Ahane (Irish: Áthán) is a small townland approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) west/northwest of Brosna village in County Kerry. It is close to the border with County Limerick. The area consists mostly of dairy farms. As of the 2011 census, it had a population of 32 people in 11 houses. Ahane townland is in the historic barony of Trughanacmy, and has an area of approximately 2.5 square kilometres (1 sq mi).

It is also a civil parish and townland.Duagh is a dormitory village for Listowel and Abbeyfeale and a local service centre for the rural hinterland. There is one shop, three public houses, two housing estates, a hardware store and petrol station/shop which are located on the village's only street at the centre of the village. Social facilities include a church and heritage/community hall and a Gaelic Athletic Association Club located at the centre of the village. The local primary school is also located in the village centre.

Purt Castle or Port Castle (Irish: Caisleán Phort Trí Namhad) is a ruined Geraldine castle near Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, Ireland. The castle is known variously as 'Purt Castle', 'Port Castle', or 'Portrinard Castle' in sources.The remains of the castle are situated in the townland of Port (Irish: Port Trí Namhad) about 2 km northwest of the town of Abbeyfeale, on the north bank of the River Feale.Originally built by the Earls of Desmond in the 15th century, a plaque on the site indicates that it was destroyed c. 1580 during the Second Desmond Rebellion. Only fragmentary remains of the rectangular tower house still stand.

Fr. Caseys GAA Club is an Irish Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Abbeyfeale on the border of Kerry and Limerick. Gaelic football is the club's main sport. Established in 1884 by Father William Casey, Fr. Caseys GAA Club has been one of the most successful clubs in the history of Limerick Gaelic Games. Fr. Caseys GAA Club have won the Limerick Senior Football Championship on 8 occasions and contributed many players to the Limerick county teams over the years. In addition to their Senior triumphs Fr. Caseys have also enjoyed numerous Intermediate, Junior, U21, Minor and Underage successes during their history. Rugby internationals Phil Danaher and Séamus Dennison both played football for the club. Father Casey's most recent Limerick senior title came in 2006, when the team defeated St. Senan's by two points in the final at the Gaelic Grounds.

Coláiste Íde agus Iosef (colloquially referred to as CII) is a public secondary school in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, Ireland. It was founded as a community college in 2011 and its catchment area extends into the counties of Limerick, Kerry and Cork.

Crag Cave is a cave in Ireland, located just outside Castleisland, County Kerry. Formed in elevated limestone rock, the system extends to 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi) of surveyed passage, on two levels. It is the 7th-longest cave system in the Republic of Ireland, and the 10th-longest in the whole of Ireland.

Dooneen (Irish: An Dúinín) is a townland approximately two miles north of Castleisland, County Kerry on the N21 road to Limerick. Dooneen Wood and Castleisland golf course are situated in the area. Journalist Con Houlihan was born in Dooneen.Dooneen is also the name of Dooneen Point, also in County Kerry, and two townlands in County Clare.

Cordal (Irish: Cordal) is a village and electoral division in County Kerry, Ireland. The townlands of Cordal East and Cordal West are in the civil parish of Ballincuslane and the historical barony of Trughanacmy. As of the 2011 census, Cordal East and Cordal West had populations of 115 and 117 residents respectively.
