Lake Waramaug

Mount Bushnell State Park is an undeveloped public recreation area located south of Lake Waramaug in the New England town of Washington, Connecticut. The state park provides 214 acres (87 ha) for hiking. The park had its genesis in the state's purchase of 70 acres in 1916. It is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Lake Waramaug State Park is a 95-acre (38 ha) public recreation area located on the northwest shore of Lake Waramaug in the town of Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut. The state park's first 75 acres (30 ha) were purchased by the state in 1920. The park offers swimming, fishing, picnicking, camping, and a launch for car-top boating and canoeing.

The New Preston Hill Historic District encompasses a small rural 19th-century village center in the New Preston area of the town of Washington, in Litchfield County, Connecticut. Settled in the late 18th century, it is distinctive for its examples of stone architecture, include a rare Federal period stone church. The district, located at the junction of New Preston Road with Gunn Hill and Findlay Roads, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Captain Philo Beardsley House is a historic house on Beardsley Road in Kent, Connecticut. Built about 1780, it is a well-preserved example of an 18th-century saltbox, with a remarkably well-preserved interior. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Above All State Park is an undeveloped public recreation area located in the town of Warren, Connecticut. Remnants of a Cold War-era military radar installation (pictured at right) may be seen. The only park amenities are informal trails not maintained by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Marbledale or Marble Dale is a village in the town of Washington in Litchfield County, Connecticut. For U.S. Census purposes, it is included in the census-designated place of New Preston. Marbledale is part of the postal ZIP code 06777, officially known as New Preston Marble Dale.During the 19th century, Marbledale was the site of a prosperous cooper's shop. The village is the location of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, a Gothic Revival style church from 1822 that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.: 7 Marbledale is one of five villages in the rural town of Washington. A Marbledale Village Business District and a Marbledale Gateway District were proposed in 2003 planning documents of the Town of Washington. Both run along New Milford Turnpike (U.S. Route 202), with the village area running southwest to the town line of New Milford, Connecticut, and the gateway district running northeast.

St. Andrew's is a historic Episcopal church at 247 New Milford Turnpike (United States Route 202), in the Marbledale village of Washington, Litchfield County, Connecticut. Built in 1822, it is believed to be one of the first Gothic Revival style churches to be built in rural Connecticut. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Kent Hollow is a valley in the Appalachian Mountains in the town of Kent in Litchfield County, Connecticut. It is situated in the upper reaches of the West Aspetuck River, one of the cleanest rivers in Southern New England and itself classified as AA water quality. The Hollow is occupied by five historic farms: Wilsea, DeVaux, Rehnberg, Camp and Anderson. It is threatened by development with several large homes built by New York weekenders in the past two decades. It is located about 2 miles west of New Preston, about 2 miles northwest of Marble Dale, and about 6 miles southeast from the town center of Kent.

Warren is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 1,351 at the 2020 census. The town was named for Revolutionary War General Joseph Warren.On July 1, 2006, businessman Joseph Cicio placed most of Warren's commercial district on eBay for $5,000,000.

The Warren Congregational Church is a historic Congregational Church at 4 Sackett Hill Road in Warren, Connecticut. Built in 1820, it is a well-preserved example of Federal architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The Calhoun–Ives Historic District, or more formally the Calhoun Street–Ives Road Historic District, is a locally and nationally designated rural agricultural historic district in the town of Washington, Connecticut. It is located a mile north of the village of Washington Depot, Connecticut. It runs along Calhoun Street and Ives Road. It is characterized by modestly scaled 18th and 19th century farmhouses, together with accompanying agricultural outbuildings, farm fields, and fruit orchards, set along roads lined by stone walls. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
