Hundred of Adelaide

Mitcham was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from 1938 to 1993. The district was based in the south-eastern suburbs of Adelaide. Mitcham was one of just three metropolitan seats (with Burnside and Torrens) won by the Liberal and Country League in 1965 and 1968. Mitcham is the only single-member lower house seat in any Parliament in Australia to be won by the Australian Democrats. Mitcham was superseded by Waite at the 1993 state election.

The Urrbrae Wetland is a constructed urban wetland in the Australian state of South Australia located in the suburb of Urrbrae in the Adelaide metropolitan area. It was constructed to manage flood water from the nearby Adelaide Hills and has been developed to provide ecological and educational benefits. The wetland covers approximately 6 hectares of land which is onsite of Urrbrae Agricultural High School. The area of water is approximately 4 hectares and when full, contains approximately 13.5 million litres of water.

Concordia College (CC) is an ELC-12 private, co-educational Lutheran school located in Highgate, Adelaide, South Australia. Established in 1890, the College is a school of the Lutheran Church of Australia and has been an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School since January 2001, offering the IB Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Concordia is a Latin word meaning "harmony".

Urrbrae Agricultural High School is a public high school in the Australian state of South Australia, with approximately 1,016 students. The school is located in the Adelaide suburb of Netherby, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south-east of the Adelaide city centre. It is adjacent to the Waite Agricultural Research Institute of the University of Adelaide, the CSIRO Agricultural Research facilities in the suburb of Urrbrae, and various other agricultural and horticultural facilities established by Peter Waite, the University of Adelaide, and the South Australian state government. The school is designated as a Special Interest School in Agriculture and the Environment, and is the only comprehensive special interest agricultural secondary school in South Australia. Its courses are strongly focused on agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, aquaculture, environmental aspects of the earth, and other environmental subjects. In those aspects, it awards certificates. Urrbrae also has a strong science and technology background, with extensive technology workshops, and many related courses available to students; (e.g. environmental technology and automotive technology). It also offers education programs for adults, and houses a TAFE campus. Urrbrae Agricultural High School has an application process for students in Year 6 (before 2022 year 7) who wish to attend Urrbrae in their secondary school years. Unlike most public schools, Urrbrae is not part of the zonal system, and does not necessarily accept students based on where they live; being the only comprehensive special interest agricultural secondary school in the State, it has students from all over the state. Students from country and distant areas often board locally, and many students travel long distances to school. The campus includes a 35 hectare farm, (total size including farm, wetland, school and TAFE is 45 hectares) and year 10 Urrbrae students give tours to visiting students from other schools. Urrbrae also has a swimming pool, a rock climbing wall, asphalt tennis courts and playing fields. A large corner of the site has been turned into a wetland, which is open to other schools to visit.

Highgate Park, more commonly known by its former name the Julia Farr Centre, was a hospital and care facility for disabled people in Fullarton, South Australia, founded in 1879 as the Home for Incurables. It closed in April 2020.

Kingswood is a suburb of the Australian city of Adelaide in the City of Mitcham. It is bordered in the west by Belair Road, to the north by Cross Road, to the south by Princes Road and to the east by Smith Dorrien Street. Kingswood was established in 1945 as a formal proposal by the City of Mitcham to "eliminate superfluous subdivisions names" as requested by the Surveyor General of South Australia. At establishment, it consisted of the sub-divisions of Kingswood Estate, Kingswood Park, Mitchemville and a portion of Old Mitcham. In February 2003, it was enlarged by the addition of portions of the adjoining suburbs of Netherby and Mitcham.The suburb is the home of Mitcham Primary School and Mitcham Girls High School, an unzoned government public girls school. Unley High School in adjacent Netherby is the local zone secondary school.

Mitcham Girls High School, located in Kingswood, is the only single-sex government high school in the state of South Australia. It has approximately 850 students in grades 7 to 13. As the school is unzoned, it attracts students from all across the Adelaide metropolitan area as well as some regional locations.

Malvern is an inner-southern suburb of Adelaide in the City of Unley. It borders the suburbs of Unley and Parkside to the north, Highgate to the east, Kingswood to the south and Unley Park to the west. Many Malvern streets are planted with jacaranda trees, a non-native evergreen species, giving a shady aspect to the area in conjunction with the predominant architectural style of single-storey colonial villas.Many of its streets are named after places in the United Kingdom, including Dover, Sheffield, and Cambridge.

Australian Dance Theatre (ADT), known as Meryl Tankard Australian Dance Theatre 1993–1999, is a contemporary dance company based in Adelaide, South Australia, established in 1965 by Dr. Elizabeth Cameron Dalman OAM. The ADT was the first modern dance company in Australia, and drew on the techniques of Martha Graham for its inspiration. The company has garnered 28 industry awards since 2002, was the first Australian company invited to the Edinburgh Festival, and is the only Australian company to be invited to perform at Théâtre de la Ville in Paris. The company has toured performances extensively throughout Australia as well as internationally. As of 2022 the artistic director of the company is Daniel Riley, who took over after Garry Stewart had spent 22 years at the helm.

Netherby is an inner-southern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia which lies within the City of Mitcham. It is bordered by the suburbs of Springfield, Kingswood, Mitcham and Malvern. Netherby is located within walking distance of Mitcham Square Shopping Centre and sports facilities.

Mitcham Square Shopping Centre is a shopping mall in the City of Mitcham, located on Belair Road, Torrens Park, an inner southern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It consists of 55 retail and food outlets, two supermarkets, Foodland and Woolworths, a seven screen cinema, operated by Wallis Cinemas, along with many specialty shops including Mitcham Square Newsagency which has been owned and operated by the same family for over 27 years. In 2004, a fire destroyed the original centre, leading to a A$60 million redevelopment.
