Pabellón M also known as the InverCap Tower is a mixed-use skyscraper in Monterrey, Mexico. Built between 2010 and 2015, the tower stands at 207.6 m (681 ft) tall with 47 floors and is the current 10th tallest building in Mexico. It was the tallest building in Monterrey between 2015 and 2017.

General I. Zaragoza (Spanish: Estación General I. Zaragoza or Terminal Zaragoza) is a station on Lines 2 and 3 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located in Monterrey, on the heart of the Macroplaza. The station was opened on 30 November 1994 as the eastern terminus of the inaugural section of Line 2, between General Anaya and Zaragoza.This station serves the heart of the Monterrey shopping district. It is one block away from Morelos Street, and Monterrey's Zona Rosa, MARCO museum and the Monterrey City Hall. It is accessible for people with disabilities. It is named after General Ignacio Zaragoza and the nearby Avenida Ignacio Zaragoza. The station logo depicts this Mexican military genius – the hero of the Battle of Puebla – astride his horse.

El puente del Papa (The Pope's Bridge) is a bridge located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, across the usually dry Río Santa Catarina. It took its name when Pope John Paul II offered a Catholic mass over the bridge. A flea market by the same name used to install itself under the bridge during weekends, but after hurricane "Alex" struck the city, among many things, there was a shift in the way traffic was directed and the flea market ceased to exist. Before the Pope John Paul II visited Monterrey, the bridge was called "Puente San Luisito" (St. Little Louis' Bridge), as it connected the "San Luisito" neighborhood, (today, Independencia neighborhood) with Monterrey Downtown, across the Santa Catarina River. The name of "Puente San Luisito" was the name of the bridge for over a century, and in just 20 years, it has been completely forgotten.

Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey (English: Museum of Contemporary Art, Monterrey), abbreviated as MARCO, is a major contemporary art museum, located in the city of Monterrey, in Nuevo León state of northeastern Mexico.MARCO organizes major exhibitions with regional and international contemporary artists. The museum is in the Centro district of Monterrey, adjacent to the Macroplaza and to the Barrio Antiguo district.

The Fundadores Station (Spanish: Estación Fundadores) is a station on Line 2 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located in the intersection of 15 de Mayo street and Cuauhtémoc Avenue in the Monterrey centre. The station was opened on 30 November 1994 as part of the inaugural section of Line 2, between General Anaya and Zaragoza.This station serves the Monterrey centre, and it is located next to the IMSS Hospital No 21, the "Plaza Commercial Fundadores" and the busy Juan Ignacio Ramon street. It is accessible for people with disabilities. This station is one block away from the Monterrey Foundation (hence the name Fundadores which is Spanish for "founders"), and its logo represents the obelisk that is placed in there.

The Macroplaza or La Gran Plaza is a town square or plaza located in the heart of the city of Monterrey, Mexico.The Macroplaza is the fifth-largest plaza in the world and the largest Plaza in Mexico. It has an extension of 400,000 square metres consisting of various monuments, smaller plazas and gardens. The Macroplaza was built in the early 1980s during the governorship of Alfonso Martínez Domínguez. The construction of the Macroplaza required the demolition of several old buildings and houses including a famous movie theater. One of the most iconic monuments of the city is the Faro del Comercio (Lighthouse of Commerce), a 70-meter-tall modern lighthouse located in the same plaza, equipped with a green laser, that shot its light around the city at nights.

Universidad Metropolitana de Monterrey is a private university founded in the late 1980s, located in the Metropolitan area of Monterrey, Mexico.

Faro del Comercio is a monument designed by the accomplished Mexican architect Luis Barragán and constructed in 1984 by architect Raúl Ferrera. It is a recognizable sight in Monterrey among many other modern manmade landmarks, such as Neptune's Fountain (Fuente de la Vida), the Monterrey City Hall, the Papal Bridge (El Puente del Papa), and the Bridge of Unity (Puente de la Unidad) in San Pedro, connecting that municipality to Monterrey. These sites are intended on one hand to complement the city's few remaining traditional landmarks, such as, the Bishopric Palace (Palacio del Obispado) and Museum, the City's Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana de Nuestra Señora de Monterrey), the Central Post Office (old Monterrey City Hall), and the State of Nuevo León Government building, on the north end of the Macroplaza. On the other hand, they are also intended to project an image of a city that prides itself as being the most progressive large industrial city of Mexico. El Faro del Comercio was built in commemoration of the founding of the Chamber of Commerce of Monterrey's on its 100-year anniversary. It is located near the south end of the Macroplaza facing the City's Cathedral and behind the new Monterrey City Hall. El Faro del Comercio is 69.80 meters tall and 12.33 meters wide. Its bright reddish-orange color attracts attention when visiting the Macroplaza, Monterrey's central park. At nights, the landmark frequently projects a rotating green spotlight which interrupts the city's night sky with its beam in a somewhat random cycle in the Metropolitan Area of Monterrey. Recently (2007), many large reflecting white spotlights from the nearby Museum of Mexican History Museo de Historia Mexicana and Santa Lucia Riverwalk, and around the Bishopric Hill where in 2005 the largest Mexican flag was installed (Banderas monumentales) and flown at night, as well as from high-power reflectors of many commercial establishments, clash randomly in the sky, visible from most locations in Monterrey and the surrounding areas. After failing or being "out of commission" for several years due to an impractical technical laser mechanism which intended to have three colored lasers and a much greater visual impact on the dark skies of the surrounding areas, some of the original mechanism was salvaged and partially replaced and redesigned to have some operational ability with the green color. The redesign has some success since green is the color for which the eye is most sensitive and allows the perception of more light for the power limitations. However, the new design falls far short of the original claims for the construction. The structure was repainted after the laser renovation and reinaugurated at the 196th Independence Day Anniversary celebration on September 16, 2006.

The Archdiocese of Monterrey (Latin: Archidioecesis Monterreyensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or archdiocese of the Catholic Church located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The Archdiocese of Monterrey is a metropolitan see; its suffragan dioceses are the Ciudad Victoria, Linares, Matamoros, Nuevo Laredo, Piedras Negras, Saltillo and Tampico.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of Monterrey (Spanish: Catedral Metropolitana de Nuestra Señora de Monterrey) also Monterrey Cathedral is the main Catholic church and home of the Archdiocese of Monterrey. It is located in the capital of the state of Nuevo León in Mexico. The building has a central nave in the shape of a Latin cross flanked by niches chapels. The ship has arched vaults topped with an octagonal dome. The interior is sober and eclectic. It has a mix of architectural styles, neoclassical and baroque, the latter especially on its façade. The chapel of the tabernacle features an embossed silver front. In the choir there is a Merklin organ from 1893 (currently damaged and not in use). It was built between 1705 and 1791 and declared a cathedral in 1777, when Pope Pius VI created the Diocese of Linares. It has a mixture of architectural styles, neoclassical and baroque; the latter especially in its facade.

The Universidad Regiomontana (known by its shortened name U-ERRE, and previously by the abbreviation UR) is an institution of higher education in Monterrey, México. This university has its origin in the Instituto Modelo de Educación (Model Education Institute), which was converted into a university by Eduardo Elizondo, a former governor of Nuevo León. In 1974 a group of entrepreneurs bought the university: Rogelio Sada Zambrano, Bernardo Garza Sada, Eugenio Garza Lagüera, Andrés Marcelo Sada, Hernán Rocha, Jorge Garza, Alfonso Garza, Rodolfo Barrera, Manuel Llaguno, Humberto Lobo, Alberto Santos de Hoyos, and Alberto Fernández Ruiloba. The UR system has a secondary school and multiple campuses centrally located in the metropolitan area of Monterrey. At the undergraduate level there are three interconnected campuses and offices - Business Administration Aulas I (FACCEA), Humanities and Social Sciences Aulas II (FACHYCS), and Engineering and Architecture (FACIYA) Aulas III. 32 undergraduate degrees are offered, 10 of which are engineering degrees. The Graduate School also offers Master's degrees in Business Administration, Administration of Industrial Process, Administration of Safety and Occupational Health, Communications, Business Law, Fiscal Law, Labor Law, Private Law, Education, Electronics and Controls, Tourism Management, and Logistics. A number of programs are offered online. It is considered the third most important private university in the region, competing with the Universidad de Monterrey.

The Palacio de Gobierno, or the Government Palace of Nuevo León, is a state government building in Monterrey, the capital city of Nuevo León state, in northern Mexico. The Neoclassical style building is located in the northernmost section of the Macroplaza in the city. The Palacio de Gobierno is the location of the office of the Governor of Nuevo León.
