. Albert Chan Sun-chi assumed office as the fourth president of HKBU. In 2015, Prof. Roland Chin was appointed as the fifth President of HKBU. On 1 February 2021, Prof. Alexander Ping-kong Wai became the sixth President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU. HKBU has five main campuses: Ho Sin Hang Campus (1966), Shaw Campus (1995), Baptist University Road Campus (1998), Kai Tak Campus (2005), and Shek Mun Campus (2006) for the College of International Education and the Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School. The first three campuses are located in the urban heart of Kowloon Tsai, while the Kai Tak Campus is located on Kwun Tong Road and the Shek Mun Campus in the Shek Mun area of Sha Tin District near Shek Mun station. In 2005, the University established the Beijing Normal University – Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, China. The college was the first tertiary education institution founded through collaboration between a Mainland university and a Hong Kong university.

The Hong Kong China Temple (Chinese: 中國香港聖殿), formerly the Hong Kong Temple, is the 48th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The LDS Church first sent missionaries to Hong Kong in 1853. Almost 140 years later, in 1992, then-First Counselor in the First Presidency, Gordon B. Hinckley, announced plans to build a temple in the territory. Finding a site on which to build, however, proved difficult, especially given the high cost of real estate in the area. Finally, it was decided that the temple would be built on the site of the existing mission home and chapel. Because of the land shortage in the territory, the temple had to be 'built up' instead of 'spreading out' to build. This scarcity of space contributed to the unique design of the Hong Kong Temple. The six-story building is designed to house not only the temple, but also a chapel, mission offices, and living quarters for the temple president and several missionaries.The dedication of the Hong Kong China Temple took place on May 26, 1996. The temple serves church members from parts of India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Mongolia, Guam, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Cambodia, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, and Indonesia. It has a total of 21,744 square feet (2,020.1 m2), two ordinance rooms, and two sealing rooms.On January 29, 2019 the LDS Church announced the temple's July 8, 2019 closing for renovations. The renovations are anticipated to be completed in 2022.

Broadcast Drive is a road in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. The road is notable as it is only 1 km long but having played host to all five broadcasting outlets in Hong Kong at one point in the 1970s, and the hill on which the road is located was known in Chinese as Ng Toi Shan (五台山, lit. five-station hill) during that time. The five broadcasters were: Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), whose headquarters (Broadcasting House) was inaugurated in 1969 at 30 Broadcast Drive Commercial Radio Hong Kong (CRHK) Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) Rediffusion Television (RTV), later renamed Asia Television (ATV); and Commercial TelevisionThe area became known as Four-station Hill (四台山) in 1978 following Commercial Television's collapse. Its studio building was acquired by RTHK for its television unit, and was reopened as Television House in 1986. TVB moved its operations to the Clear Water Bay TV City in 1988, and ATV moved to Tai Po in 2007, leaving RTHK and CRHK the only remaining broadcasters on the road. RTHK has announced plans to move its operations to Tseung Kwan O within the next few years. The reason for the departure of broadcast stations is partly due to the rising value of the land occupied and stations cashing in the rise in value. The area is also a well known high end (though gradually ageing) residential neighbourhood, and is home to those mainly from professional and upper middle class backgrounds.

Kowloon East Barracks (Chinese: 九龍東軍營), formerly Osborn Barracks (Chinese: 奧士本軍營), is a People's Liberation Army facility, and was a British Army facility, in Kowloon City District, Hong Kong. Located in the northern part of Kowloon on Waterloo Road and Junction Road (across the street from Hong Kong Baptist University).

The China Graduate School of Theology (CGST) is a theological seminary in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. The President is Stephen Lee, who succeeded Carver Yu in 2013. CGST is accredited by the Asia Theological Association to offer Master of Christian Studies, Master of Divinity, and Master of Theology degrees. It is also a member of the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia.

Yew Chung International School (YCIS, Chinese: 耀中國際學校), is a private international school in Hong Kong for boys and girls aged 6 months to 19 years (Infant & Toddler to Year 13). The campus is situated in Kowloon Tong, and in Kowloon City District, offer a through-train education from Kindergarten to Secondary. The school is operated by Yew Chung Education Foundation. At YCIS, they support learning through Chinese and English as well as French (as additional language).

Kowloon True Light School (KTLS, Chinese: 九龍真光中學) is a Protestant girls' secondary school situated in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong. This school is conveniently located near Kowloon Tong station.

The Australian International School Hong Kong (AISHK, Chinese: 香港澳洲國際學校) is a private co-educational international school in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, China. Established in 1995, the school provides education for children from Preparatory to Year 12 plus a Reception (K2) kindergarten class.

Kowloon Tong is a station on MTR's Kwun Tong line and East Rail line in New Kowloon, Hong Kong. The station serves Kowloon Tong and its vicinity, including Yau Yat Tsuen, the Festival Walk shopping centre, City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University. It is in both Kowloon City District and Sham Shui Po District.This station serves as one of the three interchange stations for the East Rail line, leading up to the New Territories and entry point to mainland China. Therefore, it is one of the busiest stations in the system (the other interchange Tsim Sha Tsui/East Tsim Sha Tsui is less convenient).

The School of Chinese Medicine at Hong Kong Baptist University is a school in Hong Kong that offers full-time degree programmes in Chinese medicine, Biomedical science, and pharmacy in Chinese medicine, also offers part-time programmes in Chinese medicine, pharmacy in Chinese medicine, acupuncture, tui na, orthopaedics and beauty care.

Lok Sin Tong Yu Kan Hing Secondary School (Chinese: 樂善堂余近卿中學) or Lok Sin Tong Yu Kan Hing School prior to 2004, is a secondary school of Chinese as a media of instruction (CMI) in Wang Tau Hom, New Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Beacon Hill Tunnel is a railway tunnel in Hong Kong on the original Kowloon–Canton Railway, linking Kowloon Tong to its immediate south and Sha Tin to its north. The nearest stations to the south and north of the tunnel are Kowloon Tong and Tai Wai respectively. Today, the tunnel carries the MTR East Rail line metro service and through trains to Mainland China. There are actually two tunnels of this name. The first (Chinese: 煙墩山隧道) opened in 1910 and operated until its replacement (Chinese: 筆架山隧道) came into operation following its 1981 completion.
