Bridgetown North, Ohio

Bridgetown is a census-designated place (CDP) in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 14,731 at the 2020 census. In earlier censuses it was listed as the slightly smaller Bridgetown North CDP.

Green Township is one of the twelve townships of Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of the neighboring city of Cincinnati. With a population of 60,424 at the 2020 census, Green Township is the most populous township in Hamilton County, and the second most populous township in Ohio. It was founded in 1809.

The Western Hills Airport (also called Frank Airport and Cheviot Airport) was the first airport in western Hamilton County, Ohio. The airport was located in Bridgetown, Ohio. The Airport operations began in 1929. It was shut down during World War II, but was reopened later. It slowly went into decline until the corporation ceased services in 1949 as the aircraft outgrew the facility.

Cheviot is a city in west-central Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of Cincinnati. The population was 8,658 at the 2020 census.

Mack is a census-designated place (CDP) in Green and Miami townships, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 11,585 at the 2010 census. At prior censuses, the community was listed as two separate CDPs, Mack North and Mack South.

Oak Hills High School is a four-year public secondary school located in Bridgetown, Ohio, with a mailing address of Cincinnati. Oak Hills often is referred to as "OHHS" by its students and faculty. It is run by the Oak Hills Local School District. With approximately 2,500 students enrolled annually, Oak Hills is one of the largest public high schools in Ohio. It is a member of the 10-school Greater Miami Conference.

Monfort Heights South was a census-designated place (CDP) in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 4,466 at the 2000 census. For the 2010 census the area was merged into the new Monfort Heights CDP.

Mack North was a census-designated place (CDP) in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,529 at the 2000 census. For the 2010 census, it became part of the Mack CDP.

Covedale is a former village in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The main area of the village was annexed by the city of Cincinnati and is now a neighborhood of about 15,000 people in the western part of the city. When it was annexed, the village disincorporated and its remaining area reverted to Green Township, with a small fragment going to Delhi Township. Covedale is located about six miles west of downtown Cincinnati. It is primarily a residential neighborhood of tree lined streets with brick and Tudor-style homes. Commercial areas are mainly centered about Glenway Avenue. The U.S. Census provides population and demographic data for the area that remains in the townships, Covedale (CDP).

Covedale is a census-designated place (CDP) in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 6,472 at the 2020 census. The CDP represents the part of the former village of Covedale that was not annexed by the city of Cincinnati in the 1890s.

Westwood United Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Constructed in 1896 for an established congregation, it has been named a historic site. Westwood Methodist Episcopal Church formed in 1838, and the members worshipped in each others' houses until 1842. By the 1890s, the members were ready for a newer building, and they contracted with master architect Samuel Hannaford to design it. Hannaford had designed numerous Cincinnati-area churches by this time, concentrating on the Gothic Revival and Romanesque Revival styles.: 3  Completed in 1896, the building was functionally unchanged for its first thirty years, although the first of multiple additions was constructed in 1926.: 6 The church occupies a corner lot at the heart of the Westwood neighborhood. A clear example of the Gothic Revival style, the church is distinguished by a tall steeple crowned by a yet taller spire. The overall massing of the building is composed by its multi-gabled form and extensive fenestration, filled with stained glass, and the exterior is covered with rough-faced ashlar stonework.: 6  Slates cover the roof, and elements of copper and sandstone are prominent, due to the copper covering on the eight-sided spire and the large sandstone lintels surrounding the windows in the belfry and the main section of the building. Much of the building's ornamentation is also placed on the steeple, including windows with fleurs de lis and quatrefoils in their designs, and buttresses supporting the overall structure.In 1974, central Westwood was designated a historic district, the Westwood Town Center Historic District, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the church (now part of the United Methodist Church) was included as one of the district's contributing properties.: 6  Six years later, the church was individually listed on the Register, along with more than fifty other Hannaford-designed buildings in the Cincinnati area; like most of the other buildings in the group, it qualified for designation because of its historically significant architecture.
