Ovelgünne

Hakenstedt is a village and a former municipality in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the municipality Erxleben.

It is situated approximately 30 km west of Magdeburg. It is named after the upper course of the river Aller, in its territory. The seat of the Verbandsgemeinde is in Eilsleben. The Verbandsgemeinde Obere Aller consists of the following municipalities: Eilsleben Harbke Hötensleben Sommersdorf Ummendorf Völpke Wefensleben

The Aller (pronounced [ˈalɐ] ) is a 215-kilometre-long (134 mi) river in the states of Saxony-Anhalt and Lower Saxony in Germany. It is a right-hand, and hence eastern, tributary of the Weser and is also its largest tributary. Its last 117 kilometres (73 mi) form the Lower Aller federal waterway (Bundeswasserstraße). The Aller was extensively straightened, widened and, in places, dyked, during the 1960s to provide flood control of the river. In a 20-kilometre-long (12 mi) section near Gifhorn, the river meanders in its natural river bed.

Börde (German: Landkreis Börde) is a district in Saxony-Anhalt in Germany. Its seat is the town Haldensleben. It takes its name from the natural region Magdeburg Börde. It is the site of the Morsleben radioactive waste repository. The disposal of waste into the facility ended in 1998.

Erxleben is a municipality in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. On 31 December 2009 it absorbed the former municipality Bregenstedt, followed by the former municipalities Bartensleben, Hakenstedt and Uhrsleben on 1 January 2010. The municipality consists of the Ortsteile (municipal divisions) Bregenstedt, Erxleben, Groß Bartensleben, Groppendorf, Hakenstedt, Klein Bartensleben and Uhrsleben. Erxleben Castle was owned by the House of Alvensleben from around 1270 until expropriation in 1945 by communist East Germany.
