Renhold is a village and civil parish located on the River Ouse, in the Borough of Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. The parish church is situated some 4 miles (6.5 km) east-north-east of Bedford town centre. The former Bedfordshire County Council estimated the population of Renhold to be 1,800 in 2005, and forecast an increase to 2,320 by 2010. The parish is made up of several hamlets ("Ends" in local parlance) including Salph End, Church End, Lane End, Top End, Workhouse End, and Water End. In the 2000s, two new housing estates were constructed on the southern boundary of Renhold parish. The Spires and Cranbourne Gardens estates have been established off Norse Road in Bedford, with vehicular access from the Goldington area of the town. The new estates remain part Renhold village for electoral purposes. The parish is home to Renhold Chapel, All Saints Church at Church End, and the ruins of Renhold Castle. There is a country house called Howbury Hall in the southern part of the parish. It was rebuilt in 1849, and remains a private home.

Established in 2002 as a merger of Bedford United and US Valerio, the club are currently members of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division and play at McMullen Park. It encompasses much of the historic village and parish of Goldington that was merged with Bedford in 1934, although some parts of the old village are within the neighbouring Newnham ward. It also includes two modern estates that are part of Renhold parish. The boundaries of Goldington are approximately The Spires and Aspire estates to the north, Norse Road to the east, Goldington Road to the south, with Church Lane and Bow Hill to the west. The ground hosted its first Minor Counties Championship match when Bedfordshire played Hertfordshire in 1967. From 1967 to 2003, the ground played host to 32 Minor Counties Championship matches, with the final Minor Counties Championship match played at the ground seeing Bedfordshire host Northumberland. The ground has also hosted 2 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.The ground has also hosted List-A matches, the first played between Bedfordshire and Hampshire in the 1968 Gillette Cup. The ground has hosted 3 List-A matches involving Bedfordshire and a single match with Minor Counties South as the home side against Essex in the 1975 Benson & Hedges Cup.In local domestic cricket, Goldington Bury is the home ground of Bedford Cricket Club and has been since the 1930s. The club was known under the name of Bedford Town Cricket Club until 2006, when it ceased operating, before reforming under its current name.

Goldington Power Station was a 180 MW coal-fired electricity generating station located to the east of Bedford in Bedfordshire, England. It was commissioned in 1955 and closed in 1983 and was demolished during 1984–87.

Newnham is an electoral ward and area within the town of Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. The boundaries of Newnham are approximately Goldington Road to the north, the River Great Ouse to the south and east, with Denmark Street and George Street to the west. The Riverfield housing estate, and Bedford's Priory Country Park and Marina are within the boundaries of Newnham ward as well as a number of other key facilities for Bedford town. After boundary changes in 2011, the Newnham area also includes the western section of the Castle Road neighbourhood.

Cople Pits is a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) nature reserve in Cople in Bedfordshire. It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.The site has eleven long water-filled pits from gravel extraction in the 1930s, which are now surrounded by willow and hawthorn scrub. The pits have been colonised by aquatic plants. Fauna include dragonflies, kingfishers and woodpeckers, and there is also a wildflower meadow.There is access by a short footpath from Willington Road, adjacent to All Saints Road.

Renhold Castle also known as Howbury, earthwork at Water End Farm, was a medieval castle located in the village of Renhold, in the hundred of Barford, in the county of Bedfordshire, England. Renhold Castle was a timber motte-and-bailey castle, encased by a moat. It was located 4 miles east of Bedford Castle and a mile south of Great Barford Castle. Only earthworks remain at the site, which is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
