Heidelberg Raceway was an American auto racing track which was built near Heidelberg, Pennsylvania in Scott Township, Allegheny County, approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) southwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It held weekly races and numerous special events between 1948 and 1973. It held four NASCAR Strictly Stock/Grand National Series and one NASCAR Convertible Division race between the 1940s and 1960s. In 1960, Heidelberg became the first track to fall off NASCAR's tour. The land is now occupied by a shopping center called Raceway Plaza.

Scott Township is a township in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 17,024 at the 2010 census.

Woodville, also known as the Neville House or John Neville House, is a house which is located on Washington Pike (PA 50) south of Heidelberg, Pennsylvania. It is significant for its association with John Neville, a tax collector whose other house was burned in the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794. The oldest portion of the house dates to 1775, with a main section built a decade later. It is one of the oldest houses in Allegheny County, preserved and restored to its original condition. For those reasons, it was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1983. After being significantly renovated by an early 19th-century resident, it remained a private house until 1975. Today it is a historic house museum.

Carnegie station is an at-grade busway station operated by Pittsburgh Regional Transit in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. The station is located at the southern terminus of the West Busway and is only served by route G2 West Busway-All Stops. Route G31 Bridgeville Flyer enters and exits the busway just north of this station at Campbells Run Road/Chartiers Avenue and makes stops nearby. The station has a 215-space park and ride lot.

Chartiers Valley High School is a public school that was established in 1959 and is physically located in Collier Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. However, the school's post office address is Bridgeville, PA. The school district serves Collier Township, Bridgeville Borough, Scott Township and Heidelberg Borough. A new high school and middle school complex is being constructed at the site. The new complex will retain its gymnasium, pool and auditorium. The school has an olympic-size indoor swimming pool which is open to the public three evenings a week. A small fee is charged to district residents and non-residents. The school's on-site stadium was home to the professional soccer team Pittsburgh Riverhounds (2008–2012).The school district is named for Chartiers Creek, which flows through and/or forms part of the border for all four regions (Bridgeville, Collier, Heidelberg, and Scott) the district serves. The creek itself is named after Pierre Chartier.

The Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall (also known as the ACFL&MH or "Carnegie Carnegie") is a public library and music hall located at 300 Beechwood Avenue in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. Like hundreds of other Carnegie libraries, the construction of the ACFL&MH, which opened in 1901, was funded by industrialist Andrew Carnegie. The ACFL&MH has been recognized as a historic landmark and appears on the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks and the National Register of Historic Places.

Pitcher Park Memorial Skate Park is a skatepark that was built in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. Members of the community of the South Hills of Pittsburgh undertook a grass roots effort to build this as a memorial to honor two brothers, Vincent and Stephen Pitcher, who drowned together on July 15, 2008, while on a camping trip at the Kinzua Dam next to the Allegheny Reservoir.The skatepark located at Forsythe Road and Cook Lane is approximately 17,000-square-foot (1,600 m2) concrete skatepark It is used by skateboarders, BMX bike riders, & roller bladers. Built by Grindline Skateparks of Seattle, Washington, this is the largest concrete skatepark near or in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania The skatepark boasts a full pipe that is 20 ft in diameter and 24 ft in length in between two bowls with a flowing street section with steps, rails, hubba ledges, quarter pipes, and granite ledges. The location in Carnegie Park, is very accessible by public transportation and located directly off the Parkway West and Interstate 79. This park has become a great asset to many youth & young adults who skateboard, etc. in the surrounding areas. The Tony Hawk Foundation acknowledged the efforts of this community project with a $10,000 grant initially through NewSunRising.org 501c3 who was the sponsor of this grant. Initially, Pitcher Park supporters tried to place this in Dormont, PA, the home town of Vincent & Stephen Pitcher but this effort was unsuccessful. After six years, the park is nearing completion with the installation of lights for early evening skating. The skatepark will then be donated to the Borough of Carnegie. Pitcher Park Memorial Skatepark organization is a Non-Profit & Public Charity.

The Carlynton School District is a small, suburban, public school district located approximately six miles west of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The district covers five square miles, including the Boroughs of Carnegie, Crafton and Rosslyn Farms. From these communities comes the name Carlynton (Carnegie, Rosslyn Farms and Crafton). According to 2000 federal census data, it serves a resident population of 15,559. In 2009, the district residents' per capita income was $22,323, while the median family income was $46,345.
