Tampa Catholic High School is a diocesan, Catholic, coeducational high school located in Tampa, Florida, United States, founded in 1962. It is in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint Petersburg. Its motto is "Veritas et Caritas," which means "Truth and Charity."

The Franciscan Center, named to honor St. Francis of Assisi, is located on east side of the Hillsborough River, in the Riverside Heights residential area of Tampa, Florida. The center, on 8-acre (32,000 m2), is designed to be a spiritual retreat center for people of all faiths. It is considered in the same nonprofit category as a church. It began when Joseph Miyares, a local attorney, donated property to be converted into the Franciscan Center.The Franciscan Center's main building is two stories high. It has facilities to host various sizes of meetings and has forty-two bedrooms for guests. The Sabbath House, to the south of the main building, is a smaller building that can accommodate smaller meetings. The Pavilion was built in 2008 to accommodate outside meetings along the Hillsborough River.

The Old Tampa Children's Home (also known as the Good Samaritan Inn) is a historic home in Tampa, Florida. Some sources have it located at 3302 North Tampa Avenue but this is incorrect. It is actually one block east on Florida Avenue. On July 22, 1999, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The D. W. Waters Career Center is a magnet high school located in Tampa, Florida. On May 15, 2007, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places as the Old Hillsborough County High School.Built in the city's Tampa Heights neighborhood in 1911 at a cost of $60,000, the old Hillsborough County High School building served what was then the county's only high school. Architect William Potter designed the three story masonry block building as a closed rectangle with an open center (since then it has been almost entirely filled). This was the third campus in the school's history and remained its home until 1928, when Hillsborough High School moved to its fourth and current campus ("County" was dropped from the name as by then the county had built an additional high school, Henry B. Plant High School). The building has served other schools since then, including Jefferson High School, which was founded there in 1939 and called the building home until 1967. The school had a large Hispanic and Italian population due to students who were from the Latino communities of Ybor City and West Tampa. After that it housed the former George Washington Junior High School until that institution was closed in 1979.Today the historic building continues its educational use as the home of D.W. Waters Career Center, a Hillsborough County Public Schools center for 11th grade and 12th grade students which focuses on occupational training. It benefited from a major restoration in 2003.

The William E. Curtis House (also known as the John F. Durack House) is a historic home in Tampa, Florida; located at 808 East Curtis Street. On August 27, 1987, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Curtis was a nurserymanBuilt around 1905 - 1906, the house is one of the oldest residential structures in Tampa's Seminole Heights neighborhoods. The two-story, frame structure is an example of Dutch Colonial Revival style and features a gambrel roof.

Tampa Heights is one of the oldest neighborhoods within the city limits of Tampa, situated in the central part of the city. As of the 2000 census, the neighborhood had a population of 16,393. Historic buildings in the area include the Tampa Free Library. Redevelopment efforts are underway in the community and include an extension of Tampa Riverwalk and renovation of Water Works Park (Tampa, Florida).
