Martha McLean – Anza Narrows is a 40-acre (0.16 km2; 0.063 sq mi) regional park located along the Santa Ana River in Riverside, California, United States. The park is operated by the City of Riverside - Parks Recreation and Community Services Department. A plaque in the northwest corner of the park marks the point at which the Juan Bautista de Anza party, the first Europeans to traverse the Riverside area, crossed the river in 1774 and again in 1776.

Camp Anza was a United States Army installation, in what is now Riverside, California, during World War II. Construction began on July 3, 1942, and was completed on February 15, 1943. The camp was named after Juan Bautista de Anza, an early explorer who camped near the site in 1774. The US Army purchased the 1,240-acre site from the Willits J. Hole Ranch (1910–1942), a barley and wheat farm. Before 1910 the land was part of Rancho La Sierra (1797–1910).The post was activated on December 2, 1942, initially designated as Arlington Staging Area and Arlington Special Training Center, and renamed Camp Anza on December 12, 1942. Camp Anza was a large army base with 512 buildings housing 20,000 troops. Over 600,000 troops were processed over the three years of use. The camp had over a hundred wood barracks. Also Built were: headquarters, recreation rooms, chapel, laundry building, Southern Pacific Railroad station, library, fire station, newspaper print room (Anza Zip), 2,000 seat outdoor theater, water storage tower, motor pool, heating plant, and mess halls. Bob Hope, Jack Benny and Eddie Cantor often entertained troops there. The Pepsodent Show Starring Bob Hope, a radio shows was broadcast from the camp one night. Most troops at the camp were shipped out at the Los Angeles Port of Embarkation at Camp Ross. Before departing troops had immunizations, gas masks training, complete a will, rope ladder climbing training, recorded personal property, and at Hole Lake abandoned ship training. Possessing took eight to ten days before shipping out to the Pacific War. On August, 1945 returning troops started to arrive at Camp Anza. To serve the troops the camp also had a camp hospital. The 8th Italian Quartermaster Service Company, one of many Italian Service Units worked at Camp Anza. Camp Anza was deactivated on March 31, 1946.Philip H. Philbin Jr. purchased the camp in 1948 for $510,000. Philbin sold off much of the camp. Six local schools starting using the former camp. The street layout of the camp kept. A housing subdivision called Anza Village and Arlanza Neighborhood was built on the land. Today there remains: a few barracks, chapel, the headquarters, laundry facility, officer's club and warehouse, all reused building. The YMCA Building is a structure in downtown Riverside, California, that has been used for various functions over the years; currently, it is the Life Arts Center. The Life Arts Center rents its three halls on the main floor for wedding receptions, business events, graduations and quinceañeras. The top floor has 25 studios rented by artists. These were once the hotel rooms rented to guests by YMCA. The bottom floor, which was a gymnasium, is now vacant. The building was designed in the style of an Italian Renaissance palazzo. In 1980, the building was granted historic status by the city and designated as city landmark #41.

Norte Vista High School is a high school in Riverside, California, part of the Alvord Unified School District, and the home of the Norte Vista Braves.

California Baptist University (Cal Baptist or CBU) is a private Baptist Christian university in Riverside, California. Founded in 1950 as California Baptist College, it is affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention, an organization affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. CBU is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission.

James W. Totman Stadium is a baseball venue in Riverside, California, United States. It is home to the California Baptist Lancers baseball team of the NCAA Division I Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The field's namesake is James W. Totman, a former local contractor.

Sherman Indian High School (SIHS) is an off-reservation boarding high school for Native Americans. Originally opened in 1892 as the Perris Indian School, in Perris, California, the school was relocated to Riverside, California, in 1903, under the name Sherman Institute. When the school was accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges in 1971, it became known as Sherman Indian High School. Operated by the Bureau of Indian Education/Bureau of Indian Affairs and the United States Department of the Interior, the school serves grades 9 through 12. The school mascot is the Brave and the school colors are purple and yellow. There are seven dormitory facilities on the SIHS grounds. The male facilities are Wigwam, Ramona, and Kiva. Female facilities are Wauneka, Dawaki, and Winona. The last dorm is a transition dorm, Hogan. In addition to the seven dorms, there is also a set of 13 honor apartments named Sunset. Only four dorms are available for students to live in including Wigwam, Ramona, Wauneka and Winona.

Arlington is a community about seven miles southwest of Riverside, California that is part of the Inland Empire, which is east of the Los Angeles and Orange County metropolitan areas. With a population of about 12,300, the major commercial hub of Arlington is centered on Magnolia Avenue, a major east-west thoroughfare that connects the community with Downtown Riverside to the east and the Corona area to the west. Arlington is common as a place name in the United States, with other significant communities bearing the same name in Virginia (near Washington D.C.) and Texas. The Southern California location was apparently so named in an 1877 meeting of early residents. At the time, the nation's union Civil War dead were being commemorated through frequent use of the place name, in honor of Arlington National Cemetery.

The Arlington Branch Library and Fire Hall, in Riverside, California, is a historic library and a fire station which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.The Classical Revival library was built in 1908 and renovated in 1927–28. It was originally designed by architect Seeley L. Pillar (1865-1968), and architect G. Stanley Wilson (1879-1958) designed the renovations.

The Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center (formerly known as CBU Events Center) is a sports arena in Riverside, California. It opened in 2017 and has a capacity of 5,050.The 153,000-square-feet facility is home to the Cal Baptist Lancers men's and women's basketball teams as well as select matches for the women's volleyball and men's wrestling teams. The arena replaced Van Dyne Gym for men's and women's basketball as part of the Lancers' transition to Division I. The women's volleyball team and men's wrestling team use Van Dyne Gym as their main venue.In addition to athletic events, the arena also hosts CBU's chapel program, student orientation activities and commencement ceremonies.In February 2023 the arena was re-named in honor of Dale E. Fowler and his wife Sarah Ann Fowler in recognition of the couple's $28.5 million donation to the university.

Ramona High School is a high school in Riverside, California, United States, part of the Riverside Unified School District, and the home of the Ramona Rams. Ramona graduated its first class of students in 1958. Ramona has been designated as a "National Demonstration School" for the AVID Program.

Arlington Station (formerly, Arlington) is a former unincorporated community, now annexed to Riverside in Riverside County, California. It lies at an elevation of 817 feet (249 m). Arlington Station is located on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, 6 miles (9.7 km) southwest of downtown Riverside.
