Champ-de-Mars station (Montreal Metro)

Champ de Mars is a public park in Old Montreal quarter of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Formerly a military parade ground, the park had previously been traversed by Montreal's fortifications, which were demolished at the beginning of the 19th century. The adjacent Montreal City Hall (1878) and the old courthouse (1856) were later built inside the line of the fortifications. Champ de Mars served as a municipal parking lot starting in the 1960s until being restored as a park in 1992. At that time, the foundations of Montreal's city walls were discovered and restored. The site's name commemorates its former military purpose; Mars was the Roman god of war and campus Martius was a Latin term for a military exercise ground. The walls now standing on site are the foundations of the original walls used to protect the city.The area is bordered by the Montreal City Hall, the old and new courthouses and the Champ-de-Mars Metro station.

The Montreal Chinese Hospital (French: Hôpital chinois de Montréal, Chinese: 满地可中华医院; pinyin: Mǎndekě Zhōnghuá Yīyuàn) is a former hospital and current long-term care facility (CHSLD) on Viger Avenue, just east of Le Quartier Chinois. Despite no longer being an active hospital or having an emergency room, it maintains its historic name and primary mandate to serve the Chinese Canadian community residing in the province of Quebec. It is the only Chinese hospital in Canada. The Montreal Chinese Hospital has 128 beds.

The Statue of Jean Vauquelin (French: Monument à Jean Vauquelin) by Eugène Bénet is a sculpture installed in Montreal's Vauquelin Square, in Quebec, Canada. The statue depicts an event that took place during the Battle of Neuville against the Royal Navy in May 1760 on the Saint Lawrence River. Jean Vauquelin is shown standing on the deck of the frigate Atalante in front of the mast having nailed his colours to it. He fought for two hours with persistent bravery till his ammunition was spent before surrendering. The statue was created by sculptor Eugène-Paul Benet.

Montreal ( (listen) MUN-tree-AWL; officially Montréal, French: [mɔ̃ʁeal] (listen)) is the second-most populous city in Canada and most populous city in the Canadian province of Quebec. Founded in 1642 as Ville-Marie, or "City of Mary", it is named after Mount Royal, the triple-peaked hill around which the early city of Ville-Marie is built. The city is centred on the Island of Montreal, which obtained its name from the same origin as the city, and a few much smaller peripheral islands, the largest of which is Île Bizard. Montreal is one of the most bilingual cities in Quebec and Canada, with 57.4% of the population able to speak both English and French. Montreal is the second-largest primarily French-speaking city in the developed world, after Paris.Historically the commercial capital of Canada, Montreal was surpassed in population and in economic strength by Toronto in the 1970s. It remains an important centre of commerce, aerospace, transport, finance, pharmaceuticals, technology, design, education, art, culture, tourism, food, fashion, video game development, film, and world affairs. In 2017, Montreal was ranked the 12th-most liveable city in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit in its annual Global Liveability Ranking, although it slipped to rank 40 in the 2021 index, primarily due to stress on the healthcare system from the COVID-19 pandemic. It is regularly ranked as a top ten city in the world to be a university student in the QS World University Rankings.Montreal has hosted multiple international conferences and events, including the 1967 International and Universal Exposition and the 1976 Summer Olympics. It is the only Canadian city to have held the Summer Olympics. In 2018, Montreal was ranked as a global city. The city hosts the Canadian Grand Prix of Formula One since 1978, as well as the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the largest jazz festival in the world, the Just for Laughs festival, the largest comedy festival in the world, and Les Francos de Montréal, which is the largest event devoted exclusively to French-language music anywhere in the world. It is also home to ice hockey team Montreal Canadiens, the franchise with the most Stanley Cup wins.

Vauquelin Square (officially in French: Place Vauquelin) is a small urban square located in Old Montreal.

Hôpital Saint-Luc was a hospital in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at the intersection of Saint Denis Street and René Lévesque Boulevard in the borough of Ville-Marie. It was named in honor of Luke the Evangelist, who is the patron saint of doctors in the Roman Catholic religion.

Saint Antoine Street (officially in French: Rue Saint-Antoine), formerly known as Craig Street, is a street located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It runs to the south of Downtown Montreal and north of Old Montreal and Griffintown and Saint-Henri. It crosses the Quartier international de Montréal. Saint-Antoine Street is primarily a one-way street with traffic running westbound only from Jean d'Estrées Street (exit from the eastbound Ville-Marie expressway) and eastbound only from Square Victoria. Between these two points, the traffic flows in both directions. The western terminus of Saint Antoine Street is at Saint Jacques Street in Saint-Henri. At the east the street leads onto Boulevard Ville-Marie (the street extension of the Ville-Marie expressway) and onto Notre-Dame Street near the Jacques Cartier Bridge.

The five-storey Montreal City Hall (French: Hôtel de Ville de Montréal) is the seat of local government in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was designed by architects Henri-Maurice Perrault and Alexander Cowper Hutchison, and built between 1872 and 1878 in the Second Empire style. It is located in Old Montreal, between Place Jacques-Cartier and the Champ de Mars, at 275 Notre-Dame Street East. The closest Metro station is Champ-de-Mars, on the Orange Line. As one of the best examples of the Second Empire style in Canada, and the first city hall to have been constructed in the country solely for municipal administration, it was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1984.

Hommage à Marguerite Bourgeoys is an outdoor 1988 sculpture and memorial depicting the founder of the Congregation of Notre Dame of Montreal of the same name by Jules Lasalle, installed in Place Marguerite-Bourgeoys, at 85 Notre-Dame Street East, in Montreal.

Nelson's Column (French: colonne Nelson) is a monument, designed by Scottish architect Robert Mitchell and erected in 1809 in Place Jacques-Cartier, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, which is dedicated to the memory of Admiral Horatio Nelson, following his death at the Battle of Trafalgar. Subsequent to the destruction of Nelson's Pillar in Dublin (1808–1966), Montreal's pillar now stands as the second-oldest "Nelson's Column" in the world, after the Nelson Monument in Glasgow. It is also the city's oldest monument and is the oldest war monument in Canada. The public funds raised for building the monument were collected from both British and French Montrealers.

The Palais de justice is a courthouse in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located at 1 Notre-Dame Street East in the Old Montreal neighbourhood of the Ville-Marie borough. It was completed in 1971. Though located in the Old Montreal historic district, it is an international style structure, featuring the outdoor sculpture Allegrocube. The black metal and granite building is adjacent to the Champ de Mars square. It was designed by Montreal architects Pierre Boulva and Jacques David, whose other prominent Montreal projects included 500 Place D'Armes, Théâtre Maisonneuve, the Dow Planetarium and the Place-des-Arts, Atwater and Lucien-L'Allier metro stations.

The Château Ramezay is a museum and historic building on Notre-Dame Street in Old Montreal, opposite Montreal City Hall in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Built in 1705 as the residence of then-governor of Montreal, Claude de Ramezay, the Château was the first building proclaimed as a historical monument in Quebec and is the province's oldest private history museum. It was designated a National Historic Sites of Canada in 1949.Over the years, the Château changed owners and functions several times, with Ramezay's descendants selling the manor to the fur-trading Compagnie des Indes.
