Haskins, Ohio

Hull Prairie is an unincorporated community in Wood County, in the U.S. state of Ohio.

The Dodge Site is an archaeological site in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. Located north of Bowling Green in Wood County, the site was inhabited by Middle Woodland and Upper Mississippian peoples. Among the artifacts discovered at the site are ceramics and stone tools. The site's stratigraphy is obvious: the Middle Woodland village site and cemetery can easily be distinguished from the Upper Mississippian occupation zone that sits on top of it. While only a small portion of the 2.2 acre (0.89 ha) site has been excavated, the artifacts that have been discovered at Dodge have contributed significantly to an understanding of the western basin of Lake Erie around AD 1300. Enough material has been recovered to facilitate radiometric dating, as well as identifying the peoples who once inhabited the site. The excavations also revealed the intensity of occupation: the Middle Woodland layer was substantially larger than the exceptionally thin Upper Mississippian component.In 1978, the National Park Service recognized the Dodge Site's archaeological value by listing it on the National Register of Historic Places. Five years later, owners Henry Dodge and his wife donated the site to The Archaeological Conservancy in the interests of preservation.

The Interurban Bridge, also known as the Ohio Electric Railroad Bridge. is a historic interurban railway reinforced concrete multiple arch bridge built in 1908 to span the Maumee River joining Lucas and Wood counties near Waterville, Ohio. The span was once the world's largest earth-filled reinforced concrete bridge. One of the bridge's supports rests on the Roche de Boeuf, a historic Indian council rock, which was partially destroyed by the bridge's construction. The bridge, which is no longer in use, is a popular subject for photographers and painters, who view it from Farnsworth Metropark.

Farnsworth Metropark is a regional park in Waterville, Ohio, owned and operated by Metroparks Toledo. The long narrow parks sits on the western shore of the Maumee River with a view of several islands, including Missionary, Butler and Indian islands, all of which are owned by the State of Ohio.

Middleton Township is one of the nineteen townships of Wood County, Ohio, United States. The 2020 census found 5,611 people in the township.

Waterville is a city in Lucas County, Ohio, United States, along the Maumee River. A suburb of Toledo, the population was 6,003 at the 2020 census.

WRQN is an American radio station licensed to broadcast from Bowling Green, Ohio. Though licensed to Bowling Green, its primary market and its studios are in the nearby city of Toledo. The station broadcasts at 93.5 on the FM dial, and plays classic hits music. Its transmitter is located near Haskins, Ohio.

Tontogany is a village in Wood County, Ohio, United States. The population was 387 at the 2020 census. Every Fall the village holds a festival called "ToganyFest" And gathers many people in the county.

The Nawash-Kinjoano Reservation was an Ottawa reservation located along the Maumee River in Northwestern Ohio until slightly after 1830. The reservation consisted of the villages of Nawash and Kinjoano on the north side of the Maumee. There was also a village of Tontogany on the south side of the Maumee which was not part of the reservation but was inhabited by Ottawas as well. The reservation essentially stretched from just west of Waterville, Ohio to slightly east of Prairie Damascus, Ohio. The reservation was established in 1807 and dissolved in 1831.

The school district serves students who live in the Wood County villages of Tontogany, Haskins, Grand Rapids, and Weston, Ohio; all or parts of the townships of Grand Rapids, Middleton, Milton, Washington, and Weston; and a small portion of Lucas County in Providence Township. The superintendent is Adam Koch.

Otsego High School is a high school in the village of Tontogany, Ohio, United States. Students are from the general region of Weston, Grand Rapids, Middleton and Washington Townships and the Villages of Weston, Grand Rapids, Tontogany and Haskins. Though the student body is quite small, there are many open enrollment students.
