Darby Township is one of the fourteen townships of Union County, Ohio, United States. The 2020 census found 2,397 people in the township.

The Reed Bridge, near Marysville, Ohio, was a Partridge truss covered bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.It was a single-span wooden bridge which spanned Big Darby Creek.It was built by Reuben Partridge in 1884 and spanned over 150 feet (46 m). It was the longest covered bridge in Union County. It was located 3.5 miles south of Marysville off State Route 38 in Darby Township, Union County, Ohio. It was bypassed by Route 38 in the 1960s. The bridge collapsed on August 19, 1993.

Chuckery is an unincorporated community located in far southwestern Darby Township, Union County, Ohio, United States. It is located at 40°06′42″N 83°23′26″W, at the intersection of State Routes 38 and 161.

At Bridgeport, Buck Run meets the Big Darby Creek,: 57  which meets the Scioto River at Circleville.: 68  It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Marysville, the county seat of Union County.: 57 

Dipple is an unincorporated community in Paris Township, Union County, Ohio, United States. It is located about 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Marysville along U.S. Route 33 where Scottslawn Road intersects with the railroad tracks, at 40°12′08″N 83°19′01″W. The location of the original community is now wholly located on the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company property.

Bigelow Bridge (regionally known as Axe Handle Road Bridge) is one of six historic covered bridges in Union County, Ohio. It is located at 40°06′58″N 83°25′30″W, on Axe Handle Road just north of Ohio State Route 161 between Irwin and Chuckery, and crosses over the Little Darby Creek. The wooden truss bridge was built in 1873 by Reuben Partridge, and named for Eliphas Bigelow, a nearby resident. It was refurbished including the addition of internal steel supports in 1990, and repainted in July 2008.In November 2010, a historical marker was dedicated on the site by the Ohio Historical Society, honoring Bigelow Bridge and the surrounding Darby Plains region.

This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned MRT by the FAA, but has no designation from the IATA (which assigned MRT to Moroak, Northern Territory, Australia).
