Avondale is an unincorporated community in southwestern Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio, United States. Located just northwest of Canton and north of Meyers Lake, its altitude is 1,135 feet (346 m).The community is part of the Canton–Massillon Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Buckeye Council is a local council of the Boy Scouts of America that serves Ohio and parts of northern West Virginia. Headquartered in Canton, Ohio, Buckeye Council serves more than 10,000 scouts and has more than 4,000 campers participate in its successful summer camp programs.

McKinley Senior High School is a public high school in Canton, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Canton City School District and has two campuses: Downtown Campus (mostly known as Early College High School or Timken High School) and the main campus, which is known as McKinley Senior High School. Athletic teams compete as the Canton McKinley Bulldogs in the Ohio High School Athletic Association as a member of the Federal League.

Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, formerly Fawcett Stadium, is a football stadium and entertainment complex in Canton, Ohio. It is a major component of Hall of Fame Village, located adjacent to the grounds of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The venue hosts the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Game and serves as the home field for the football teams from Canton McKinley High School. It also served as the home field for Malone University from 1993 to 2018 and Walsh University from 1998 to 2022. It also served as the home stadium for a number of other Canton-area high schools. The stadium was constructed as a replacement for League Field, the city's previous stadium, where Canton's professional football team, the Bulldogs, played many of their games. First dedicated as Fawcett Stadium in 1938, the stadium's original name honored the memory of John A. Fawcett, a former Canton board of education member, who died several years before the stadium was completed. On November 24, 2014, it was announced that Tom Benson, owner of the New Orleans Saints, would be donating $11 million to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, $10 million of which was to go into renovating Fawcett Stadium and recouping the money by renting use of the stadium. In response to Benson's donation, the Hall of Fame announced that Fawcett Stadium would be renamed Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, which was dedicated on August 3, 2017. Benson died less than a year later, on March 15, 2018. The renovation of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium was part of the approximately $200 million construction completed in Phase I of the Hall of Fame Village expansion project.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game is an annual National Football League (NFL) exhibition game in Canton, Ohio, held the weekend of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's induction ceremonies. The game is played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, part of Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls and located adjacent to the Hall of Fame building. The first game was played in 1962, when ground was broken for the hall of fame.

Opened on September 7, 1963, the Hall of Fame enshrines exceptional figures in the sport of professional football, including players, coaches, franchise owners, and front-office personnel, almost all of whom made their primary contributions to the game in the National Football League (NFL). As of the Class of 2022, there are a total of 362 members of the Hall of Fame. Members are referred to as "Gold Jackets" due to the distinctive gold jackets they receive during the induction ceremony. Between four and eight new inductees are normally enshrined every year. For the 2020 class, an additional 15 members, known as the "Centennial Slate", were inducted into the Hall of Fame to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the NFL.The Chicago Bears have the most inductees, with 30.

West Lawn Cemetery is in Canton, Ohio, adjacent to the McKinley National Memorial. It was the original resting place of William McKinley until his memorial was built, and has graves of other notable Cantonians.

Canton Country Day School, (commonly referred to as CCDS), is an independent day school in Canton, Ohio. The school founded in 1964 as part of the Country Day School movement, with the aim of combining innovation with a superior elementary education dedicated to the liberal arts. It is the only non-sectarian independent PreK-8 school in Stark County, Ohio. The school has been recognized by the Blue Ribbon Schools Program, the highest award an American school can receive.The curriculum includes Language Arts / Social Studies, Science, Mathematics (including Algebra I and Geometry), Spanish, Music, Art, Public Speaking, Physical Education, and creative movement. The school's financial aid policy has allowed the school to attract a diverse student body. Canton Country Day School also participates in helping other kids across the world. In 2008, the school participated in Books of Hope, sending many books and some money to the Koch Goma school in Africa.

Aultman Hospital is a non-profit hospital located in Canton, Ohio, United States. It is the largest hospital and the largest employer, with over 5000 employees, in Stark County. In January 1890, Mrs. Elizabeth Harter, daughter of Cornelius Aultman, purchased 4.5 acres (1.8 ha) of land in the southwest end of Canton. The hospital opened on January 17, 1892. In 1925, the Harter Building was constructed, adding 100 beds to the 40-room hospital. The McKinley Building opened in 1944, expanding the facility by another 106 beds. Three years later, another 117 beds were added by the opening of the Harter Annex. In 1954, the Main Building and the Morrow House were completed. The Main Building replaced the hospital's original structure and included 139 additional beds. Currently, the hospital boasts 1032 beds and 530 active physicians in 43 specialties. Aultman runs a Preferred Provider Organization, AultCare.

WILB, the Living Bread Radio Network, is an AM radio station in Canton, Ohio, United States, that offers Catholic programming to the Canton, Akron and Cleveland areas. The station broadcasts daytime only with a power of 15,000 watts on 1060 kHz, making it the largest Catholic radio signal in the state of Ohio. Much of the station's programming is supplied by EWTN Radio. The station also produces many local programs and features. Due WILB sharing the same frequency as clear channel station KYW in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it broadcasts during daytime hours only. However, listeners in the Canton vicinity can turn to the stations translator, 94.5 FM - to listen to programming during these interrupted hours. The station also broadcasts online via their respective mobile app. Similar programming is heard on sister station, 'WILB-FM'. Which is licensed to Boardman, Ohio, serving the Youngstown market. 'WILB-FM' began operations in March of 2012, as a 'new sign-on'.

The McKinley National Memorial in Canton, Ohio, United States, is the final resting place of William McKinley, who served as the 25th president of the United States from 1897 to his assassination in 1901. Canton was a significant place in McKinley's life; he lived there, practiced as an attorney, and conducted his political campaigns from the town.

The William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum is the presidential library of 25th U.S. president William McKinley. The library, which is located at the foot of the McKinley National Memorial, is owned and operated by the Stark County Historical Society, and located in Canton, Ohio, where McKinley built his career as lawyer, prosecuting attorney, congressman, governor and president. The museum contains the largest collection of McKinley artifacts in the world and chronicles the life and career of the 25th president, from his birth to his death at the hands of an assassin. Another exhibit also explores the construction of the Memorial and the unfortunate fate of the McKinley’s Canton home, destroyed by fire in 1937. As for the Museum itself it boasts a science center with some wildlife and fossils. The museum has a temporary exhibit space called the Keller gallery. The museum also has an planetarium show. Because of the science center, the museum has a membership plan that lets the member access other museums meeting the same criteria throughout the United States. The museum also houses other artifacts on the surrounding city. The museum largely relies on volunteer staff for its operations. The current curator is Kimberly Kenney.
