The Talman West Ridge Bungalow Historic District is a residential historic district in the West Ridge neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. 181 of the district's 272 buildings are either brick Chicago bungalows or older stucco bungalows built from 1919 to 1930. As homeownership became more affordable in early twentieth century Chicago, the bungalow became popular for its easily and cheaply replicated design, and tens of thousands of the homes were built throughout the city. West Ridge, a lightly developed area on Chicago's northern border, was typical of the neighborhoods that were dominated by new bungalows. While a variety of developers and architects built the district's bungalows in distinctive fashions, the homes' similar designs and consistent setbacks from the street give the district a cohesive appearance.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 10, 2008.

The Rogers Park Manor Bungalow Historic District is a residential historic district in the West Ridge neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The district includes 329 buildings, 247 of which are Chicago bungalows built in the 1920s. As homeownership became more accessible to working-class Chicagoans in the early twentieth century, bungalows became an affordable and popular style due to their easily replicable design, and tens of thousands of the houses were built throughout Chicago. The Rogers Park Manor area was typical of new bungalow neighborhoods, as it was an underdeveloped outlying neighborhood near the city's northern edge. The bungalows in Rogers Park Manor were built by several different developers and architects, which led to variation in the size and shape of the homes despite their similar designs. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 15, 2005.

The Anderson–Carlson Building is a historic six-flat apartment building in the West Ridge community area of Chicago, Illinois. George E. Carlson and F. Anderson commissioned the building, which was completed in 1928 and owned by Anderson's family for the first 27 years of its existence. The building was designed by Godfrey E. Larson, a Chicago architect who later worked as a field representative for the Public Works Administration. The apartment was built in the Spanish Baroque Revival style, which can be seen in the pilasters and swan's-neck pediment in its entryway and the two windows designed to resemble balconies. While many six-flat apartments were constructed in West Ridge and neighboring Rogers Park in the 1920s, the Anderson–Carlson Building is the only one designed in the Spanish Baroque Revival style and one of the few with a highly detailed design. The building has been largely unaltered since its construction; with the exception of one window, every major feature of the building is still present, and five of its six apartments have maintained their original design. On November 15, 2003, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

St. Henry Catholic Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery located in Chicago, Illinois. It is bordered by Devon Avenue on the north, near its intersection with Ridge Avenue.

Ida Crown Jewish Academy is a Modern Orthodox Jewish high school in Skokie, Illinois, under the auspicies of the Associated Talmud Torahs. Its current dean is Leonard Matanky. ICJA places emphasis on both Judaic and Secular studies and holds its students to high academic standards. ICJA encourages its students to pursue a year in yeshiva or seminary in Israel before attending college. Ida Crown serves students from all over the Chicago area, including Chicago, Lincolnwood, Skokie, Northbrook, Highland Park, Glencoe, Deerfield, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, and Evanston. As of the 2021-22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 216 students and 36.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.8:1.

The Jackson-Thomas House is an Italianate style and Second Empire architecture house at 7053 North Ridge Avenue in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, United States. The house was built in 1874 by an unknown architect, but Andrew B. Jackson, one of the five partners in the Rogers Park Land Company worked on it. Manufacturer L.H. Thomas acquired the property in 1879. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on October 16, 1984. Around 1910, the porch and entrance was added, in a classical design.

Kenmore was a commuter railroad station on the Chicago and North Western Railway's Milwaukee Division, now the Union Pacific / North Line. The station was located on Ravenswood Avenue between Granville and Thome Avenues, in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood. Kenmore opened in 1887 or 1888, and closed on December 1, 1958, as part of an effort by the Chicago and North Western to close twenty two stations within the city of Chicago and the close-in suburbs.

Stephen Tyng Mather High School (commonly known as simply Mather) is a public 4–year high school located in the West Ridge neighborhood on the north side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Opened in 1959, Mather is operated by the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) district. Mather is named in honor of Stephen Mather, an industrialist and conservationist who became the first director of the National Park Service.

Rosehill Cemetery (founded 1859) is an American garden cemetery on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois, and at 350 acres (1.4 km2), is the largest cemetery in the City of Chicago. According to legend, the name "Rosehill" resulted from a City Clerk's error – the area was previously called "Roe's Hill", named for nearby farmer Hiram Roe. He refused to sell his land to the city until it was promised that the cemetery be named in his honor. It is located in the north east section of the Lincoln Square community area. Rosehill's Joliet-limestone entrance gate (added in 1864) was designed by William W. Boyington, the architect of the Chicago Water Tower and the Old University of Chicago, who is buried in Rosehill. The Rosehill Cemetery Administration Building and Entry Gate was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1975.Like its sister cemetery Graceland, Rosehill is the burial place of many well-known Chicagoans. The cemetery contains many monuments that are notable for their beauty and eccentricity, such as that of Lulu Fellows.The cemetery is also the final resting place of 61 victims of the Iroquois Theatre fire, in which over 600 people died. Several graves, gravestones and monuments from the old City Cemetery, originally located in what is now Lincoln Park were relocated to Rosehill Cemetery.

The Theodore Rozek House is a historic house at 6337 N. Hermitage Avenue in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The house was built in 1908 for Theodore Rozek, a printer and German immigrant, and his family. Architect Clarence Hatzfeld designed the original house in the American Foursquare style, a popular vernacular style of the early twentieth century. Like many other Foursquare homes, the house had a square shape and was topped by a hip roof with a dormer. In the mid-1920s, architect Andrew E. Norman designed an addition for the front of the house; this addition was inspired by the Better Homes movement, which sought to bring high-level architecture to working-class homes. The addition replaced the original front porch with a semi-circular porch supported by its original columns, distinguishing the house from its neighbors.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 2, 2011.
