Norte Vista High School is a high school in Riverside, California, part of the Alvord Unified School District, and the home of the Norte Vista Braves.

Camp Anza was a United States Army installation, in what is now Riverside, California, during World War II. Construction began on July 3, 1942, and was completed on February 15, 1943. The camp was named after Juan Bautista de Anza, an early explorer who camped near the site in 1774. The US Army purchased the 1,240-acre site from the Willits J. Hole Ranch (1910–1942), a barley and wheat farm. Before 1910 the land was part of Rancho La Sierra (1797–1910).The post was activated on December 2, 1942, initially designated as Arlington Staging Area and Arlington Special Training Center, and renamed Camp Anza on December 12, 1942. Camp Anza was a large army base with 512 buildings housing 20,000 troops. Over 600,000 troops were processed over the three years of use. The camp had over a hundred wood barracks. Also Built were: headquarters, recreation rooms, chapel, laundry building, Southern Pacific Railroad station, library, fire station, newspaper print room (Anza Zip), 2,000 seat outdoor theater, water storage tower, motor pool, heating plant, and mess halls. Bob Hope, Jack Benny and Eddie Cantor often entertained troops there. The Pepsodent Show Starring Bob Hope, a radio shows was broadcast from the camp one night. Most troops at the camp were shipped out at the Los Angeles Port of Embarkation at Camp Ross. Before departing troops had immunizations, gas masks training, complete a will, rope ladder climbing training, recorded personal property, and at Hole Lake abandoned ship training. Possessing took eight to ten days before shipping out to the Pacific War. On August, 1945 returning troops started to arrive at Camp Anza. To serve the troops the camp also had a camp hospital. The 8th Italian Quartermaster Service Company, one of many Italian Service Units worked at Camp Anza. Camp Anza was deactivated on March 31, 1946.Philip H. Philbin Jr. purchased the camp in 1948 for $510,000. Philbin sold off much of the camp. Six local schools starting using the former camp. The street layout of the camp kept. A housing subdivision called Anza Village and Arlanza Neighborhood was built on the land. Today there remains: a few barracks, chapel, the headquarters, laundry facility, officer's club and warehouse, all reused building. La Sierra Academy (LSA) is a private, co-educational, transitional kindergarten–12th grade Christian school in Riverside, California. La Sierra Academy's mission statement states: "As a Christian K - 12 college preparatory school, we serve students from diverse backgrounds by providing the learning opportunities and skills needed to contribute to society, to prepare for life's work, and to flourish spiritually." LSA is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the world's second largest Christian school system.

La Sierra High School, located in Riverside, California, United States, is a public high school in the Alvord Unified School District that was founded on August 28, 1969. Tania Cabeza is the principal. La Sierra High School's official school colors are navy blue and white. Red is the accent color and has been since the school opened. The two main feeder schools for La Sierra High are Arizona and Villegas intermediate schools. La Sierra's rivals are Norte Vista and Hillcrest, the other public high schools in Alvord Unified.

La Sierra University (La Sierra or LSU) is a private, Seventh-day Adventist university in Riverside, California. Founded in 1922 as La Sierra Academy, it later became La Sierra College, a liberal arts college, and then was merged into Loma Linda University (LLU) in 1967 and became the Loma Linda University La Sierra College of Arts and Sciences (or better known as La Sierra Campus of LLU). In 1990, the La Sierra Campus separated from Loma Linda University to become La Sierra University, an independent institution. It is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA), and several discipline-based accrediting bodies.Since becoming independent in 1990, La Sierra University has won multiple national and world titles in the Enactus (formerly Students in Free Enterprise) competition. In the late 2000s and early 2010s, controversy arose involving the teaching of evolution in La Sierra's science curriculum. La Sierra was founded in 1922 when the Southeastern California Conference, one of the regional governing bodies of the Adventist church, obtained 300 acres (120 ha) of land in an unincorporated area of Riverside County from Willits J. Hole. The land was once a part of a large Mexican land grant named Rancho La Sierra, giving La Sierra its current name.

Galleria at Tyler, formerly known as Tyler Mall, is a shopping mall located in Riverside, California, features JCPenney, and Macy's, in addition to Furniture City and an AMC Theatres.

Castle Park, formerly Castle Amusement Park, is a 25-acre amusement park and family amusement center located in Riverside, California. The park utilizes a medieval "castle" theme and includes attractions such as a miniature golf course, arcade, and 22 amusement rides including two roller coasters such as Merlin's Revenge, a junior rollercoaster, and Screamin' Demon, a spinning Wild Mouse rollercoaster. The main "castle" themed building, houses the arcade as well as its only dark ride, "Ghost Blasters", an interactive attraction, designed by Sally Corporation, which can also be found at other amusement parks throughout North America. The park was designed, built and operated by Bud Hurlbut, who designed several rides at Knott's Berry Farm. Castle Park is currently owned and operated by Palace Entertainment.

Riverside–La Sierra station is a Metrolink commuter rail train station in the La Sierra South neighborhood of Riverside, California, United States. Due to its large parking lot, it is the second-largest station served by Metrolink in surface area, after Union Station. La Sierra University is located a few miles from the station.The station is owned by the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC).

The Arlington Branch Library and Fire Hall, in Riverside, California, is a historic library and a fire station which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.The Classical Revival library was built in 1908 and renovated in 1927–28. It was originally designed by architect Seeley L. Pillar (1865-1968), and architect G. Stanley Wilson (1879-1958) designed the renovations.

Arlington is a community about seven miles southwest of Riverside, California that is part of the Inland Empire, which is east of the Los Angeles and Orange County metropolitan areas. With a population of about 12,300, the major commercial hub of Arlington is centered on Magnolia Avenue, a major east-west thoroughfare that connects the community with Downtown Riverside to the east and the Corona area to the west. Arlington is common as a place name in the United States, with other significant communities bearing the same name in Virginia (near Washington D.C.) and Texas. The Southern California location was apparently so named in an 1877 meeting of early residents. At the time, the nation's union Civil War dead were being commemorated through frequent use of the place name, in honor of Arlington National Cemetery.

Riverside Municipal Airport (Riverside Arlington Airport, decades ago) (IATA: RAL, ICAO: KRAL, FAA LID: RAL), is four miles (6 km) southwest of downtown Riverside, the county seat of Riverside County, California, United States.Scheduled flights to Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport (Arizona) on Western Express Air ended when that airline ceased operations at the end of May 2007.Runway 9/27 was paved about 1956 and Bonanza Air Lines appeared soon after; until 1969 it and successor Air West flew DC-3s and Fairchild F-27s to LAX, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and beyond. Golden West Airlines served Riverside in the 1970s with nonstop and direct de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otters to LAX. Riverside Municipal Airport has been home to Civil Air Patrol Squadron 5 since 2005. In 2013, FedEx Express, a cargo airline, donated a Boeing 727-200F to California Baptist University for its new aviation science program. The aircraft is on permanent display at the airport and provides a working laboratory for aviation science students. The aircraft, N266FE (cn 21672/1538), is a Boeing 727-233/Adv(F).

Pedley was a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 12,672 at the 2010 census, up from 11,207 at the 2000 census. On July 1, 2011, the CDP became part of the City of Jurupa Valley.
