Marnitz

Ruhner Berge is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It was created with effect from 1 January 2019 by the merger of the former municipalities of Marnitz, Suckow and Tessenow. Its name derives from the Ruhner Berge, a chain of hills.

The Ruhn Hills (German: Ruhner Berge, ) are a terminal moraine ridge up to 176.8 m above sea level (NHN), which lies on either side of the border between the German states of Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern near Parchim. After the Helpt Hills they are the second highest points in the latter federal state. The hills get their name from the village of Ruhn, which lies northeast of Neu Drefahl. Ruhn is abandoned today, but its foundations and gardens were still recognisable in the 1980s.

Tessenow is a village and a former municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Since January 2019, it is part of the new municipality Ruhner Berge.

Löcknitz is a river in northern Germany (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg and a few kilometres in Lower Saxony). The Löcknitz is a right tributary of the Elbe, its total length is 66 kilometres (41 mi). The Löcknitz originates south of Parchim, and flows through Karstädt, Lenzen, and Dömitz. The Löcknitz joins the Elbe in Wehningen (part of Amt Neuhaus), a few kilometres downstream from Dömitz. A different river Löcknitz arises in a protected valley in Eastern Brandenburg, contributing to Spree and then into Havel and Elbe as well.

The Jännersdorf Solar Park is a photovoltaic power station in Prignitz, Germany. It has a capacity of 40.5 megawatts (MW) and an annual output of 38 GWh. The solar park was developed and built by Parabel AG. The project is built on a former military training area on 90 hectares (220 acres). The project is equipped with 167,550 photovoltaic modules, with 25.6 MW from Trina Solar, 9.6 MW from Suntech Power and 5.3 MW from Hareon. The solar park was connected to the grid on 30 June 2012.
