Cowie Bridge is a roadway bridge which carries the B979 across the mouth of the Cowie Water in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Historically, the area in the vicinity of the Cowie Bridge site has been an old fishing village known as Cowie Village. Between the Cowie Bridge and the North Sea, a new pedestrian bridge is planned, which will also support a new pipeline structure. The site of Cowie Bridge is approximately the point of the southern terminus of the Causey Mounth trackway, which was the only available medieval route crossing the coastal Grampian Mountains northerly by way of Muchalls Castle and Gillybrands.

Stonehaven ( stohn-HAY-vən) is a town on the northeast coast of Scotland, 15 miles (24 km) south of Aberdeen. It had a population of 11,602 at the 2011 Census. Stonehaven was formerly the county town of Kincardineshire, succeeding the now abandoned town of Kincardine. It is currently administered as part of Aberdeenshire. The White Bridge is a footbridge in Stonehaven, Scotland. It was constructed in 1879. It was built with a wooden floor which was replaced with concrete in 1892. The bridge is Category C listed. The bridge crosses the Carron Water and links Arbuthnott Street and Cameron Street. In April 2019, the bridge was removed and placed into storage as part of flood prevention works in Stonehaven. The bridge was subsequently refurbished with its paint removed and replaced. It is expected to reopen in 2023.
