Arizona Museum of Natural History

The i.d.e.a. Museum (formerly the Arizona Museum for Youth) is a museum designed for exhibiting, teaching, and interacting with the fine arts. It changed its name on February 6, 2014, to i.d.e.a., which stands for "imagination, design, experience, art." The i.d.e.a. Museum is primarily designed for younger age groups but has exhibits, classes and activities designed for all age groups. The museum hosts several changing exhibitions each year and features ArtVille, an art-town for kids ages 0 – 4. As part of the exhibits, art classes, workshops and family programs are available to teach art principles and techniques. The i.d.e.a. Museum is run and operated by the City of Mesa, Arizona and is located at 150 Pepper Place in downtown Mesa.

The West Second Street Historic District is the oldest historic district in the city of Mesa, Arizona. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 and features a greater variety of architectural styles than other historic districts in the city. Styles represented include Colonial Revival, Spanish Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, and Pueblo Revival. The district includes many homes of Mesa's most prominent families from its early history.The original boundaries of the district were roughly between Robson St. and Center St., from 1st St. to 3rd St. In 2003, the district was expanded to include the entire area roughly bounded by Robson St., University Dr. and MacDonald St.An annual historic home tour, sponsored by the Mesa Historical Museum, allows the public to visit several homes in the district.

The Woman's Club of Mesa was a women's club in Mesa, Arizona. Their former clubhouse building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is now the Guild of the Vale.

Heritage Academy is a traditional public charter high school in central Mesa, Arizona serving grades 7-12. It opened in 1995 as one of the first charter schools in the state.

Center/Main St is a station on the Metro light rail line in Mesa, Arizona, United States. The station is located one block east of the intersection of East Main Street and North Center Street and opened on August 22, 2015.

The Mesa Arts Center is a performing and visual arts complex in downtown Mesa, Arizona. At more than 210,000 square feet (20,000 m2) square feet, the $95 million facility, completed in 2005, is the largest comprehensive arts campus in the state.The Mesa Arts Center encompasses four performance venues, from the intimate 99-seat Farnsworth Studio Theater to the 1,600-seat Ikeda Theater. The center is home to the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, which houses five art galleries with 5,500 sq ft (510 m2) of exhibition space. The facility also features 14 visual and performing art classroom studios. Multi-use areas throughout the campus provide both indoor and outdoor gathering and presentation spaces.

Wilkes University, Mesa, is a private university located in Mesa, Arizona. It began offering classes in Arizona in 2013. The university was established to provide first-generation college students access to higher education. It was one of four colleges invited to participate in Mesa's H.E.A.T. (Healthcare, Education, Aerospace, Technology/Tourism) Initiative for Economic Development.In 1933, the Wilkes University main campus was founded in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The university signed an agreement with Mesa, Arizona to bring a satellite location to the city in July 2012. Under the agreement, Mesa negotiated a five-year lease for Wilkes University in the Mesa Center for Higher Education.Wilkes University, Mesa began offering classes in 2013. It was the fourth university to open a campus in Mesa that year. In 2013, the university began offering a MBA program. The main campus was ranked 74th best regional university in the northern United States by U.S. News & World Report the following year. In November 2014, Wilkes University, Mesa offered over $150,000 in scholarships to Mesa residents. The university focuses on providing education opportunities to first-generation students.The university hosted a writer's conference and All-Collegiate poetry slam in December 2014. In January 2015, Wilkes University, Mesa began offering business majors including accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing and sports and event management. Additionally, the university added master's degrees in creative writing and education to its degree plans as well as a doctor of education program in educational leadership. Wilkes University, Mesa graduated its first class of MBA students in December 2014.

Rendezvous Park was a baseball stadium on the grounds of a city park by the same name in Mesa, Arizona. It most notably served as a Major League Baseball spring training ballpark used by the Chicago Cubs from 1952 to 1965 and by the Oakland Athletics from 1969 to 1976.The stadium was closed in 1976 when it was replaced by the construction of the original Hohokam Stadium a mile to the north.The stadium site and surrounding park were subsequently redeveloped, with part becoming the site of the Mesa Convention and Conference Center.

Mesa Amphitheatre is an outdoor concert venue with lawn seating located in Mesa, Arizona. It opened in 1979 and has a maximum capacity of 4,950 people. The amphitheatre has kept its original design since opening and has become a popular destination for small and big acts alike. Located in central Mesa, it has a tiered lawn large enough to attract popular events, yet intimate enough for everyone to have a good view of the stage.

The West Second Street Historic District includes three residential subdivisions created in 1919–1922 within the original town site of Mesa, Arizona. The district boundary is Second Street on the north and First Street on the south. The western boundary is Pasadena Street and the eastern boundary is Pomeroy Street. The other streets in the district are Hibbert and Wilbur.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 and features many Bungalow style homes which were popular around 1920. There are a few Tudor Revival and Pueblo Revival homes as well as some Ranch homes that were built later after World War II.An annual historic home tour, sponsored by the Mesa Historical Museum, allows the public to visit several homes in the district.
