Quigley Catholic High School was located in Baden, Pennsylvania. It was the only Roman Catholic high school in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The school opened in 1967 and was named for Monsignor Thomas J. Quigley. The school closed after nearly 53 years on May 29, 2020.

Byersdale is an unincorporated community in Harmony Township, Pennsylvania, United States. The community is located in Beaver County along Pennsylvania Route 65, directly north of the confluence of the Ohio River and Legionville Run and directly south of Baden. Byersdale is part of the Ambridge Area School District, although the mailing address for Byersdale residents is Baden. Byersdale once boasted an Isaly's dairy store at the corner of Duss Avenue and Dearborn Street. It now has a business district basically confined to one block along Duss Avenue. The biggest business is Baruni's, a restaurant/bar that is in the former location of the Byersdale Hotel.

Legionville (or Legion Ville) was the first formal basic training facility for the military of the United States. The camp, which was established in winter 1792 under the command of Major General Anthony Wayne, was near present-day Baden, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. It was used to train the soldiers which would become the Legion of the United States. Throughout the winter of 1792-93, existing troops along with new recruits were drilled in military skills, tactics and discipline. The following spring the newly named Legion of the United States left Legionville for the Northwest Indian War, a struggle between American Indian tribes affiliated with the Western Confederacy in the area north of the Ohio River. The overwhelmingly successful campaign was concluded with the decisive victory at the Battle of Fallen Timbers on August 20, 1794. The training the troops received at Legionville was seen as instrumental to this victory.

Northern Lights Shopping Center is a strip mall located in Baden, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. It was a major power center-style strip mall from its opening until the early 2000's. A Walmart opened on the adjacent lot to Northern Lights in 2014. Parts of the plaza were demolished in 2018.

Conway is a borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States, located along the Ohio River. At the 2020 census, the borough had a total population of 2,168. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Conway is the site of the Conway Yard, a major railroad classification yard and locomotive facility owned by the Norfolk Southern Railway. From 1956 until 1980, it was the largest rail yard in the world.

Aliquippa station is a former railway station located in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, United States. The station was constructed and used by the now defunct Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad (P&LE). Constructed in 1911, the station has also gone by the name of Woodlawn station because of the former town of Woodlawn that was merged with Aliquippa in the late 1870s. After the station closed to passengers, it was used for several years by the Jones and Laughlin Steel Company as an office building. The structure currently sits vacant just outside the city of Aliquippa. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 as the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Passenger Station, Aliquippa.The former P&LE is now operated by CSX Transportation.

The B.F. Jones Memorial Library is a historic library in Aliquippa, a city in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. Named for steel tycoon Benjamin Franklin Jones, it was built in 1927 with money donated by Jones' daughter.: 5  As a product of the profits of the Jones and Laughlin Steel Company, for which Aliquippa was a company town, it resembled a Carnegie library. Rated a high-quality example of small-scale Renaissance Revival architecture, the two-story library is built primarily of Indiana Limestone with a bronze roof.: 2, 7  Among its leading features are multiple plaster casts, windows of stained glass, carvings in imitation of those made by Italian sculptor Andrea della Robbia, and a large statue of Jones.: 3, 5 In 1978, the library was added to the National Register of Historic Places for its architecture and for its association with Jones in the development of Aliquippa.: 5  The library continues in operation to the present day.

Conway Yard (also known as Conway Terminal) is a major rail yard located in the boroughs of Conway, Pennsylvania, and Freedom, Pennsylvania, 22 miles (35 km) northwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, along the Ohio River. It was the largest freight yard in the world from 1956 until 1980. It is currently owned by Norfolk Southern (NS) and is one of the largest yards in the United States and on the east coast.

Freedom Area Senior High School is a public high school in Freedom, Pennsylvania, United States. It is the only high school in the Freedom Area School District. Athletic teams compete as the Freedom Bulldogs in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League.
