Loitsche

Zielitz is a municipality in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

Loitsche-Heinrichsberg is a municipality in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was formed on 1 January 2010 by the merger of the former municipalities Loitsche and Heinrichsberg.

The Magdeburg Water Bridge (German: Kanalbrücke Magdeburg) is a large navigable aqueduct in central Germany, located near Magdeburg. The largest canal underbridge in Europe, it spans the river Elbe and directly connects the Mittellandkanal on the west side and Elbe-Havel Canal on the east side of the river, allowing large commercial ships to pass between the Rhineland and Berlin without having to descend into and then climb out of the Elbe itself.

The Ohre is a river in northern Germany, left tributary to the Elbe. Its total length is 103 kilometres (64 mi). Its source is north of Wolfsburg, in Lower Saxony. It flows generally south-east, at first following the border of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. After Buchhorst it flows completely through Saxony-Anhalt, along the Mittellandkanal. It flows into the Elbe in Rogätz, north of Magdeburg. The towns Brome, Calvörde, Haldensleben and Wolmirstedt lie along the river. The upper course of the Ohre is in the Drömling nature reserve. Between the end of the Second World War and German reunification, the Ohre separated East from West Germany and so formed part of the Inner German border.

Angern is a municipality in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. On 1 January 2010 it absorbed the former municipalities Bertingen, Mahlwinkel and Wenddorf. The municipality consists of the Ortsteile (municipal divisions) Angern, Bertingen, Mahlwinkel, Wenddorf and Zibberick.

Rogätz is a municipality in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is located on the left bank of the river Elbe, and is linked to Schartau by the Rogätz Ferry.

Elbe-Heide is a Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the Börde district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Before 1 January 2010, it was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft. It is situated on the left bank of the Elbe, northwest of Burg bei Magdeburg. The seat of the Verbandsgemeinde is in Rogätz. The Verbandsgemeinde Elbe-Heide consists of the following municipalities (population in 2006 between brackets): Angern (2,264) Burgstall (1,777) Colbitz (3,419) Loitsche-Heinrichsberg (1,060) Rogätz (2,219) Westheide (1,857) Zielitz (2,013)

The Rogätz Ferry, also known as the Schartau Rogätz Ferry, is a ferry across the Elbe river between Schartau and Rogätz in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

The Rothensee boat lift is North of Magdeburg and connects the Mittellandkanal with the Elbe via the Elbeabstiegskanal.
