Pataskala, Ohio

Columbia Center is a historic neighborhood of the city of Pataskala in Licking County, Ohio, United States. It lies slightly more than 1 mile (1.6 km) west of Pataskala's downtown.

Bethel Baptist Church is a historic church in Pataskala, Ohio. It was built in 1855 in the early Romanesque Revival style. It is the oldest church in the city of Pataskala, and was added to the National Register in 1983.

The Pataskala Jail, off Main St. in Pataskala, Ohio, in Licking County, Ohio, was constructed in 1892 by the village of Pataskala as its first jail. The structure was originally located at the corner of Front and Poplar Streets, “on the north side of Front Street, halfway between Main Street and Township Road.” The jail was disestablished in 1916. In 1978 the structure was moved to its current location on South Main Street. The Pataskala Jail was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 22, 1983.It was listed on the National Register as a follow-on to a 1980 study of historic resources in Pataskala.

Etna (formerly Carthage) is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Licking County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 1,209. It lies at an elevation of 1,069 feet (326 m) at the intersection of U.S. Route 40 and State Route 310. It was listed as a census-designated place in 2010.

Etna Township is one of the 25 townships of Licking County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 18,896.

The Licking Heights Local School District is a local Ohio public school district straddling Franklin and Licking counties. Licking Heights has established a strong partnership with META/Facebook, resulting in state-of-the-art STEM labs within the high and middle school buildings.

Watkins Memorial High School is a public high school located in Etna Township, southeast of Pataskala, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Southwest Licking Local School District, which was formed in 1950 by the merger of the Etna Township, Kirkersville, and Pataskala one room K-12 buildings. Athletic teams are known as the Warriors and school colors are black and gold. The school was named in memory of Dr. Watkins who served the community for years. The school's biggest sports rival is Lickings Heights High School. The yearly football game between the Watkins Warriors and the Licking Heights Hornets is referred to as "The Battle for Broad Street". Broad street, or State Route 16, runs through Pataskala and whichever team wins this game has a small dead-end road next to the Town Hall named in their honor, either Warrior Way or Hornet Way, for the year until the next Watkins/Heights game. Watkins Middle School is located next to the high school. The students that attend Watkins Memorial High School live in the city of Pataskala, and the following three townships: Kirkersville Township, Etna Township, and Harrison Township, all of which are in the second largest county in Ohio's 12th Congressional District, Licking County.
